Yes you should keep as many grounds as you can.jeb1517 wrote:Does the intake manifold need to be grounded? I'm trying to finish relocating my battery. The original negative terminal goes down to a bolt attached to the battery tray. On that same bolt is a ground cable going/coming to/from the bottom of the intake manifold.
I can obviously remove the original ground cable but can I also remove the cable going from the intake manifold to the battery tray?
you should be able to get a manual transmission and all other associated hardware (master cylinder, slave cylinder, pedals, lines) for about $500. Figure another $500 to have someone install it.Spanky37 wrote:So i have a 1993 240sx hatch. All gears but 1st and second have gone out in the automatic transmission. i was contemplating on selling the whole car as is, but i wanted to know how much it would cost for a used or rebuilt transmission manual preferably and the cost to install???
Make a separate thread about that.mastermindspr04 wrote:I've been having a weird issue with my headlights popping up yesterday. When I got of work and pressed the button to pop up my 90 hb the headlights would cut on but would not pop up. Almost couldn't drive home. After pressing the switch a few times they did a weird motion passenger up then down and driver side up then down and would not pop back up not at the same time. I managed to get the passenger to come up and down and had to manually do it with the moter adjustment now to get the driver side to come up. While doing that I could feel the driver side trying to catch like it was trying to work. When they are both up and I hit the head light switch and they both will pop down but once I hit the switch again only the passenger side comes up.
Sparkplugs.com man. NICO sponsor that sells OEM O2 sensors. They usually run a NICO discount too. Check the advertiser specials forum.tom1012 wrote:where does the oxygen sensor on the bottom drivers side of the block connect to? should i buy a $30 sensor off ebay?

Made a separate thread and the moderator shut me down ha ha read the sticky he directed me to give me some ideas but without a way to test for voltage won't be able to figure it out.mastermindspr04 wrote:I've been having a weird issue with my headlights popping up yesterday. I hope to get a front clip with motor, but before that I wanted to re-do my clutch/brakes/LSD/suspension. 1. My first question is will the KA clutch fit into an SR transmission? (I could be wrong but I remembered hearing that its the same somewhere...) I plan on changing the master & slave as well as clutch/Pressure Plate/TO bearing/flywheel. But If the SR will need new parts then I will limited on the KA clutch upgrade. 2. Second I wanted to re-do my brakes, just OEM for now until I get some wheels to fit larger brakes. Maybe service the brake booster? and definitely change out the brake pads and lines. (front & back)3. I would really appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction for an LSD. I have never purchased an LSD before and so far I'm hearing $800? Isn't that kind of steep...What the difference between 1 way....1.5 way...and 2 way???4. This will be my most critical stage...the Chasis/suspension. I plan on reenforcing the chasis with front and rear strutbars...(please feel free to let me know what are better parts and their prices.) Bigger sways and bushings. Will take in other suggestions for Chasis upgrade. Where can I find aftermarket tie rods, steering components, and arms?? What should I do with my rear-end?? Any suggestions on suspension??5. Wheels will also be upgraded very soon...after the LSD. I plan on putting 18's, but will settle for something smaller is needed. What offsets do u recommend if I wanted to run something with a decent lip?? I don't really want spacers if possible, but Id like the rims to flush out with the body.
Thanks
you can't reset the odometer. If you could, a lot of people would be doing it so they could sell their cars for way more money.spectral7 wrote:How do I use the trip meter in a '91? I've never used an analog trip meter before, I don't have an owners manual, and I don't dare touch it for fear of resetting the odo
so buy a multi meter.mastermindspr04 wrote:

u have to have a new bearing assembly if not morejeb1517 wrote:This is what mine look like:
My question is, should that spring seat looking thing (2nd pic) be out like that? I mean it's easy to put in but it's like kinked at one spot.
Also, in the 3rd pic, inside the circled area, you can see the rubber gasket or o-ring or whatever it is, is cut in a specific pattern. Both hubs are like that but the original ones I pulled off the car aren't like that.
Lastly, when I place the hub onto the axle/spindle(?), there isn't enough room for the axle nut washer to be placed on. BUT, If I just take the inner and outer hub seats and put them on the axle, the washer has room to fit. So I'm guessing the seats should already be placed inside the hub?
Axle nut washer that i'm talking about:
Seats:
In the last pic, you can see how the washer sits flush. If I place those seats into the hub and put the hub on, it sticks further out and the washer cant sit flush. Shouldn't the seats come pressed in anyway??
