That isn't really a newb questions... check the SR forum.

and what kind of posible gas mileage?
Limiting factor is probably your MAF... look for about 250 at the wheels.Gas mileage... depends on how you drive it. Max about 30ish.

So you installed it... but it doesn't fit?

The fmic is installed but cannot seem to get the bumper to fit over the intercooler..basically just want to see how others have mounted them with the silvia conversion. The bumper cover is the one that has the scoop for the stock smic.

wow. thanks man. Is it even a short throw shifter or just a shorter shifter? didnt even seem like a short throw shifter to me. were you even able to seperate yours?
honestly? im not sure.

go onto ebay and find any generic looking "short shifter" for sale. thats most likely what youve got.

its not really that much shorter of a shift, and you may or may not have a loud tapping around like...4 or 5k rpms, iirc

i hated that shifter

get the shiftknob and boot and section-of-shifter separated though?

Assuming you have a Zenki based on your profile pic, your lowbeam is 9003/HB2 and your highbeam is 9005.

Okay now my turn for a question haha. I've searched and searched and done everything short of calling the company (which I'm skeptical of doing because they may not know for sure), and I can't find out whether the brake pads are the same for all year 240sx's or whether they're indeed different sizes for ABS/NON-ABS and 89-94 and 95-98.

If they are different from year, are the ABS/ABS pads from year to year the same size and the NON-ABS pads from year to year the same size as well? Thanks for any input.

It wiggles around a bit more violently than usual sticks, never noticed the 4-5k noise i dont take my 200k plus sohc ka up there often. I did get the boot off but never got the knob off the shifter so i just put it back in the car. Ill fix that when i get a real short shifter 1 day.

rust free shell with good glass and good doors is worth about $600. Good paint... maybe $800.

Drill/slot the seat bracket? If its only a few millis, you can make it work.

instead of safc use nistune, gives you better control over the tuning spectrum.

use a big exhaust and downpipe. the stock choke pipe is gonna be hard on the headgasket and rob you of major power.

and the longer rods can bend due to stress and age so i would recommend something about that, if you cant find cheaper alternatives, nismo makes a nice set, that wont blow your bank.

with this you can max your stock maf to i believe 240whp, and if you use the z32, dont hold me to it but 350whp. maybe more but im giving you safe conservative estimates, i dont know how well the head and the intake manifold flows so i cant give you a good estimate, but 230+ seems pretty easily plausible.

I am new to NICO and I bought a 1992 240sx hatch about 4 months ago. I bought this car thinking that I would do the SR swap but i'm wondering if I should buy another car and then do it. It looks like there is some damage, not rust, on the frame rail and I'm wondering if this is damage or it's supposed to have metal sticking out. It looks like it is all bent up, is it like this on everyones car?

Ok I have searched but I'm still confused.

I have a '95 s14 with an auto There's a guy on craigslist selling a complete 5-speed swap for an S13.

If I buy this what EXACTLY needs to be done to make it work on my s14.

I know the speed sensor is different but can I just switch it with an s14 one or do I need to swap bell housings?

What else do I have to do.Thanks in advance.

I just got my first 240sx its a 89 coupe and i love it. But im having some trouble with it and i have a few questions. First off my battery is dead the day after i bring it home no problem right? so i pull the battery from our modified race car its an optima battery and it drained that also. But im not so sure that its the alternator. because that battery runs on the race car with no alternator. Also my right brake light suddenly stopped working. I got a new bulb and nothing the blinker works the tail light works everything works but the brake light. There is no corrosion or anything. Could it possibly be a short? or a fuse? Im going to pull the alternator out tomorrow after i finish up at school. But i was wondering if anyone can bring any insight to my problem. The guy at the parts store told me it could be a "parasitic wire" or that something may be staying on when i shut off the car. The kid i bought the car from did the mod with the lights so you can make them sleepy eyed, could that maybe be part of my problem if he wired it wrong? He had no problems with the car but it had been sitting for 3 months and it had no problems when i bought it. The shell has 125k miles and the engine is a swapped ka24d from an automatic and has about 52k on it the car is very clean. Thanks for any help you can provide

Hello everyone I been having some issues with my 1990 240 ka24e. Sometime on start up the car will idle about a 1000rpm and try to die unless I give it some gas. Also the car jump in idles sometimes it goes to around 1200rpm ,1500rpm and idles back down to 1000rpm or around 750. The 240 has a custom short ram intake with a z32 maf. I also believe I have a z32 diff not to sure but my anti skid cable is cut on the diff and if I'm correct stock 240's don't have an anti skid cable. Also the gov been bypassed as well. New to 240s still lol.

I took the car to test and tune yesterday to it an idea of how it runs and get stock spec on 1/4mile. my time range around 17.5 with a .59 raction time. and I would almost redline in 3rd at 76mph. just feels like it not getting power. I used to own a 90 accord with 245000 mile on the f22 and I'd get better 1/4 time with worst reaction times.

I was wondering could we an issues with the maf or vaccum leaks. I just had the clutch and flywheel replaced and put over 800miles on with before I took it to the track.

The ka24e has roughly around 170,000 mile on the engine.
