We'll go with 1. I can mod it before the last race.

Lol, what was happening there? The walls came up fast huh.
Sorry ThatGuy your internets were cutting in and out, You coulda won 2nd and a conselation prize.

A for me, Victory tastes dam good, but a close 2nd was right behind me. Ill take this trophy and the Judd as promised. Hope for a better, fuller run next time.

RCA you should try and set something up from GTplanet or something.

It's cool! I think if more people prepared for the series it could of been crazy close. Biggie managed a last place, and 4th place finish while winging it! He came in 3rd!

Yeah ThatGuy was pressing for a 2nd place overall run, he would of had to fight off Biggie but it was possible. I didn't practice Sarthe so I was destined for a last place finish.

Congrats alms! You are most well rounded driver in all of the NICOs! His prize?

Had tons of fun on Sunday and hopefully we can have a better turn out next time. Also I am sending you all gifts that might be useful in the next Ironman competition! :chuckle:

That stinks! The times you posted in pg 12 would of been 1st place worthy. My best lap was like 2:13 or so. We should be doing these regularly so be ready next time! :shifter:

Right now I am in the process of taking pictures from the event. I just finished Chamonix. The battle for 3rd, 4th and 5th was fun to snap pictures at. The photos should be up soon (2 or 3 days).

Yeah, could have helped if I had practiced and took the time to understand that we were doing the same car for the first 3 races. With the Lancia I was stuck on 340hp for the first 2 races and 422hp for the 3rd.

I was airborne about 4-5 times in the snow, that one turn I kept cutting too much and it was a big snow bank that I couldn't see.

The only thing that sounds close is when I false started off the grid and you drove between me and Alms...
Tried looking for what you posted but no go. Any one else know at what lap this happens?

Yeah I was getting 2:10 after I got my suspension sorted out. I was hoping it would be my one glorious moment.
I did a 13 mile trail run Saturday. I've been relaxing for the last 4 weeks so it really zapped me the next day.

Yes! Really great pics you got there. I think it was the very 1st lap where me and RCA hit the wall in London. In the snow level its hard to see where the ridge cuts in, I had a leap of faith in the 1st lap as you saw in the pics. I saw that time portal too, wtf?

I think I was exactly right with my prediction. I would suck at snow but pull ahead in the tarmac rounds. I hope this goes to show everyone to PRACTICE and that specs and knowing the course make all the differences, not just hp, especially on turny courses.

Soo, when's the next race?

And by suck at snow, he meant he got 2nd place :squint:

I knew Fuji wasn't my best track and I suck at Sarthe so I didn't even try to pratice... It was my down fall by 2 points :argh
Good times though!

Currently I am working on 2nd series for NICO; no snow or gravel but just tarmac with tight restrictions so it's more about driver and less about cars. I will keep you guys posted.

So my plans are to have a race twice a month; every 2 weeks on Sunday. So we will have a race on the 13th and 27th of February.

I would be interested in a longer race at 1 track with tight car restrictions if you ever want to set one of those up. Something with a duration of an hour like 10 laps of Nurburgring or 30+ laps of a shorter track.

Here is a hypothetical.

You might slip up and spin out on on lap 3 and now you're the back of the pack. All the cars are competitively even and now you are racing for an hour and your only shot is for someone else to make a mistake. Makes for a frustrating 60mins.

I like the dynamic of 10min laps it's short and sweet, if you didn't do well in the beginning you don't have to wait too long to get another shot during the next race, plus (for me anyway) I have track ADD. I can't endlessly race the same track over and over and over again. Also during our 10min races in the 1st Ironman series, by lap 3 out of 7 people already had some distance between each other. Image an hour long event.

BUT. if you guys want something like that, create it, discuss it and see who want's to do it.

Issue right now is no way I can do anything this weekend, Superbowl is taking over.

Also we should realize that lining up and running before the race is not qualifing. There may be a way to set up qualifing though, I haven't looked.

Superbowl is @ 6:30pm?

But I can understand if you guys have heading to friends/families house for the game... Might as well.

Ok, so when you guys "sign up" make sure to put a date in there.
