How do we all pay for our projects?

I was just wondering what kind of jobs you all have to fund your 240sx projects. I work as an apprentice mechanic at a dealership which doesn't pay as well as I'd like hence the only things done to my car is a cone filter and a five lug conversion:rolleyes

I work at a freight company loading and offloading freight. 9 bucks an hour. currently its 5pm to 930pm but soon I will be doing that shift and mornings which is 4am to about 1030am

i sold knives over the summer which didnt go too well. that helped me fund for like $1000 worth of parts... which went to my suspension, agx shocks with gc springs.

Then i tutored little kids at a school and spent most of that money on new energy suspension bushings, k&n airfilter, cd player,

Then chinese new year rolled around and i use that on exhaust and sway bars.

After that i remained unemployed and started to use my scholarship money for sway and strut bars.

I plan to get a job next spring at school to fund other things like gas.

i work at a grocery store practically full time, but I spend little monmey on my car. Most of it goes towards paintball.

im an admin assistant. but i have two cars and im supposed to be going on a trip. so........ theres not enough money. hehe

i roof houses on and off, mow businesses lawns...550 a month salary (not bad), and whatever else i can get money for doing. that's about it...

I work at a restaurant called the Patio, it's kinda like a Friday's or Applebees minus the tips because i work the register. but i just use my money for gas mostly, i save it. I'm trying to save up for the SR.

my company hangs sheetrock, accoustical ceilings, and does metal framing for commercial jobs. but most the time i ride around and make sure everyone is doing their jobs. i hardly ever work forty hours. i love my job. plus you guys that work at chick-fil-a we just did the sheetrock in dan cathy's personal house (one of truett's sons if you don't know).

I am a cashier/and just about anything else they want me to do at a local grocery store, they just cut my hours from full time to about 23hrs a week @5.75 so they would save money by not paying our med insurance. After 3yrs there and being family friends you think it would be better. So now I cant even afford to go back and finish my network admin degree let alone spend money on anything major(little things still possible). I am currently looking for a better job, of course.

I do freelance graphic and website design. I also make fonts and sell them online for a little extra cash. Money is tight, though. I miss the days when I worked at a dotcom in Cali.

I want to start an online performance store so I can hook myself and others up, but haven't got around to getting it all set up.

i work at NYMEX, good pay, but i'm also 24 and living on my own. Living right outside NYC is extremely costly. Commuting alone costs around $300 a month, plus rent $1175, utilities $300 and whatever i need like food, laundry and what not. so i'm rarely able to save up enough money for anything. My word of advise to all of you who live at home is stay there. Go to school get a decent job and live at home. Horde your money and finish your car.

Sports Authority at 9.59/hr, living at home for the summer but have my own apartment at school, so most of my mods happen during the summer when money isn't as tight. if any of yall go to sports authoritys don't give the cashiers hell we go by what we're told

I work overnight at stop and shop for 8.25/hr and macys at 7.90/hr but macys is goin slow so i only really have hours at stop n shop. and its macys reason my car project is goin so slow cuz afta X-mas they cut hrs dramatically and i only been workin at SNS for alil ova a month. thanks to SNS i jus got my intake in. saving up for exhaust and suspension not sure which one first tho

im 19, just off of school for the summer, i had been saving every last penny for the last 3 years, bought and sold a motorcycle for a profit, and sold the talon that i was also putting money into, and now it is all going towards the sr swap and some goodies for it. im not imployed but work my *** off around the house, mom doesnt like to see me sit there. hopefully one of the 12 places i have put in an app will take me.

i work at wendy's, full time, been doing 40+ hours a week for as long as ive been there, a whole 3 months now.... i make 400$ after taxes a check, 800+ a month, ive hit overtime twice so far, gonna get a good 6 hours of it next check.... and i get paid 6.75..... gettin a 25c raise in about 20 days, was promised that, i work 4-cl which is 12, get out around 12:30, im going to get a overnight job at IHOP workin about 30hours at my old pay which was 7$.... i was their best worker... i quit there and they had to hire 3 ppl to replace me.....

That's what i'm trying to do. I want to move out eventually.. But the cost is just crazy. Right now I bring home 2925/month after taxes, and my bills are about 700. Plus another 300 in gas.. Plus whatever food is. So I typically have about 1500 or so a month that isnt allocated. Moving out will take most of that remaining 1500. Or at least 1/2. I'd be poor. I see people do better than me making 1/2 what I make. So I guess my spending habits are just bad. That and Mr. Sam takes around 300/week from me.

IWannaS15, ya, dryden... I've worked here for about 1.5 years. Before here I worked for HP for a couple years.
