just trying to find out if these wheels on this pink hatch here:
are indeed the mustang cobra "deep dish" wheels in 17x10.5 +27 that can be found on ebay such as here
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories
thanks in advance.... and if anyone knows how/where to order these wheels NON-STAGGERED that would be perfect. i could give a damn less about stagger, and I'm not gonna pay 350 dollars for some wheels I won't use up front.
If I follow exactly what hoses you are talking about, no you should be able to snake your arm through there and push the new hose where you can get to it on the top side from the hole where you would be if you where changing the fuel pump.GaMBiTx wrote:Hi,
I'm leaking fuel somewhere, most likely one or both (two) rubber hoses that goes from fuel pump assembly to hard line...Do i need to drop the tank to get to replace those hoses?
open your trunk and lift your carpet.. you'll find a place on the right hand side... 4 bolts and 2 screws... take those out and you'll have access to all of it... the only problem is going to be putting the new hoses on... might be a lil tough to get the new hoses over the tank without dropping the tank... or AT LEAST loosening the belly straps on it to lower it someGaMBiTx wrote:Hi,

Yes, they are all the same. I'm not into KAs so I made a point to look this one up for you.. funny thing is. I used google and the first link I got took me here.Bob_Sagat wrote:Will a fuel rail and injectors from a 1998 ka24de work on a 1993 ka24de? It's the same thing right?
Well, referring to something as "the ebay intake" isn't a really good reference because there are multiple companies on ebay that sell intakes. You also didn't include which engine you have on your car.91red240 wrote:Anyone ever used the ebay intake? Any issues and is it worth it or it'll just give headaches?
your 89 doesn't have them... The way to check for airbags in most cars is to just look at the steering wheel... They usually say something about them... Also, keep in mind, an 89 model car is 20 years old. It's not going to be like a brand new car where all you do is your oil changes... A couple of people luck out like that, but not most.Pdawg wrote:Is it a bad idea to buy a 240 with high mileage if it has been treated well? Im looking at an 89 with 153k on it for $2000. I do not want to replace a bunch of stuff..
Also does anyone know when they started with airbags? do 89's have them?
are the injectors adjustable? as in, do you have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator installed? if so, turn down the fuelboett39 wrote:quick question my 240 has 740 injectors and i bought it not to long ago the car floods and dies and hardly idles i can drive it but i can just smell the gas its so bad i have an apexei neo and what not anything i can do? its a 95 240sx red top with a gt3071r turbo
Maybe I'm just tired, but I'm confused.. Are you wondering where to find a Redtop Swap, or where to find a new driveshaft and axles? If you look in the Advertiser's Marketplace (right-hand side of the page) you will find everything you need.sbdunksyo wrote:sry to jack your question but ive been searchin all over this forum for answers about needing a different driveshaft and/or axles for an s13 sr20det red top motor and transmission swap in an 89 240 hatch. im new to this site and obviously need a lil more training on how to find s*** sry lol but it would be greatly appreciated if someone could reply n direct me on where to look for the answer...or maybe just answer yourself? lol
Here is everything you need to know...mycocobean wrote:Hi there,
I'm new to cars because im just a teenager and I was wondering if there is any difference OTHER THAN THE ENGINE between the 180sx and the 240sx.
The 2871r and the 3071r definitely seem to be the top 2 picks for aftermarket turbos for nico members... 2871r is, of course, going to spool faster than the 3071r. You could always take the middle route and go gt2876rflip1 wrote:Whats up, i just have a quick question. I want to upgrade the t25 on my black top sr, something that spools real quick from my research i found that the gt2871r .86 spools quick.

Anything would be helpfull!!

And if you were to replace the rear subframe on a HICAS car with a non-HICAS rear subframe then can you take the whole HICAS system out including the reservoir in the engine bay and enverything?Thank you
several people build 300+whp 240s as a daily driver.. so yes, for the most part, they are reliable.. keep in mind, the newest 240s built in the US is a 98 model, so your car will be at least 10 years old... I, personally, have an S13 for a project and a suzuki reno as my family car... But if you are looking for a decent car for say a high school or college student to daily and just do normal upkeep... it's a perfect platform... given you don't have horrible winters where you need a FWDspilldmilk wrote:Hey I was just wondering if the 240sx is a good daily driver and if so how are the costs for maintenance?
