It won't hurt anything that I can think of... but why?naVan wrote:can a carb and choke cleaner be sprayed in turbo inlet ?
Be aware you should disconnect any piping on it so as to not damage a mass airflow sensor.

like how its sprayed into a throttle body (intake plenum) to eat heavy dirt and gum out.similarly i am hoping it will work in the turbo ! correct me if i am wrong please.PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:

Don't do it while its running... you need to disconnect the big pipes going into and coming out of your turbo... these are the air hoses. If you don't disconnect them, you'll booger up your mass airflow sensor as well as your intercooler, and eventually all the s*** that you cleaned off your turbo will make its way to the blow off valve and throttle body...naVan wrote:

i dont want to open the whole assembly, suggest me some good aerosol product made for this purpose or i can use any other stuff like brake cleaner or carb cleaner (while the engine is running)
what lines i need to disconnect before doing so !
You could try http://www.cheapturbolines.com or check out some of the NICO sponsors.TroubleBound wrote:Took this pic from the tech article on installing oil pressure sending units. Mine didn't come with this little adaptor in the picture was wondering where i might source one of those so i can install mine.

That is probably the must helpful link I have ever found, Thank You!PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/240sx/Try that. You are going to have to drop your gas tank straps, and probably your fuel filler neck.

Do you need to replace the stock throttle body to run intercooler piping?
er comp means you need higher octane when running a turbo, which in my case is bad because i want it to run on pumpOutToWinPAHC wrote:I dont know, but you can use SOHC rods and pistons in a DE engine for a higher comp ratio.
Yeah, your front lower and upper timing covers wouldn't match up... you'd piss oil everywhere.. that is, if you could get it to bolt up in the first place.StylesCD wrote:higher comp means you need higher octane when running a turbo, which in my case is bad because i want it to run on pump
so you're saying id be better off purchasing a DE to turn into a DET rather than Frankenstein my E into a DET
Post this in Gen Chat Welcome to NICO by the way. I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.fridayNightHeat wrote:hey I'm new here and I guess this is where I introduce myself. I had a z32 na but i wrecked it due to some assf***s wreckless driving, so now im saving (work $ + z32 part out $) for a 240. I was just wondering how much a basic kat setup will run you, the setup and supporting mods so the car will be ready to go. This is assuming your starting with an engine in near perfect stock condition, i've already read about checking compression or rebuilding if you had too. Thanks a lot guys, i should be buying a 240 around the new year.
