Here in Florida no one even cares. Me and about 15 other cars, mostly 240's were at this discrete parking lot behind this place drifting and stuff. Out of nowhere a cop pulls in and takes all of our ID's and searches our cars... We all have gutted interior and aftermarket parts, most have swaps. There were a few SR's and an rb20. He didnt do anything as far as our cars being altered. Its actually cool because he let us all go.

That really blows that you have to delete everything, you cant just get a bottom mount and some black piping/black intercooler and stealthy goods for after you take it off and get everything cleared up then reinstall?

Man I would just "pay" someone to "ref it."

Love the car though!
Sorry to thread jack but how much does this cost? I will come up there and drive with you for real... /thread jack.

well i already got my car stock, it only took me about 10 hours of labor starting yesterday afternoon and finishing today around 2:00PM

so there you have it ka-t -> n/a in about a day's work =]

I think i'm gonna stay stock for awhile, at least until I get it smogged in December then we'll see what to do from there. It sure is nice being able to drive somewhere without worrying about cops though. I'll try and get pics of my stock sexiness

I don't think there is anyone else who has went back and forth from stock to KA-T on the same motor as you.

Hey, I agree with people that were saying to try to get it thrown out. From a legal perspective the cops can (and will) bust you for something that isn't right to a T. And since your car is a Nissan 240sx, and NOT a Nissan Silvia...yea.

Call up a lawyer and ask. Him getting that wrong is just as bad as saying your car was a Honda Civic

you'll need the injectors and the mafs also...about 1500 bucks i've spent right there it throws a code and that's why i had to take it out..it does give it a noticeable bit of power though

Yeah cali sucks when it comes to cops and cars, but I love it here!

I got pulled over and asked to pop my hood, In the end got a Ref Ticket. I went to court to fight the ticket and the cop didn't show up. ticket was dropped and fees refunded. My car is now a trailer queen.

Just don't want any more drama.

yeah but i kinda think the cop woulda pulled me over anyway since my car looks like a race car...and i'm part asian so he probably thought this was tokyo drift or some s*** lol

I'm considering getting an apexi axleback exhaust just for looks since my stock muffler looks like a piece. My buddy said he'll sell is universal apex'i N1 muffler for 80 bucks I don't car about being flashy anymore cuz i'm bone stock with all the emmissions hooked up

my dad got that for me, so idk where to find that...look for "terminal blocks" though, you should find something very similar.

and yeah that red plastic thing is stock, try the dealership if you need one.
SleepyHB wrote:So in cali you get ticket just for not having a stock exhaust?
idk bout a ticket but they can pull you over and pop your hood for just having "modified exhaust"...it's such BS cuz a different style exhaust tip has no affect on emmissions but you get treated like you are a hardcore street racer.
