just trying to find out if these wheels on this pink hatch here:

are indeed the mustang cobra "deep dish" wheels in 17x10.5 +27 that can be found on ebay such as here

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

thanks in advance.... and if anyone knows how/where to order these wheels NON-STAGGERED that would be perfect. i could give a damn less about stagger, and I'm not gonna pay 350 dollars for some wheels I won't use up front.

Hi,

I'm leaking fuel somewhere, most likely one or both (two) rubber hoses that goes from fuel pump assembly to hard line...Do i need to drop the tank to get to replace those hoses?

If I follow exactly what hoses you are talking about, no you should be able to snake your arm through there and push the new hose where you can get to it on the top side from the hole where you would be if you where changing the fuel pump.

Anyone ever used the ebay intake? Any issues and is it worth it or it'll just give headaches?

Will a fuel rail and injectors from a 1998 ka24de work on a 1993 ka24de? It's the same thing right?

open your trunk and lift your carpet.. you'll find a place on the right hand side... 4 bolts and 2 screws... take those out and you'll have access to all of it... the only problem is going to be putting the new hoses on... might be a lil tough to get the new hoses over the tank without dropping the tank... or AT LEAST loosening the belly straps on it to lower it some

Yes, they are all the same. I'm not into KAs so I made a point to look this one up for you.. funny thing is. I used google and the first link I got took me here.

(if you want proof go to google and type "differences in ka24des" )

Well, referring to something as "the ebay intake" isn't a really good reference because there are multiple companies on ebay that sell intakes. You also didn't include which engine you have on your car.

RB25DET, SR20DET, KA24E, KA24DE are the most common engines I see in 240s..

Either way, If you search through this forum for the term EBAY, you'll find a lot of people have had very horrible results with ebay parts... Mostly with fitment. My recommendation is you use a NICO sponsor. You can find these at the top by highlighting "MARKETPLACE" and then clicking "Advertisers Directory" My recommendation is you go to 240sxmotoring.com They are a nico sponsor and usually have great prices, along with name-brand parts.

Is it a bad idea to buy a 240 with high mileage if it has been treated well? Im looking at an 89 with 153k on it for $2000. I do not want to replace a bunch of stuff..

Also does anyone know when they started with airbags? do 89's have them?

your 89 doesn't have them... The way to check for airbags in most cars is to just look at the steering wheel... They usually say something about them... Also, keep in mind, an 89 model car is 20 years old. It's not going to be like a brand new car where all you do is your oil changes... A couple of people luck out like that, but not most.

are the injectors adjustable? as in, do you have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator installed? if so, turn down the fuel

Maybe I'm just tired, but I'm confused.. Are you wondering where to find a Redtop Swap, or where to find a new driveshaft and axles? If you look in the Advertiser's Marketplace (right-hand side of the page) you will find everything you need.

The 2871r and the 3071r definitely seem to be the top 2 picks for aftermarket turbos for nico members... 2871r is, of course, going to spool faster than the 3071r. You could always take the middle route and go gt2876r

here is a list of every garret turbo though: http://www.turbobygarrett.com/....html

and here is a comparison sheet: http://www.turbobygarrett.com/...t.htm

153xxx isn't really high for an 89. Bounce the car on from and rear to check the struts, look underneath for rust anywhere(esp on framerails) ,look at all the bushings(squashed, broken, are rubber boots leaking/torn). Check the subframe bushings on the rear. Look at water pump to see if there is dampness on the bottom side or rusty looking spots. Check oil pan and valve covers for leaks also inside the trunk. Also check radiator for rusty looking water or leaks(top tank is very prone to breaks) . Engine wise look for clean oil,no fuel underneath the fuel rails and no strange knocking noises. Also check power steering rack and lines for leaks. These are probably the most common things needing fixes. Might include brakes too.My car had at least five of these and it was pretty clean to begin with....

Hey, I was wondering if HICAS came on all 91-93 models or just some? And if you were to replace the rear subframe on a HICAS car with a non-HICAS rear subframe then can you take the whole HICAS system out including the reservoir in the engine bay and enverything?Thank you

several people build 300+whp 240s as a daily driver.. so yes, for the most part, they are reliable.. keep in mind, the newest 240s built in the US is a 98 model, so your car will be at least 10 years old... I, personally, have an S13 for a project and a suzuki reno as my family car... But if you are looking for a decent car for say a high school or college student to daily and just do normal upkeep... it's a perfect platform... given you don't have horrible winters where you need a FWD

Is anybody from the Washington DC area? Also, how much would a full engine/transmission for a 95 240 SX cost? Assuming that there are no other 240's within 30 miles. I'm asking because there is a 95 240 in my area for $500 but it's listed as needing a new clutch and other parts. I haven't called to see exactly what parts, but I was considering replacing everything engine/transmission wise to keep it running first. Here's a link:
