I just read this entire post. Awesome build man. I was wondering where you got the adapter for the oil filter location? Again, awesome build.

Hey all, thought I'd bump this thread. Been a long time since I posted on Nico, and as the October car on the 2008 Nico Calendar has been turned, I send my greetings. I got pretty sick last winter and went through some serious surgery to get healthy again. The car is on the road and is always need as all cars this age. Any way I'll post some pictures later but as an update, JDM Will rewired the whole engine harness and did a fine tuck job, so the the bay looks real clean. He also did a kool blow-through set up with the MAF, the car still runs rich but it love to boost. I haven't really done much to her and try not to drive her too often, but she still is my DD when I'm not riding my bike...

Aloha...Kal

Kaleo55, this is a great thread man.

I wanted to ask you how you mounted the bumper, did you have to cut it in order to fit the FMIC?

Yes, I had to modify the front bumper to accommodate the 3"inter-cooler. About 2" inches was trimmed from the main opening, and the oem bumper reinforcement beam was also shaved to accommodate the bumper. I have two front bumpers so when one gets too messed up I change it out, I try to keep one in show condition.

Whoops... haha, I inadvertently replied under JDM Will's name... so solly bro... for those of you who don't know, Will, is the designated (not neccessarily eager) guardian angel of Cayenne and the man that made this ride possible. If you're out east in the Philly area check out his and Richards', shop, Northern Liberties Auto.

Don't really have a shot of the actual part being modified, but this shot shows where we had to trim the bumper opening.

Thought I'd give this old thread a bump and whore the car a little more. Here's a couple recent shots of the engine bay as it looks now. Will did a nice wire tuck after slaving over redoing the engine, and doing a blow through set-up...

Baller status. Nice work. So much time invested into that engine bay. The polished everything isnt my style but it still looks dope.

hate to bump an old thread but i wanted to ask kaleo about his car. i think i might have seen it at carlisle today, but i was slightly confused since the car had Georgia plates and wing, but i recognized the paint scheme right away as well as the engine bay. the car i saw had lots of ricey car audio stuff and tvs, and red racing seats as well as lambo doors. i get a feeling this wasnt your car, but there were so many similarities, like teh identical paint, same tails, same ka-t setup with polished vc, etc. i'm just kinda curious.

Haha, nope wasn't me. Didn't make it to Carlisle this year. The car has just been seeing daily driver duty and wear and tear has been taking a toll on it. Needs a little tlc at this point but it's serving it's purpose. We'll be at the S-Chassis meet in June at Fort Washington...

absolutely gorgeous, i'm in love.

the ka-t build i am planning will start just like yours, except i won't have the monies to do all the pretty paint. i didn't see if you answered, but someone asked what you used to polish the intake mani? sorry for being late about asking this - but the polished manis are so sexy.
