Well, if it is happening after kinda pushing the car (ie... being in boost), it is probably because you have an atmospherically vented blow off valve, which is blowing off metetered air.OCHOcinco wrote:hey im new here....i gota 1990 240sx with a red top sr20 swap ....my problem is....sometime when im put in the clutch or pop it into neutral my revs drop really low almost to the point of stalling then go back up....what could be goin on

what kind of wires? Usually if wire fitment is correct, and they are popping out of the holes, it is because the spark plugs aren't in all the way, and air is getting by them, which pops the wires out due to their semi-tight seal.jh3xp wrote:yes i did... i only lubed the tip tho is that right? i mean they only give u so muchbut that shouldnt be the reason they are popping out like that

Beyond that, I dunno (I'm not an SR20 guy)

Yes. The most obvious difference is that the S13 uses an external coil, whereas the S14 uses an internal coil.RCG_Savage wrote:Is there any way to tell the difference between a s13 and s14 ka24de distributors?
I beleive the law is that it is illegal to modify the stock exhaust in any way... which would fail you on the visual. As far as smog goes... I don't see why it would make you fail that unless you had a catalytic converter in your header that gets replaced with straight pipe when you go to a header.giodachamp wrote:Is it true that if you have a aftermarket header, you can't pass California's smog check?
ok thanks.. one more question, since you said you would fail the visual part... can you just hide the aftermarket header beneath the heat shield since it has that in the first place, or is it because it wouldn't fit?PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:I beleive the law is that it is illegal to modify the stock exhaust in any way... which would fail you on the visual.
