I posted links in the first post of page 12. You want to click on the availability list. So far it looks like the 30th around 1pm (for those who enjoy long Sat nights :chuckle: ). I guess we won't be able to grab any more NICOnauts so I guess we could roll with 6, but I would like some more.

You just made me happy in my pants. I was willing to settle for 6 so 7 is a nice surprise!

sim, sign yourself up for the Ironman Hottness! The first link is the details of the race (like regulations for cars, rules for the race, etc.) and the second link is for signing up and posting what time you can race. Just click the Availability List link and fill out the info.

let me get something straight. For the last race thats totally up to a random pick from the computer right and we will have all the same exact car? And for the 3rd 502 hp limit, its the same car from 1 and 2 but we can add turbo, exhaust, whatever from our items to meet the limit?

Thats awesome qualifying is in too. So #5 means that we will be in the pit lane for 40 seconds and we will start from there for the qualify lap. Then, we start at the race grid in the order we finished the qualify lap? I think that's all correct.

2) And for the 3rd 502 hp limit, its the same car from 1 and 2 but we can add turbo, exhaust, whatever from our items to meet the limit?

1) not 100% sure. We will get cars on the same level, or we might get the same exact cars. IDK yet. I need to do some testing with other players to see how that turns out. Any one care to join me?

2) Exactly. So you have to choose a balance of car that can handle all the races well, or just concentrate on winning certain ones. For instance, the car I am using will probably not be able to compete @ Fuji, because it doesn't reach the 502hp limit. Because it is in the ~460hp range, I will concentrate on London and Chamonix.

3) Well when we enter the track, we just do practice laps until I select "race" but there is a 40 second delay in between when I select "race" and when we actually line up on the grid. As after the first person finishes the lap, I will select "Race" then every one will continue racing until the actual race begins. It is a little weird but if need be we can have a practice so every thing goes well.

1) I think I asked this already, but I get the point.

2) Gotcha on that. I am thinking of the perfect car but need a test and tune

3) uhh, I might just send u a message soon to go thru it once, maybe tonight

460 will be competitive. Unless it weighs 2500kg

Yep, been testing and tuning today. I can only get 2:20 tops on the snow rally level. So with that I assume that you guys are using Rally cars, which I am not. :nono: Thats ok, youll pay for it on the tarmac. :chuckle: (I hope). I just need to fine tune for the snow level to get in the top 3 or so for the points.

Im super excited!!

O yeah and the X1 challenge is very hard. Trying to get the carbon Fiber but thats not likely, so 2nd is calling my name. I refuse to settle for just bronze

Yeah I concluded it would be nearly impossible for me. I don't enjoy the car enough to put in the kind of work it would take for gold. After the challenge I haven't driven the car since anyway.

I haven't played GT in a few days. I need to check out the other tracks and set my car up for those. I'm not excited about London but maybe a few rounds of practice will make me like it a little more. At least it's not Madrid!
That shuffle race will be interesting.

So when are you guys going to post what cars you're using? :chuckle: :shifter:

NEVER!!! Honestly I just picked one. The hint is that I picked one that fits my psn name..

As far as the X1, its too impossible to even get bronze without a steering wheel. The first level I got 2:20 which I thought was fast but the bronze is 1:14. Then I watched the example and holy crap thats fast. I then tried the 2nd race but failed hardcore. A steering wheel is a must have for those quick and smooth movements

2pm - 3pm. Let your family and friends know the deal. Send them off to a late lunch, because I will be mopping you guys up all over the place and you don't want them to see that.

THIS^^^
Any one using a steering wheel? That is a huge advantage.

Yeah, I'm with you on that. Mine has 4 wheels and an engine.

I won't :frown:

Racing starts @ 2pm.

I will be in a lobby around 1pm messing with / finalizing settings and processes, you guys are more than welcome to join the lobby for some practice laps to get the feel for it, just ask questions, to see how the qualifying works out or anything else for that matter.

Hope to see you guys out there and hopefully no one forgets.

Sooo yeah, here's what I'm gunna do. I have 2 of the same cars, but I'm gunna use the 355 hp one for the first 2 races and the 505 hp one for the last race. Both cars will comply with race rules, it's just an issue I'm having with de-modding to meet power reqs.

You can do all the adjustments between lobbies. You don't need to use 2 different sets of the same car.

Because if I use engine mod #3 my car will not qualify for the 355hp events, but if I leave it at engine mod #2 my car won't be near the 502hp limit for Fuji. I wanted it to be like that so it made people find the best combination car that allows you be great at all the races, or only choose to be amazing at 2 events. I wanted driver strategy to be a part of it also it keeps costs down.

If we allow more than one car with different mods then it takes it away but, there is nothing I can do to stop you guys from playing it that way. I wouldn't be able to tell to difference.

So let me know guys if this is something you guys are cool with because if so I am off to mod another version of my car.

I think thats exactly what PNF was saying. He probly bought a stage 3 engine or weight reduction.

Yes RCA i did notice that. I think you did a great job at setting up the whole thing with the levels and limitations. I will drag a** on rally but I think Im top notch for the other road races. London will be a hard passing level, I just need to be in the top 4 qualifying positions. I will be at 354hp and 499 controlable hp :naughty:

See you guys at 2. DONT FORGET! Then Tthe ProBowl after the race

Oh and I forgot to ask, would that be allowed, to have 2 of the same car? I vote for 1 and only 1
