I'm not 100% sure on this, but I'm pretty sure the S13 components won't fit in your S14. The dash and wiring harnesses (...and body panels) are one of the few places the 2 cars differ.
What about the ones that say they are for the S14 will they simply just need to be plugged in and screwed on

I'm not sure... I don't have an S14 nor have I ever swapped dashes...You might want to make a new thread about it, or try doing a search.

I read on othe forums the hard lines are different size. Could I just measure the hard one diameter and go from there? I put on a 3/8 for now. I clamped right behind the raised ring part on the hard line cuz at first I put it too far away from it and it was staying fuel toward my left fender

The hard line is made for the 3/8" hose to slip over it, and be secured with a hose clamp.

...I'm having a little trouble seeing what the problem/question is here. Are you looking for a hard line or a hose?

the drivers window molding is pretty much missing, water goes into door and window doesn't shut properly.

I found it and it cost $134... eek. any ideas on fixing the window moulding for cheaper?

Maybe a noob question but, has anyone experienced this. When I first start my car I get 10psi (approx) with minimal idling to let it heat up... after driving it around for awhile, I get a max of 6-7psi, however if I pull off from a stop or even a rolling start (lower the gear and dump the clutch) and I don't give it enough gas... my car seems to go into limb mode where it hits 5psi and then immediately drops to 0 (or vacuum).

I really don't understand... could it be related to oil pressure?

I had this issue with my s13, 240sx.What I did wasRoll the window down, place silicon on the innerside of the lip that connects to the window (so it is hidden), while it is drying press down the lip towards where the window would be (to make it naturaly lean it more towards the window. This will stop the water / wind from entering, worked well for me and I live in a city where it rains 9months of the year.p.s.) I might have used black silicon...but more likely urethane Good luck!

Your boost pressure will be pretty directly related to your throttle input. If you aren't hammering on the throttle, you won't be making boost (or as much boost) as you would if you were full throttle. It also depends on what RPM you are at.

All results are at full (open) throttle... the third situation, where it goes to 5psi then drops to 0, almost feels like a stumble...and a fuel issue...but my pressure and ecu don't prompt codes

Any other ideas?

Could be a boost leak or something... You might want to try asking in the SR forum.

Chuki just means that you've got a 91-94 model... with the "shark" nose. This is an S13 chassis (89-94). 89-90 were known as "pig nose". Pig nose have SOHC engines @ 145 hp, while Chuki models have DOCH engines at 155 hp. "Zenki" is a term for the 95-96 model 240sx. It sits on an "S14" chassis. In 97, the looks were redesigned to what they call "Kouki", but its still the same chassis. All 240sxs from 91-98 used the same DOHC KA24DE engine in this country. All were rated at the same HP.

2. Entirely up to your mechanical abilities. Chances are, if you can change a wheel/tire, you should be able to change an intake. Its mostly hose clamps.

3. check http://www.240sxtech.com http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id ... 386224pick your poison.

4. Probably illegal, but it varies from state to state, also varies on if they enforce it or not.

Nooblet question

I've come across someone selling a ca18det, with a spunbearing and he's selling it for 200 with the harness already wired up for an s13, im considering picking it up and obv. rebuilding it. however it does not come with the turbo, or transmission. Its the engine, ecu, wiring, and maf

my question is, in order to drop it in all i really need to do is rebuild, get IC, piping, turbo and such right? and i'd like to use my ka's transmission so i would also need a CA bell housing?

I'm pretty sure that's all you'd need. Just remember to extend your budget for fluids and other miscellaneous stuff that goes wrong. If you want to be sure that's all you'll need, head over to the CA18DET forums and check the FAQ.

I thought this was the best place to ask because I didn't want to make a new thread. I've been looking for a certain 240sx. It is a s14.5 painted gold with like a green sheek. Has a veilside front bumper and was in the magazine S3.

Hi. I posted this same thing on another 240sx forum, but i want to get as many answers as i can. This is a cut and paste.

Hi all. : ) I just bought a 1990 240sx automatic. I have a couple questions. They may sound stupid, but I am a girl who doesn't know that much about cars. Please don't flame me! lol. I don't have any pics to post yet either.

I have been looking up pictures and it seems like a lot of the 1990 240sx's don't have spoilers. Mine does. Why is that? Is my car a Zenki? What is the difference between a fastback and a coupe? Are there any books on classic 240s?

I want to learn all about my car. I believe it is a pignose and I love the look of it. I bought this car because I had one for a few weeks a long time ago and loved it. It is a fun car that looks cool and I just love those flip headlights! It is my little Batmobile!

I appreciate any answers I get. I will probably have more questions later and definately will be posting pictures! : )

I thought they were Zenki... not that it really matters, everyone just calls it the pignose anyway.

Timeline- Zenki, Chuki, Zenki, Kouki
