it was like that for the wedding reception. 100% cash bar. the only free beverages were pastel yellow water (lemonade), and red water (fruit punch) . then to top it off, they had a sheriff there to make sure no one was going to their cars to drink any alcohol they might have brought. my friend's dad had a 30 on ice in his trunk, and we had another 30 on ice in our trunk. we managed to sneak one beer a piece the whole night. but we sure did raise hell back at the hotel

i couldn't help but laugh at myself over it. as i'm driving through hartford (about 20-25 minutes north of my house) i'm thinking about my last minute packing and i was hoping that i didn't forget my belt. i get to the hotel and start going through my stuff only to find that my shoes were missing. i just started laughing as i walked to the car to make the drive a half mile down the road to the mall. it was the big joke of the night. everyone who was in the know about the situation complimented my shoes every chance they got.

-man, it's hot in there huh?

-sure is

-oh, nice shoes by the way

-lol, thanks

What is this air conditioning you speak of, and why would it be in your car?

Out of the 11 cars Ive owned, not a single one has had working AC.

My grandparents have been married for 60 years. Sixty miserable, hate-filled years. My grandfather is an uber-male who is never wrong and who will argue and correct other people even if they are right. You'll say something and he'll say "NO NO NO NO NO!" and then proceed to say exactly what you just said, but in an angrier tone of voice. It's hysterical. He can't stand to be at home.

My grandmother is a born-again nagger, and nothing in the world will make her do anything other than complain. She can't stand to be anywhere other than home.

As a gift for their 60th anniversary, my Grandfather (in his infinite wisdom) decided to buy a gift for my grandmother. 6 days on an Amtrak train. Chicago to Sacramento, Sacramento to Seattle, Seattle back to Chicago.

6 days on a train. With bunk beds. He's 80, has apnea, snores like a chainsaw and can barely walk. She's almost 78, a recent cancer survivor, can't stand to be inside or to sit still for more than 10 minutes at a time, and HATES traveling.

In short, two people with 60 years of animosity between them; two people who don't sleep in the same bedroom; two people who can't stand to be in the same ROOM with each other for longer than a couple of hours are going to be in a 6'6" x 9'2" cell, on a train, for SIX DAYS.

They left yesterday at 2 pm, CST. I don't expect to see them both alive together again.

my good friend david snores like that. i like to tell people that if you stood next to a passing freight train and a giant tornado just happened to land right next to you is what he sounds like. if he passes out at my place we all force him to wake up and go across the hall into the spare room and close the door... or else nobody can sleep

LOL You're writing "objective" on your resume?

That screams kiddie jobs. You need to make your objective stated in the cover letter. And don't ID it specifically as our "objective". HAHA

Edit:Hey lol resume example:

OBJECTIVE:To get you to give me money for doing as little work as I can..

What sort of job are you looking for? You should build your resume for the job, so you can keep it short and impactful. It's more work, but it shows the employer that you actually put some thought into "selling yourself" into the role. The average recruiter looks at a resume for about 30 - 45 seconds before either putting it in the "second look" pile or putting it in the "file away" pile.

Objective is a waste of that 30 - 45 seconds, IMHO. Better to put a Cliff's Notes of your experience, education, and qualifications.
