I was looking on this forum the other day (yesterday) and was reading some threads and some were very interesting. I decided to register today ;D welcome everyone. Just wondering what's the difference between Kouki and Zenki? I don't have my 240sx (or silvia) yet, getting it soon and want to know the difference.

A true statement.. I'd like to build my cars but then again sometimes it's good to get something and then rip up.

Welcome to Nico and your at the right place to find info on 240's. I consider myself still a newbie.

Here a link that can explain everything for youhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_240SX

The main difference between the two is the front bumper style on the Zenki thats a 89 through 90 series with the pig nose also it has a ka24e single cam engine. Now the Kouki was upgraded with a ka24de (10 extra hp) dual cam engine and a smother bumper style.

I own a Zenki with a Kouki front bumper.

My best advice for you on this site is to use the search button at the top of the site. Thats what I do at least 2hours out of my day. You won't believe all the info thats in this forum.

Thanks, Answered my question , I thought it had to do with the company that produced it or something.

[/quote]There are varying levels to KA-t. You can go anywhere from a $2000 budget setup with used parts and stuff, all the way up to a $15,000 monster.

If you are looking for all new parts (obviously the engine has to be rebuilt because they don't make new KA's anymore), you are probably looking at about 5-6 grand, installed. Obviously, that figure can go way, way up.

I'm assuming you want a 1 piece driveshaft... cip motorsports (Nico Sponsor) sells them..

Ok so i just got a pignose front for my 92 240sx coupe. the problem is when i first bought it it had an aftermarket front bumper. therefore they took off the front bumper mount (the piece in front of the radiator at the top) and the front bumper support. so i cut the mount they had on it to fit the pignose BUT the bumper still doesn't look flush...

Definitely should look more flush than that.. Mine looks more flush with only 2 bolts in the top and 1 bolt on each side... Maybe you need to trim it more OR go to a junkyard and see if you can find the supports you need... It even looks like it's being pushed outward towards the sides of the car... not just down and forward... That's the part that I really don't get... Is it a pignose from a junkyard or one you purchased from a dealer of some sort?

No i got it from a 93 coupe so it should fit perfectly. i dont get it. i think im going to go get the support for it from a junkyard. the problem is i cant find a coupe only a hatch. think that support would work better or worse?

I seriously think the bumper is your issue... Pignose were 89-90... sounds like that 93 coupe had that front bumper replaced with an aftermarket one from a dealer.. Like an oem replacement... Probably opted for the pignose because it's cheaper. Also, coupe and hatch have no difference in front-ends..

Dang, really? i thought the fronts were a little different. do you think there is any way that i can cut the bumper or something? or should i just go chuki? the mount i have on it now is from an aftermarket front bumper. i just shaved that one to fit the OEM one. its the same lenght and width of the original one, but its not from the original.it came from this bumper:
