Amazing shots Rodger!

I liked the action, but using GT cars makes it difficult to recognize whos who. But some sweet shots of me and Biggie @ Fuji as well as what you did with the lighting in Special Stage. Too bad some of the damage modeling looks like absolute poop!

Whoa hey now I wasnt getting mad at the wheel, I was just strongly disagreeing with the minus points lol. I was also ganna mention the throttle if you hadnt Ian. Its a great plus especially with TCS off and/or on crappy tires. That is one thing about this game, it seems to be pretty much all or nothing with throttle and it makes a big difference. I think GT3/4 was better at sensitivity and had a wider range. I wish I had one but cant really put it up anywhere.

Great pics as always. Some of those are really good. Sorry I missed it guys it looked really fun. I was sick as hell that day tho and just tried to sleep it off when I got home. I will be in the next race.

Which one do you prefer? I can send it to you tomorrow if you send friend requests to GT5_0002_ and GT5_0001_. I can't gift you a car from cabrita309 account tomorrow.

THANK YOU!!!

I really really do not like how the GT5 engine simulates gravel. I've spent lots of time driving real cars on gravel, and even more playing games like Dirt, Dirt 2, and a handful of different Colin McRae games. GT5 makes it feel more like driving on snow/ice, than gravel. Its almost like driving on hard pack covered with ball bearings.

In real life, dirt tires bite into gravel HARD. Once they are warmed up, it is amazing how much traction you have.

I have like 4 fast FWD cars, but they are all underweight. I wish there was a way to add balast on GT5. GT4 had the option, its strange that they ditched it.

They ditched alot of basic things, huge downfalls. Anyways, I found a car that I will just have to deal with. 255hp and 1071kg :yesnod

Update 1.06 is up and running...
New game dynamics

- Power Points System
  • Like in Forza each car is given a points rank based off it's performance.
Adding HP will increase that rank, while increasing weight will decrease it.
- Online Dealership / Seasonals
  • Online Dealership now resembles the Used Car Lot more, it carries many more cars at a time
Old style of Seasonals return with much higher payoffs. Now would be a good time to catch up PNF
- Buying Cars / Used Car Lot
  • Now cars have a check mark next to them if you already own it
My entire used car lot has been reset.
- Online Racing
  • New lobby options further describing your lobby, such as "Racing for fun", "Racing for real", "Drift" etc...
Regulations can be addressed using the Performance Points system, or the older HP and Weight style
Automatic Race Start Cycle: Sets a timer for when the following race will begin.
Online Course Editor feature allows you to select a road type and edit how many sections and it's complexity; essentially creating a random track and allowing all to race on it. So far I have not been able to select a course I created in Offline mode and bring it to Online mode.
Tuning
- Body and Chassis
  • Aerodynamics effect your PP
    Weight Adjustment and Ballast options
- Engine
  • Power Limiter allows you to tweak HP output (would of been great during the GT500 series).
- Transmission
  • Fully customizable gearing
- Tires
  • Choose which tires to equip in the tuning menus instead of "Drivers Options".

UPDATE: FF Face Off
New Restrictions:
- No race cars
  • I set the weight restrictions to a minimum of 1000kgs on purpose. I didn't want to see a cheap racing series have $200,000 cars competing. So please, if it is has decals on it or doesn't look like some thing you would see outside the race track, don't use it. Tuning manufactures are ok unless it has a lot of decals (Example Trial Celica).
- Some of the cars you shouldn't use:
  • Golf IV GTI RM '01
    Xsara Rally Car '99
    INTEGRA TYPE R Touring Car
    TRIAL CELICA SS-II (ZZT231) '03
CIVIC TYPE R (EK) RM '97
    FIT Race Car '03
Gathers Drider CIVIC Race Car '98
MUGEN MOTUL CIVIC Si Race Car '87

Dang, an hour and a half? It only took me 4 minutes :O

Anyways, the game seems to be a lot smoother now, clicking through all that stuff seems faster as well. I just want an update so they can fix the pixelation issues with smoke and weather.

well its about time for:
-Power limiter!
-customize gears independently
-Power Points/ +-hp, +- weight and ballast

New questions:
-Is this weekends race still having the weight limit of 1050 or 1000kg?
-Is there a limit to PP or is it still just 256 hp

Yes. Please no race cars!!

Not talking about the race series but in general do you guys like to slap every available mod on the car to max it or prefer cars stock or with minimum mods?
