Yeah I had already warned the wife I was buying car parts come tax season. Thankfully we don't have any other major expenses at the moment, but we've got money put back for "surprises" anyways.

I need to get some new tires for the 500 too, but i'm not in a huge rush for those.

Man, when did all of these hyperlinked words show up? Even our signatures are being hit.

Jealous of ya'll buying cool car parts stuff. All I want to do is drive my cars again. Don't sell off those 5 points and racing seats. Save 'em in case you ever do anything serious with the car. Same goes for that super fancy roll bar you have. At worst, they can be your rainy day fund tha you can move really quickly.

Did you guys decide on coming to Carlisle yet?

Ray if you're seeing hyperlinked words, it's something to do with your end. I don't have them. Probably ad crap or something.

I'm not selling the harnesses, but I may sell one of the seats and keep the drivers side one if I ever need it. The roll bar is staying in the car forever.

I just want some stock seats back in it because the racing seats are a lot harder to get in and out of. Plus it's REALLY annoying when you go through the drive thru and realize your wallet is in your back pocket.

I can't do Carlisle unfortunately. We don't have the extra funds or the extra time for me to take an extra leisure trip. The Dragon is the only car related event I can pull off because we have to make a trip to GA and VA this year, then we also need to go to Cinci a few times this year.

Weird. Wonder how I get around it? I'll have to google search. Its probably some stupid update Chrome added or something. Its seriously ever 5-10 words.

At least you're driving the miata. Looking at mine covered in snow in the driveway is disheartening.

Dump Chrome. Chrome has become really crappy lately on Windows. I was a big supporter of it for a couple of years but I went back to Firefox about 3 months ago because Chrome was letting crap get through that i've never had to worry about before.

Switched to Firefox and the issues went away immediately and never popped up again.

Yeah we're supposed to get hit by 2ft of snow next week, so mine will probably be staying in the garage more during that time. It's been really nice driving it this week though. It's a blast to drive around and is definitely going to get driven as much as possible now. I'm hooked on it.

I'm hooked enough that I told the wife yesterday that I think i'm gonna drive the 500 for a while longer. We had talked about trading it in when we move for something 4x4 or AWD, but it's only got 145k miles on it and now since I have the Miata it will get even less miles put on it. I'd rather just save that money and keep fixing up the Miata instead. Plus it's been a really solid and easy to maintain vehicle.

SAY WHAT NOW? 2 feet? Is it supposed to climb up the cost? Man, I hope so, I have a ski trip planned the 7,8,9!

I'll definitely be switching back to firefox. Freggin stupid Target fiasco compromised my credit card, in addition to my debit card. Its good that they caught it, but man! All of the auto-pays and accounts linked to that card are null and void now. Grumblegrubmlebitchbitchgrumble.

I agree with you keeping the 500. Its the car that you can fall back on if/when one of the others have an issue and have to be down for a few days at a time. No rush to fix, just get to it when you can. The miata is stupid easy to repair. They really kept to the KISS approach designing that car.

That's what they're predicting - I don't see how though, but we'll see. I'm gonna say it'll end up just being a few inches at most.

Yeah we had to deal with the Target fiasco as well. Good times.

That's where i'm at on it - it's just a good, reliable car. There's nothing it does exceptionally well, but it's good in a lot of categories. Plus, what would I replace it with? Another sedan most likely. So why sink more cash into something else when this one is paid for right? I've made that mistake too many times now, so I guess i've finally learned my lesson.

You're correct on the Miata being stupid easy to repair. Everything i've done to it has been SO MUCH easier than the other cars i've owned. I am paying a friend to do the timing belt for me though, just because I haven't ever done one and i'd rather it be done right.

FWIW, I'm seeing rollover/hyperlinked words too. Suddenly, just as of yesterday.

Normally I use adblock plus, but I have NICO and RPS whitelisted because they make me happy.

I get the same hyperlinks on Firefox, so it's not a Chrome issue.

I run AdBlock on everything, so maybe that's why i'm not seeing them.

Chrome can still EAD right now. I cross platform unity, but it's not worth it for the general PITA it can be. Firefox FTW.

I might try to snag some parts with what's left of my student loan payout. All of our tax money is going to debt this year, so I know I won't be able to snag any of it.

I was getting some horrendous pop up ads, rollover ads, you name it until a few weeks ago. Ran a malware sweep and re-instated Avast's ad-block. Haven't had a thing at all since then. Still getting annoying click to close banner ads on my iPhone. Keep getting them for Kia right now and it only happens on NICO. It wouldn't bother me normally, but the scripting slows Safari to a crawl and I keep miss-clicking because of it.

Same to you B. I wish it was 4pm already.

I think I tracked down some OEM seats for the Miata last night. I just have to confirm they're in good shape first before I make a 2hr drive to go get them.

Happy Friday guys. These ads are nuts, so so many.

Anyone ever hurt their back jumping on a trampoline? Mine is incredibly sore/hurting mid-back after jumping for an hour at one of those trampoline park places. Stairs hurt, can't bend very far to the left or right, have a hard time twisting. I did a lot of research and there are three basic suggestions:
1. Pinched nerve
2. Herniated disc
3. General muscle soreness from the sustained activity.

I'm really hoping for #3, but man, it doesn't seem to be going away. Injury occurred on Sunday afternoon. Lifted on Monday. Lifted on Tuesday and then ran a bit (in a lot of pain). I haven't done anything since Wednesday in a effort to heal, so today is technically day 3 and still hurts like hell. Any of you guys ever run into something like this?

I'd say pinched nerve combined with muscle pain. Take some tylenol, ibuprofen, or ect and rest. It may take a few days, but it should let up after some rest. If not, go to a chiropractor.

You probably just need to work on your back muscles a little more before you take on such a vigorous twisting activity again. Sucks not to be a youngster anymore huh...

Ibuprofen, not Tylenol. Motrin is a far better anti-inflammatory then Tylenol.

If you can Ray, try to lie down in an declined position, feet up, head down. This unloads the spine and allows for better circulation etc. I have always found immediate relief when I use this method. Lots and lots of slow stretching as well.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Getting older sucks!
Even though I pride myself on being in very good physical shape, things can still happen and it just sucks when it interrupts your training when its on the incline. I stretch nearly every morning, but thats just habit and not very intense.

Thanks for the decline idea, Brian. It makes a lot of sense. The gym is a door away in the hallway from my office. I'm going to go do that a couple of times today.

So if the car isn't designed for that temperature, why the s*** is the dealer selling it there? Why is the dealer there in the first place, if that's the case?!

Scum.
