is the trunk rigged with taser guns? without pressing the charlie and the chocolate factory piano keypad the right tune... the trunk pops, and you get tazed with the full power of all the amps? Thats what it is... im convinced.

What i can say... is that id consider not posting pictures on the forum (ofcourse send me them in an email) of the finished product until AFTER stillen day... it will make it that much more like the return of the jedi when you hop out of the car in the nissan shirt and set off the local bank's sizemic (sp?) alarms

Yeah, should be there for sure... already got permission from the wife... the thing is, I don't know what time they'll be finished with the car.. maybe not until 8-9pm... I then have to go home, drop off all the boxes and old speakers and amps, and then get back on the road to costa meda... I'm thinking I may not be there until ~ 10:30pm... what time does Hotters close???

I thought I mentioned that earlier in the thread... only the folks that go to the Stillen Meet will see it on Saturday... I'll post pics of the setup after the Stillen meet...

I won't post pics, since I'll give Rob the pleasure. But the system is sick.

His sub pushes out so much air that it feels like it was air conditioning. It felt good.

I appreciate the love fellas.... it was funny.. I had three different groups of dudes to ask me to join their car club... gonna stay solo for right now...

In any case, for me, sound quality is very important.... with the Boston pro 60's... when they are properly tuned and EQ'd, they do not distort, even at max volume with 200 watts of power going to them... I didn't have time to properly tune them before the show, so they are a bit improved now that I've gotten back to San Diego and I let my audio advice guy (yes even I need one of those) do the fine tuning...

My custom guy has connects with a few magazines, so they are coming out next week to snap some photos... we'll see how that goes, so stay tuned..

thanks again for all the support throughout this last month or so of planning, prepping, and getting things together... looking forward to seeing some more folks at future events!

that is CLEAN. Good job man. Is the Nissan logo lit? I know you said that you had some "glow ideas," so I assume it is, lol. I was right about the trunk lid too. I like how you went stealth on the speakers. How do the stock dampers hold up under the extra weight of the speakers on the lid? I'd love to hear it, but I'm oh so far away...

Thats cuz someone from pimp my ride did it!

Doc, how does it sound when the trunk is closed? Ive still got some serious rattles even after 50 feet of bquiet and dynamat just in the trunk. I even did the lid.

you guessed it! the NISSAN logo you see is in plexiglass, and it lights up blue .. i can control the lighting from my Kenwood DNX-8120... its pretty sick! ...regarding the speakers, yeah, its crazy because it just looks like a design, but when you play the system with the trunk up, it sounds like you're in the car!

The Hood dampers hold up perfecty, its a little harder to open it, but once opened, it holds up like a champ!

yes this is pimp my ride quaity work because one of the guys that worked on this actually did some work with pimp my ride... the other guy worked with Syndicate here in San Diego... Actually, trunkwise, I'm looking pretty good. There's plexiglass over the amps and caps, but we also have another wooden floor to cover everything up when I'm not showing off the trunk. We were able to lower the floor a bit also when we pulled out that thick styrofoam stuff in there, as well as the metal support bracket in the back of the trunk that also steals about 4 inches of depth from us!

If any of you guys want more trunk space, you should go out and just remove all that crap in there, including the spare tire, and metal support thingie in the back, and you'll see there's more trunk space than what meets the eye

trunk doesn't sound bad at all, I definately dynamatted a lot of the trunk, including those pocket areas down on the sides of the trunk... Also, I broke off the pressure relief valves in the trunk and dynamatted over the remaining pieces!

Lastly, we rewrapped EVERYTHING in the trunk with black suede, including the plastic piece where the trunk lid comes down and latches on the bottom... And since we wrapped the lid with black suede where the speakers and extra monitor are housed, when the trunk closes, that's soft suede on soft suede instead of metal on plastic, thus elimating another potential place for rattling!

I wont let any of the inferior smileys describe my thoughts... un-beee-leivable (as my favorite NBA sportcaster says)...

Truly one of a kind... i want to see the nissan lightup! Also... with the wood overlay in the trunk... i assume it wont scratch the glass or any of the components... but whats the storage situation after that? 3 12 packs of bottles?

Any way you can fit a set of golf clubs in? (front seat maybe?)

Also... whats the gameplan if you (unfortunatley) get a hole in the tire... flatbed on the spot?

Did you replace the factory battery?

PS3/Xbox/Wii in the trunk? if not, im sure i can get a hold of a modded xbox you can play all the old school hits on for cheap...

i cant wait to see the car!

the overlay in the trunk will also be wrapped in black suede, so no it won't scratch the plexiglass... also, the plexi is a bit sunken in, its not flush with the suede, thus allowing for more protection against rubs...

STorage is still pretty goos, remember, I gained about 2-3 inches of depth.. the only thing I lost was that little tight space below the 6 x 9's... I also have little storage pockets underneath the panels on the sides, those pop up also...

I don't play golf, but a gym bag still fits nicely, and even a small suitcase

yes, flatbed on the spot for flats... but I have AAA plus so they're pretty good about stuff like that... it was the same way with my last car, and it was never a problem!

Still have the factory battery because the 3.5 comes with a powerful 130amp alternator... but still, I will be replacing the battery with a batcap in addition to the two 1 farad caps I already have!

No Xbox or PS2 in the trunk... I don't play video games ever so that would be unnecessary for me.

Exactly, if you look back through the pics, i show one with the panel off so you can see what's behind it..

and rather than just speakers, I have an Infinity component setup with crossovers for a nice full range sound to combat the Bass when the trunk is open.

Ahh yes, I forgot, the components and monitor in the trunk are hooked up to a relay that's connected to the trunk light, so it only turns on when the trunk is opened
