How do we all pay for our projects?
last year i worked for the city in the 'parks and recreation department', got paid $7.12/hr, worked 40+ hour a week. always came close to breaking the $1k mark a month. that money went towards insurance, gas, food, and fixing all the problems in my pos.
next monday i will start working at L&L's in Pasadena, CA for all you people who live in socal. BEST hawaiian food ever. chain straight from hawaii itself. hopefully i can get a grip of hours so i can help mom with bills at home, then something towards the car

Heh... the main reason I asked this is because right now it seemed like most ppl on nico have all this money to spend on their car with their engine swaps and turbo kits and what not, and then theres me who can do pretty much anything to my car if i had money yet only make 150 bucks a week part time as an apprentice at a dealership in Napa. But i guess everyone else here has no money and the little free money they have they spend on their cars. Thankfully I just heard yesterday from my boss that i am going back to full time and pretty soon i will get a decent raise since i am going to take some ASE tests, and i if i pass them i get a 50 cet raise for each!So soon you all will be hearing about the new lowering springs/ agx shocks, BRM exhaust, and 5 speed swap on my 95 240!:ylsuper

US Army, been in for a while so the pay is pretty good. My 240 is been so maintenance free for years so I havent really been pumping money into it. But my plans are to restore (if I can use that term)the car and there a lot of money going into it. Mainly stock upgrades......daily driver. How I put money into my car?? Keep the wife happy...
I'm just your friendly neighborhood Autozoner....$7.77/hour (bastards gave me a whole dime an hour raise after 6 months) It's easy, and I get a discount on parts (if they're in stock) plus a lot of the guys i work with are very knowledgeable, and one of them has his own shop and is going to do my engine rebuild really cheap soon. So it has its perks

Valet parking was the best job I ever had.Its just to easy to spend money when youre making money. And theres nothing glamorous about saving. yeah, valet parking is pretty easy, plus it keeps me in shape, only thing that sucks about the company i work for is the owner is greedy *** hell, and wastes most of his money (drinks it all if you know what i mean), he gets payed like 10-15 dollars per man hour and we only get 2.75/hour. with pretty much no chance for a raise. and he has like 5 hospitals in the state that he has contracts for.

Wow, sounds just like my boss when i use to work. His name is Joe and he dissapeared after he owed alot of people alot of money. I heard he went to florida to rip people off there. He paid us whenever he felt like it. month before he dissapeared he never paid anyone.
And yea valet was the best job i ever had.
Drove an M3 155 mph on a highway, that was sick. Poor guy. i feel for his car now. Oh and by the way thats how i learned how to drive manual, i burned a clutch on and old BMW and the guy came out and his clutch was gone, and i told him i dont know what his talking about. So this whole big fight went on, i told to talk to the manager. I guess they paid him i dont know.
Lesson learned - Never give your car to valet.
yea, but shes 9. She lives with her mom and brother and little sister up here in wash. Her mom doesn't work and her dad lives in cali and there not together anymore, but he pays for all there bills, cars, everything. My girlfriend drives a new audi a4 1.8t, her brother drives a new explorer, her mom has a g35. they have 3 houses up here. what more can u ask for

I used to valet park for a private club in Orange County when I was in college. This guy used to always show up in a nice AMG Mercedes SL500 coupe. One day I was flying around the parking lot and I smacked a dip too hard, bent the control arm or something. The next day, the guy showed up in a huge SUV and I never saw the Benz again. I felt like such an ******* for messing up such a nice car.
Since the club was a member's only club, we used to have cars for 4-5 hours at a time. We'd take turns going around the block, and time each other to see who could get the fastest lap times. It was all good fun.
These days if I have to valet park my car, I make sure to tip the guy at least $5 BEFORE he gets into the car.

Man you 20+yr olds makin like 20/hr....thats soo nice. I work at Papa Murphys pizza for 7/hr and Im 20. The job is so lame, I hate customer service, especially food service. The joke is I have lots of computer knowledge (using since 11, flashed my first BIOS at 12 lol), A+ Cert, could get N+, no time/money though. No market for my skills now or something...
