Then create 10 "legitimate/contributing" posts, not a bunch of "bumps, sicks, I wants, etc".

Why do you have to have conversion lines for a front 300zx brake swap on a 240sx? Thanks guys!

IIRC, the fittings on the calipers are a different size.

So, If i'm doing the 300 swap on the front, I need the conversion lines that have the female inverted ends to fit the calipers but what are the other ends that connect to the 240 lines? Thanks.

im lookin at doing my first intake manifold and i plan on buying an isis from enjuku ( http://enjukuracing.com/isis-i...24_62 )

am i understanding i will need another part of the manifold to do this ( i plan on getting a gasket and cold pipe )

this was a quote on an earlier thread"it goes on an s14sr this the top half, the injectors goes on the bottom half"is there a bottom half for the s13 sr ? or can i just throw it on ?

just use pdm ss braided conversion lines. its basically a bolt on affair. i believe the other end is the same. the hard lines of the car you dont need to worry about. they stay the same.hope that helps

if you arent doing this till after april the 27th let me know i will do it a day or so before that.

s14 sr and s13 sr use completely different manifold. the s13 is a high port and the s14 is the low port... i think. but i doubt the manifolds are interchangable.

Im new here obviously. I just got a 97 kouki at an awesome price only problem is the auto. Does any one know of a good shop in socal for a 5 speed swap? I would do it myself but I just got the car and want to dive it as soon as I get back from Iraq. I am also considering a sr swap but am weighing the option of that or a turbo for my ka. Thanks. I searched but all of the posts but most were quite old.

Hi,

Just had a auto to manual transmission swap done on 89 s13 hatchback, do i need to change the tps or the ecu?I've read that the ecu for the auto has a leaner fuel map.

The tps part i just recently found on http://www.thenismoshop.com/ik...12850

saying that the manual and auto is different!Does anyone know if I can still use the auto one without any adverse effects? Thanks

You don't need another TPS, and I don't THINK you need an ECU... I've run an auto ECU in my manual car before, with no adverse effects.

Either 240 gen, or gen chat.

ok finally did the compression test on my KA24E

Dry Test

Test Cylinder 1 Cylinder 2 Cylinder 3 Cylinder 41 150psi 155psi 175psi 160psi2 150psi 160psi 175psi 160-158psi3 150psi 160psi 180psi 160psi4 155psi 160psi 190psi 155-160psi5 160psi 160psi 190psi 160psi6 170psi 185psi 195psi 160psi

Now this was over an hour and a half span as the engine was hot and ran for a while and had time to kool during compression test. I only had time to do a dry test because I was taking my s13 to ForceFab a 240 performance shop in dayton ohio to have them look at my frame. They serious tried talking me into looking for a bare chassis and just transfer everything over.

That blue chuki above ^^^ has a xenon lip.

panda dozer, it all depends on your budget. Also what you consider "fun." Definitely upgrade the suspension, clutch before you start doing performance mods like any kind of turbo.

Oh yeah its hard facing the fact that you have to part with your s13 but doing a little research a bare chassis doesn't cost that much.

Does anyone think these are ok numbers for a compression test for a ka24e with around 170,000 on the engine

My ka-e registered 155 on all cylinders. That seems about right iirc. The most important thing is the psi difference between the cylinders. You want them to be as close as possible.

Btw, mine has 60K on a rebuild.

We're not your b**** in here... that isn't even a newb question. You want to find pics, find them yourself, or post it in 240 gen where you'll get higher traffic and therefore more likely that some sucker will want to do that for you.

Sorry, I've had a bad couple of months.

stick with the auto ECU, it doesn't have a speed limiter

I recently bought a 240 and just finished doing all the maintenance (plugs, plug wires, fuel &air filter and o2 sensor). The car seems to be running rich though. The exhaust smells stronger than it should and at high rpm's the exhaust spits out bits of black liquid. Has anyone had this problem before?

Does the car run roughly? You might have a leaky injector or something.
