I know how you feel, man. I had to get rid of the Q for the same reason. I still miss that car.

What up Ben? And good morning- a few days late.
I'm very close to firing up the miata.
IAT is wired and in, intercooler pipes are cinched down, and boost gauge run.
Only need a fitting for the wastegate/manual boost controller and to swap out the injectors to be finished.

I have a question for you- the coupler for my BOV is *just* barely too big, say approx. 1/8 of an inch all around. Will it hurt anything to cinch it down with clamps?

Did you adjust your intercooler yet?

I am having the same issue with my BOV.It won't hurt to cinch it down. You might want to give it a couple of wraps with some Gorilla Tape or something like this.

I plan on redoing the intercooler this weekend.

What's up with NICO? It's slowly becoming more and more dead. I remember a time when missing a day or two of reading posts would put you pages behind in genchat. Now, we have a full week's worth of activity all on the first page. And it seems like a whole lot of the activity now is actually from mods/admins. I'm not complaining, but there has to have been a huge drop in usage over the last 6-12 months. What gives?

Good call. I have Gorilla Tape in my tool box, the stuff rocks. I'll give it a wrap around or two.

I just bent my home made brackets to make ther intercooler sit right/evenly in the air dam. Was A LOT easier than trying to re-adjust the hood lactch for the 5th time.

I blame the lack of boobies and profanity.

Also, we all got a lot older than we were 5 years ago. Most of the folks don't come on anymore because they're busy with careers, kids, etc. At least, thats my best guess.

Since I can't swear or show boobies or butts to help you out, I'll post various states of war over the ages.

Whats up Ben?

I got the car dropped off stands last night.
Fuel injectors were swapped out but I didn't have small enough clamps for the BOV connection. Still need to grab a fitting for the wastegate to operate and thats it. Car will run this weekend! (with a loud a** exhaust).

Mornin' Ray!
Be sure to go hooning around your neighborhood with the open exhaust. :chuckle:

What size injectors and BOV are you running?

I upgraded to 265cc injectors. They're stock Miata injectors from the NB's with VVT so they were plug and play. I just have to make the change in the Megasquirt software.

The BOV is nothing special, its a stock Eagle Talon piece.

And you bet your a** I'll go hoon around my neighborhood and typical fun cruise route with an open exhaust to let the tuning analyzer do its thing. :D

I am running a 1G DSM BOV also,i think they are good to about 20lbs boost iirc.

Hopefully i will have my car done within the next month.
