Haha... you're impatient? Man it's pure torture for me. As Rosanne Rosannadanna used to say "It's always one thing or the other" Had to relocate the power steering reservoir, get the plumbing for the remote oil relocation and the IC piping figured out. The IAP mani is posing more problems than I expected. The position of the turbo outlet leaves little room for the MAF connection because of how close it places the inlet to the distributor. Was playing with the idea of doing a blow-through or map sensor system. It all takes time...sigh... I'll take a few more shots tomrrow.

Well, it really looks incredible. Where in PA are you? I would kill to see this thing in person, please tell me you're close to Pittsburgh or Johnstown.

EDIT: Err... you're in Darby, closer to Philly -- Guess I'll have to forget the whole meeting up thing unless you wanna come to Pittsburgh Raceway Park sometime, I'll pay your entry fee when it's running if you come?? LOL, doesn't sound like a great deal for you I know, but!! we are notorious for having some pretty good times in respect to other tracks in PA and OH area.

Just want to share a little joy. But first, I wanted to say if I haven't already, a huge SHOUT OUT to "Bike Mike" and Will of JDM Motorsportz, for their top-notch work and enthusiasm! Big Mike is da MAN! These guys are responsible for making project happen and I am grateful!

So the sleeping biatch woke for the first time and came through with flying colors. Now that we got the rings seated and the motor turning we can get it completely hooked and tuned... wheee haaa!

Here's a couple of stills from a video we made. I'll try to fugure out the best way to show the vid... but for now... flash!

I'd fab a cold air box, tool box foam works really well for this. Here's a quick example...

Funny you should say that, the plan is to actually fabricate metal panels that essentially cover both sides of the engine. Kinda like the Corvette panels, well not as slick but think it would be really nice. Also plumb a vent duct to the intake side from the bumper as you suggest. But that's down the road a bit, along with full, front and rear bottom diffusers.

Taming the beast. Been messing with trying to get this "monster" tuned and it's driving me crazee and driving me to the poor house fast. (Been driving a rent-a-car for three months) Any way, as time is of the essence we were unsuccessful in making the Greddy E-Manage Ultimate function properly as the software does not support the KA24DE (although the latest spec sheet list it as one of the motor supported). To make a long story short the car is running pig rich, much like "rlvq35de" woes. We ended up getting a Apexi AFC Neo, (This is a pretty cool unit filled with some nice features) to manage the fuel side until we can decide ot learn more on how to make the EMU work. We've got it to idle nice but it between 2000-1000 rpm it really stumbles, after 3000 she winds up so sweet... I just want to get is just civil enough to get it tuned and dynoed. Sadly will miss debuting the car at Street Wars in Englishtown tomorrow... More to come stay tuned...

Not that you haven't probably tried it, but have you tried to load the SR20's stuff? I thought I read somewhere that it's what they did to get it running right.

Just my $.02

Yes we tried the SR20 DE and DET, but is doesn't support the start variables. The drop down menu does not provide for KA24DE unfortunately.

what PSI are you tunning at? Does this hesitation in the 2-3k range go away after the engine has warmed up? What's your timing set at? What injectors? and whats your correction in this range?

This has been a really long road to turbo heaven. Hopefully going to make it to the dyno Thursday weather permitting. Turns out the sard FPR is a inline unit to be used with factory regulator. Being that i'm using a top mount fuel rail the the oem unit does not connect as it should. I was wondering what you KA-t guys are using to get around this. Begi makes a stand alone unit but it's a bit pricey. What are you AMS guys using? I'm running 68lb injectors.

Thanks WD, I thought that was a good suggestion too, but my builder doesn't seem to buy it. He wants me to get the Begi unit. Any way I've got a bit of a ghetto rig on it now, we're gonna put it on the dyno tomorrow morning. I will post results as soon as I get them... We did take teh car for a est run yesterday... Dayum!... most recent pics...

Once again, big shout outs to "Big Mike" and "Will" at JDM Motorsportz!
