Mornin' gents.

Going to pick up some new seats for the Miata tomorrow. Gotta drive 2 hrs to go get them, but the guy sent me a bunch of pics of them and they look like they're in pretty decent shape. $50 each, so I can't complain. I'm just glad to be able to finally dump the racing buckets.

Thats a great price man!
Are you going to do some foam-ectomy?
I've been wanting to put a memory foam insert in mine, but don't know whether or not that would be a great idea or a very poor one since I might have over looked something on the "cons" list.

I do intend to do the foam-ectomy on the drivers seat. The passenger one will get left alone.

Now maybe the wife will actually ride with me in it :chuckle:

She has ridden in it once and despised the seats, so hopefully now she'll enjoy riding in it a little more.

Nah, now she'll hate it because it messes up her hair. Its always something. However, having a summer car has grown on her. There may be a 240sx 'vert on the horizon down the road. Or an Edge style V6 Mustang. You know, cars no one wants so the price is low and are usually bought by old people. :gapteeth:

Yeah, she already hates it now when I just let the windows down in the car, so I don't think there will be much top down cruising with her. She did seem to have fun in it the one time she rode in it, but she still thought it was too loud. Kinda funny, because when we met I had a lifted Ford Ranger with straight dual exhaust on it and she never complained.

I wouldn't mind having a Mustang vert myself, but i'd only go for a GT or a Cobra. I just don't think I could do a V6, no matter how cheap.

I just created a windshield washer system from a reservoir I had laying around and the universal nozzle kit, vacuum hose and a hose "t" from Advance Auto for like $27. Damn, what a ripoff! Too bad all the precipitation has required me to have the ability to spray blue crap on my car. Ugh. Looks like Nissan uses the same power plug for all it's reservoirs tho, interesting...

Mornin folks.

Ray, you can't be serious. Salma Hayek hands down. Sandra Bullock just doesn't even come close to doing anything for me.

I went and picked up my seats yesterday, got them home and tried to install them. Go figure that the idiot who installed the roll bar took out the factory seat belts and didn't consider how much of a pain in the arse it would be to reinstall them later. THE WHOLE ROLL BAR HAS TO COME OUT OF THE DAMN CAR TO INSTALL THEM. WTF! :argh :picard:

For me this has been the best winter since we moved here 6 years ago. Plenty of snow and good cold weather. That's exactly why I want to move further north too - I hate hot weather. I'd take this any day of the week over summer heat.

Mornin' Chris! If we actually got a decent amount of snowfall it would be different, but all we get is a few snow flurries, sleet and freezing rain. Also when it gets this cold here my shop's heat runs constantly and never gets over about 55 degrees. When i was younger a could deal with this s*** better.

Mornin Ben!

Yeah I feel ya there -that's why I hated GA so much. Cold weather, but no real snowfall.

Our shop here stays pretty cold in the winter too. That's the only reason i'm starting to want warmer weather again, because I have projects to get done but it's too cold to work very much in the garage. I've got half of the interior ripped out in the Miata, but I need it's too darn cold to be rolling around on the concrete right now trying to get bolts out of the roll bar.

It's just driving me nuts having so much stuff scattered around the garage. I have a new shelving unit to put up and i've got 4 seats, random parts, and a convertible top sitting in various places. I just want to get everything cleaned up and installed!

I found out we may have to sink some money in our bathroom soon because I found out the wood flooring under the toilet in our bathroom is soft in spots. I just hope it's only contained to that area, but at minimum we're going to have to tear all of the floor up and replace some wood.

Several friends of mine have radiant slab heat installed in their garage floor. It's expensive, but totally worth it if you're gonna be doing that in a cold winter area like up here.

I definitely would like to improve the heating in my garage, but since we'll be moving in about a year i'm gonna suck it up for now. In our next house I fully intend to have a heated and well insulated garage.

Well maybe they sell a roll-out electric mat you could set up. Just keep some wood planks around so you don't puncture it with a jack-stand or something, lol

Morning fellas. Star'd in a video for scallops yesterday. Reading off the teleprompter while adding excitement and emotion is tougher than it looks. Was a good time. At one point I couldn't stop laughing because the thought of "how do p0rn stars do this?" entered my mind.
I'll have to post up the link later on once its all edited and ready to be released.
