To be 100% honest, I know nothing about how to tune a vehicle. That was the one thing I tried to figure out from reading and completely confused myself. (I'm sure it's easier to learn hands-on) This is the reason I'm going with a rom tune from jimwolftechnology.com . The price, isn't too great either. IMO you can do much better than that with 3000. That kit doesn't include an FMIC or a BOV. I recommend you get ahold of the guys over at cip motorsports and tell them your budget and ask their advice. I spent hours exchanging emails with John before I finally decided on the setup I'm going to run. THEY'RE ALSO A NICO SPONSOR!! http://240sxmotoring.com They have a contact us page with numerous ways to contact them including AIM and Email.Dire91 wrote:http://www.vividracing.com/cat....htmlThat's a link to the Greddy Kit. Yea I've been reading up in that forum a lot and my friend has some turbo experience with an SR. I meant tuning with the emanage it comes with, it says its pretuned for 6-8psi.
You'll need an OBDII ecu... 95+JDM Sil4ty wrote:alright so my s14 had an auto to manual swap, b4 i owned it ..

1) Valve cover gasket: Unless for some reason, it looks as if it's falling apart, I'd reuse the stock one. Then again, if you still have a KA24, you can pick up a new one from your local parts store so wouldn't hurt. With my SR, I took my valve cover off 3 times trying to get the timing right. I reused my stock valve cover since I really didn't have time to order a new one. It worked fine.troskinatior wrote:ok so these questions are kinda dumb but whateveri want to paint my valve cover but someone told me i have to get a gasket, it that true. also my clutch petal is really high, does that mean the cluch is going bad. and the last question is where would the locking lugnut key be?
for some reason one of my lugnuts is smaller and looks diffrent then the other three and when you try to turn it with the tire iron it doesnt budgePyR0NiAk wrote:

3) Locking lugnut?? I have no idea what you are talking about.
Dire91 wrote:The stock lug nuts on a 240sx are tiny, I need long ones to better hold my new 350z track rims. Anybody have any idea where I should start?
No, that is not possible. The RB is an inline 6 and the SR/KA are inline 4 cylinders.skylet414 wrote:
for the sr engine, would it be possible to use a rb head with the sr block?, and wat would be the result of this? also visvera a rb block with a sr head? this was just in my head so i wanted to know thanks.
Nope, just drain what is in the radiator from the radiator drain plug, then fill it back up with water, start it up and let it run for a minute, and then drain it all back out and fill it with 50/50 coolant/water mix.troskinatior wrote:first coolant change, i was wondering if it is nessisarey to remove cliyder drain plug in the prosses
I don't believe in this. Water freezes and expands in all directions. Though it does aid in freezing if coolant isn't there, but freeze plugs should be called sand plugs IMO. They are use to plug the holes used for getting the sand out of the head from the casting process. They can help in freezing, but the reason they are their is for the casting process.PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:What plug are you talking about? Is it the freeze plug(s)? If so, those act like fuses if for some reason your coolant/water were to freeze in your block, it would blow those out instead of cracking your block.
Its not horrible, but I got my loaded calipers rebuilt from a local auto parts store for $93 each plus core... I just returned the stock front calipers in the boxes and got my core charge back.DRIFTKNIGHT_240 wrote:i want an opinion on this:
