Tons of diversity here...I am a graduat student earning my Ph.D. I am currently making $0. However, I have a teaching job in a couple of weeks, about 2k a month. Not too bad.

In reply to a post requesting how we pay for our swaps etc...I have a trust fund from an accident when I was kid....I have a f-uped leg...that still works!! Thank goodness too, I need it for the gas pedal!!!

I keep holding out that maybe my grandparents have some money set aside for the grandchildren, but I doubt it. I don't think I'll ever inherit anything, so I work for an architect for $12/hr :D

...I'm still broke as all hell though...to many damned bills to pay when you're a college student living alone in a sweet appt. :pface

How bout you look for a roomate? Possibly female?

Anyway if my grandparents on my mother's side or my grandmother on my father's side had any money to give as an inheritance, it wouldnt be much by the time in got down to the grandchildren. There's 21 grandkids on my mother's side alone.

I have a gf who stays with me alot, or at least did when school was in. Unfortunatly now that schools out, she moved back home and her parents wouldn't approve of her staying with me, so she doesn't until school starts again. It's weird to have to deal with the whole parents protection thing again. I'm almost 21 and live by, and support myself. She just turned 19 and it sucks to have to go back to worrying about what time parents say she needs to be home by and crap again... thought I was finished with that crap :(

Yeah, well...it was kinda like that for me too when I moved back home after my first year of college. I think it is for alot of people when they move back into their parents house.

I don't know how you guys can afford to buy mods for your cars when you make less than half of what I make ($46K) and I can't even afford it yet. Damn I want to retire by the time I'm 50, so that takes like a quarter of my pay check and the rest goes to rent, gas, bills, and booze. I need a girlfriend who's loaded and can support my *** while I dump money in to the car! Anybody have any single sisters/mom, I'm 25 and willing to relocate! Who would want to live in Iowa anyways?

The RB savings account is growing though:pface :D

Right now I am just saving up for a 91-93 S13 hardtop. I do not work during the school year but I landed a nice internship giving about $1500 a month for 2 and a half months. However much of that money will go to covering what my parents don't pay for over the school year. I MIGHT have about $2800 saved for the 240SX when I get done with this.

I probably could get it by selling off my old 91 Civic, but I don't want to give it up (too reliable to let go just yet).
