Dam Biggie thats just terrible. Its happened to me on other games back in the day. How far were you in?

I was thinking about buying a $20 mil car or a Ferrari F1. I have $10 mil right now and those seasonal events add up quick. Sometimes I buy rare cars from the used car lot.. Ill see what I have.

Matte any color rules.

I got the 24hr Sarthe on bspec finished. Barely to level 36 now. Got the GT-One Race Car.

I have about $13M, but no clue what to buy, have about 150 cars already.

The McLaren F1 is pretty nice if you don't have one already.

Ferrari 430 Scuderia?
I have one tuned and modded at about 580hp and it's one of my favorite cars.
The 458 is also nice.

I have the Mclaren F1 racecar. its good although a little slippery, top speed of ~200 w/ mid turbo. The 458 is great too. Its fast and easy to control. Wow, what car is 280mph?

Sidenotes:
-still looking for the R92CP. still havent even seen it in a lot
-I might buy the Audi R10. I know you win it but its the last 24 hr race.. cant wait
-The Indy 500 enduro gave me around 280,000 exp with the F1 car. Sounds like alot because the first enduro gave something super crappy in $ and exp. The X1 would probly increase this exp by close to double.

Nice to join us Mr Sparkle

X2010 is the 280mph on Sarthe (top speed according to gears is 317).
I got the R92CP, believe online dealership a few weeks ago, but may have been the regular used dealership.

Have done a few of the Racing Modification cars (S15, Elise, Charger, ZR1), probably will do a NSX as well.

Oh, I thought it was more than that?? Maybe adjusting downforce will help it go faster?

I saw the R89CP when it was at the online dealer but I dont think I had enough $$, still never seen the 92. Also I guess I would take the Sauber MB too but I think I want the R10 most of all. So indecisive.

There's really not enough room to get the X2010 to top speed, most I've seen only got it to around 307-309. Doesn't allow you to adjust the gears.

Yeah but look at the X1's down force...

Default is 90 and it goes to 200 in the rear while the front is 60 default with a max of 150. I don't know what that thing would be like with DF maxed out...

Ooooooo, extra tight handling. What are brakes?

What about Sarthe with no chicanes?

Steps to Duping:
1 - Create 2nd account
2 - Finish all Seasonal Events (~5million)
3 - Save game and back it up.
4 - Buy anything outside of Historical Cars or Ferrari F1s
5 - Spend as much as possible on it. (Oil change, mods, tires, engine / chassis rebuild)
6 - Send to main account.
7 - Load the backup save.

Now your 2nd account still has ~5million but your main account has a special gift!
Now with your main account you follow steps 3-7 and send it to your secondary account. Continue the pattern daily if you like. Hopefully in your main account you have more than 5 million so this way you can buy the really expensive cars. You don't need the second account, you could use a reliable buddy, but with the second account it is much more convenient. I made 2 backup accounts just for GT5.

No idea what it's using for brakes but it is INSANE. You can go from 200mph to 0 in what feels like ~2 seconds. The car would be impossible to drive in real life because you would be undergoing 6+ Gs while braking and turning. You would pass out as if you were in a fighter jet.

Finally discovered you can only have 100 favorites, had to clear some out.

Did the Bonus Race 5 seasonals. Can't believe I spent 600k+ on a '42 VW. And the 5 race was a little tougher than some of the others have been, granted I used the IS-F concept RC instead of an actual touring car.

May try to do some Aspec Endurance races this weekend.

I would give it a shot if the time works out and there's room. I'm not that great of a driver but I try to be as clean as possible.

I didn't because I want us all to be able to compete. So we need to discuss when the racing will begin.

All and any cars as long as the fall into the power and tire requirements discussed in the "more details" link.
The more the merrier. I'm not the best and I won't be using the best car and I don't plan on winning it all. But I will concentrate on one of the races and become as good as possible so I can take at least 8 points (2nd) and then hope to get lucky by placing in the top three some where else and I might just make it. Basically you have nothing to lose.

I am trying to come up with a prize, because I am a sponsoring this event so any suggestions?

Let's all put up a car like an entrance fee. We send the cars to the winner after the races.

Thanks for the X1. If you turn the downforce all the way down, it gets up to about 300 or close to it. The difference in turning from min and max downforce is 0.

Dammit. I really want to compete but I really need to do some school work this weekend. Please give us more details about a set date and time so that we can all play and so we all have time to set up cars. Agreed that there should be a buy in, nothing too expensive, 50,000-250,000 or something. Also what do you mean random cars to be chosen in race 4?

I'm in!!

When you go to Garage when you're online or playing in a private lobby, there's a list of pre-selected cars. I believe it means a random car will be chosen from there and we all have to select the same car for that race. Looking forward to it!

No problem.

I want every one to be available so every one should post up when they can spare 1 hour so we can get our boogy on! I don't want to make an official date, I want us to come up with a date so most of us can show up.

Well purchasing a car and modding it is expensive enough, that is why I supplemented relatively low HP limits so every one can afford a car for the race. When doing online races you can't do a "buy-in" so that won't work. The final winner should win a car.

I am thinking Audi R10 TDI Race Car '06?

The shuffle race works like this...
- I select shuffle mode on.
- When I start the races, a random car is given to you for the race.
- They choose the cars based on lvl.
- So I might get a Prelude, some one else would get maybe an FTO, etc (all lvl 1 cars).
- The last race will be about how you adapt to different racing conditions with out any preparations.

Hmm, I might of misunderstood you so...

First 3 races will be your own car so make sure to prepare one and buy snow, hard and medium racing tires for it.

The last race will be setup so GT5 selects a car for you based on lvl.
Also it might rain, and you will drive in day and night conditions so be on your game.
