That would be cool. I still have never met Tim. He is elusive in these parts, lol.

lol. I've got a buddy who will be helping me with it. He had a ca swapped into a hatch, works at ntb, used to work for serra honda, tameron honda and a couple of other dealerships. I'm thinking it should be a grand ole time.

I am without car, still. Sorry buddy, I would but I can only go from my apartment to class and back. On the bright side, my grades have been much better than usual. I have not bought a truck yet, but I am looking. I am really picky with used vehicles.

You can ride down with bradt and go back up in a brand new truck!

Seriously. The neighbor dude's is for sale. I can take a look at it and take some pics for you if you want. If you want pictures of anything specific, let me know and I'll be sure to get it.

Just connect it anywhere before the throttle body, and after the turbo. In the stock configuration it's RIGHT infront of the throttle body.

I think it is hooked up. I don't see any connection points on the front side not connected, unless it's hidden. I'll take some more pics to show where they're connected at.

Okay. So my wires haven't shown up yet. I'm hoping for Monday. If not, I'm making a trip to south carolina to get them back, along with my money.

Anyways, I'm trying to get everything ready so that all I have to do is plug in my wires and go. In the process, that involves running my fuel line. It's not working. The fuel pressure regulator is TOUCHING the little hose that runs to the valve cover. And it's not like it's just barely touching the little hose, it is pretty much bumpin uglies with it and it's impossible to install the fuel line. I even loosened up the fuel rail, and was able to attach the fuel line, but now I can't tighten down the fuel rail at all. Does anyone have any pictures of how they did it?

due to circumstances beyond my control, I have to let go of the car. Any takers?

Car will come with full exhaust and full interior, minus rear seats/trim and trunk trim. As noted in this thread, under dash harness has been replaced and so has the body harness. I am still waiting on my wiring harness to come back from Carl, but I have a feeling I may have to go get it...

Motor has a type a adjustable fuel pressure regulator and has an inline fuel pressure gauge installed. The car does have a minor cut in the floor I found when I pulled the carpet. Can be easily welded, I just don't have a welder.

I'm going to set the price at 2,000 obo. Once the engine harness gets in, all the car will require is new tires on the rear, the exhaust welded and hung and potentially new brakes.

Parents are splitting and I won't have a place to keep it while it's not running. If it ran, it wouldn't be a big deal, as I could just park it in front of the apartment I'll be getting. Plus, I swear in to the reserves this Friday, and my ship date is March 15.

Like I said, if I could make it run, no big deal. But Carl STILL has my wires and is not returning my emails or instant messages.

There's a thread about it in the RB forum. I've posted in there. Heck, Greg himself has posted in there and told Carl to get his crap straightened out. He replied back to me today saying that he'll be shipping my wires to me tomorrow and he'll send me the tracking number via AIM and e-mail. If I can get it started and running right, I'm back on track. Otherwise, I have to sell it.

Got a tracking number from Carl. Number works, package weight is around 7 pounds. Should be here by Friday. I won't be able to install until around Sunday or Monday.

Looks like it's back on track

so I need a lower harness. Anybody have one they want to sell me?

My upper harness is wired beautifully, I just need the lower harness to tie it all together. Also have all of my vacuum lines and hose plugged in. If I can just get that lower harness, everything will be awesome!

Any S13 lower harness will work. IIRC you have to enlarge the hole for the alternator and that's it. Hit up the classifieds.

I've read that the s13 and s14 lower harnesses are different? Or will it not matter, seeing as how I'm using the ca?

Sorry, I meant chassis specific. You do need to get an S14 lower harness. I used the one for my KA and IIRC all I had to do was swap some of the S14 gear sensors/backup switch over, the speed sensor needs swapped over, and drill out the hole for the alternator ring terminal.

I'd hit up a junkyard, or a partout in the classifieds and just get all of the sensors and the harness.

After I get tired of my s13 chassis I'll be there with you guys. I've been wanting to put my CA into a s14 chassis since day one. Or a mx5 chassis!

PS-dude don't give up! You're almost there you could taste it. Good luck bro

I had talked to you about it before and you had told me to e-mail you when I was ready to send them. I just hit reply from the e-mails exchanged about a month earlier. I shot one off, but never received a reply. It's no biggie for me; I wasn't trying to make you look bad or anything if that's what you thought.

Subject: Re: RE: Southernsteel from nico. A few questions for you. From: [email protected]: [email protected]

IF you manage to score a brand new CA harness and brand new KA harness, then ill do it for 250. But only if they're both new. The CA is harder to put into an s14 than an s13 sr is....Taylor Durdan

was the last thing you sent me

Maybe it didn't go through? I'm not even sure. I'm currently in the process of hooking everything up and it looks like a plug may be missing or some garbage. Just more headaches.

As for an update, I'm slowly but surely putting the interior back together. I re-installed the headliner and upper trim today. Next up is getting the wires tucked along the firewall correctly. Then I can put the carpet back in and reinstall the dash.

OH! Turns out the part that was ordered from Sean wasn't the correct one, but it was one I needed. Go figure. I got the correct part on order and it should be at their shop in a few days. Too bad I don't get paid till the Thursday after this one.

quick question about maf plugs...

can I use any maf plug as long as it's pinned right? Or do I need to buy the proper plug? My plug was missing on the harness and I'm not sure it's there on the original that came with the car. I'll post up a picture of something else I'm not sure about, seeing as how it looks like it's in an important place.

Or a sohc maf and plug.

I'm having ignition and fuel problems.

First off, no fuel. Fuel pump isn't priming and there's no pressure, as confirmed by my gauge.

Ignition. No clicking at all from the starter. The only way the motor will turn over is by hitting the solenoid, but car will not start due to no fuel.

How can I make the car turn key ignition and what could be the cause of my fuel issue?

Okay. ECU is not getting power. Which is really frustrating. Headlights work, hi and low beam. No taillights, no hazards, no turn signals. Motor has been grounded to the chassis. Grounds on intake manifold have been done. Lower transmission is all hooked up.If any members in the Bham area would like to take a look, I'd appreciate it. I've got a power issue somewhere, and I'm not sure where to even begin looking. It has been suggested to me to check the ignition and efi relay and to call the dealership to figure out what kind of harnesses I have for my main harness and engine bay harness. I tried to check courtesy but they were weird numbers and didn't match what I have.
