You could just bring them a hub with all the studs coming out of it. Its a standard 5x114.3 so they should have no problem doing it.240pr06 wrote:
allright thanks for the help man, do you feel thats safe to redrill the rotors that i have now? i guess i will just wait and do that all together. also im going to take it to a shop to get them redrilled but i dont have any 5x114 rotors for them to use as a guide to know where to drill how do you think i should go about that? i know dumb questions but theres now where else to ask. again thanks for all the help
Not off the top of my head. You are kind of out of your demographic here for selling a galant, so you might want to try posting it on craigslist or autotrader or something. The odds of you finding a person in your area that wants to trade are going to be slim.hockeyjake6902 wrote:Hey guys newbie here,Im lookin to buy my first 240 and make it my baby! I've loved these cars since i saw my first one a few years back.
lookin to trade my 99 mitsubushi galant with a new transmission in it!worth about 4500 5000 dollars.
anyone know of anyone willing??
I wouldn't spend your money on anything unless it is either suspension, or turbo (or motor swap). Those are the most worthwhile upgrades.6race420L wrote:im new here! And first time 240 owner. i love the cars n stuff but what to do to her???im sick picky,... whats good?!
I'm pretty sure they did. They are just more rare than S13s.Jaykit wrote:Hey,
I have 300zx TT and have been on Nico for a while now and am looking for a 240sx for my sister something for her first car. I have been searching around a bit for the later years 95+ (s14) up here in Canada and can never find anything. This may be a very stupid question but did Nissan not ever send the s14 or kouki to Canada?
That thing in the middle of your picture is a rear differential. It is an open differential. If it were a limited slip rear differential (that originally came in the 240), you would have some horizontal cooling fins in addition to the verticle ones.dahveed wrote:a two-part question! haha, the first one is simple. i was looking underneath my s13 one day and saw this, now i'm wondering what it is, haha. the thing in the middle of the picture, next to the exhaust. sorry forthe noob question
now the second one. i'm going to buy a cheap-o ebay exhaust, and i recently was on youtube looking at videos. i saw some catless 240 action going on, and i kinda want to go that route. the ebay exhaust only comes with two pieces, right? the pipe that comes directly from the motor(downpipe? lol i have no clue what its called) and the end of the piping, am i correct? its just bolted onto the pre-existing cat? could i just head to a muffler shop and get some pipe to be made where the catalytic converter goes? or am i wrong?
They are fairly straightforward. You unbolt the stock strut/spring combo at the strut tower, and at the knuckle, and then just bolt in the coilovers. You don't have to worry about spring compressors or anything. Swapping to coilovers is easier than repairing stock suspension. You should get an alignment after you do anything suspension related (aside from a strut bar).240pr06 wrote:heydoes anyone know where i can find a how to on installing coilovers i found a video or two and searched a bit but nothing too specific. thanks
Really, you can do whatever you want. The questions you are asking are more opinionated than fact based. What would I do? I wouldn't get a 180 conversion, I think its a waste of money. And if you are familiar with the KA, go with the KA. If you want to learn the SR, or have friends with the SR that know whats up, go with the SR (or if the KA is blown).6race420L wrote:so Sr20 sounds gooood????
how bout a 180sx conversion????
You COULD get away with a stock block, but you would need a real good tune. If any little thing were to happen, you would probably blow your ring lands. You'd be better off if you got forged pistons, with a slightly lower compression ratio (maybe about 9:1). While you have everything apart, you might want to look into boring out the block and going with an oversized piston. That is pretty much all you NEED within reason. Other things to do/get are rebuild the head, maybe a mild port and polish, and get ARP headstuds (seeing as how you would need to buy new headbolts if you remove the head anyway). That setup should get you safely (along with other supporting mods like fuel pump, larger MAF, etc) into mid 300's at the wheels.poserdan365 wrote:I have a ka24e and i plan on putting the ka24de swap in around june i need to know what i need to do internally to withstand a big 16g turbo. price is not the issue but i know nuthing about machining. i live in pittsburgh if anyone lives around that area and know a good machinest let me know. i was wondering about the kyb agx struts. I plan on drift only! do i buy coilovers or agxs?
Sounds like the manual has less miles on it too. I'd get that one. You will need to buy a clutch and more if you want to swap to a manual from an automatic anyway. As long as everything else is equal, I'd go with the manual.hockeyjake6902 wrote:Ok. So i have a problem... i dont yet own a 240 and im looking into them right now. i have 2 choices either a 95 with an automatic KA24de or a 95 manual KA24de the automatic has 209000 miles on it and the manual needs a new clutch. My question is which one i should go with as a starter car.
My intentions with the car are to have a manual (obviously) and to eventually get into drifting. i would also (for now) be using the car as a DD. They are both for sale in my area for around 2000 and so money isnt a deciding factor except for the price difference in a 5spd conv. versus a new clutch.
im really stoked to get out of my mitsubishi and into one of these masterpieces people blatently refer to as... "cars."
you can email me at [email protected] comments would be greatly appreciated.
thanks guys this site is awesome.

I have never seen one. If they do, they are rare.megaderk wrote:do the S13 hatchbacks come with the power sunroofs like the coupes?or only those manual pop-up roofs?
As long as its a 240sx, you can post them in 240 gen. Otherwise, post it in the appropriate sub forum. Here:zeroforum/44Hydroz wrote:Where do i post my Project car progress and ideas for the future??
