Got the housing clocked, just need to rotate the CHRA a few degrees counter clockwise for the inside oil feel flange bolt to clear the manifold (be able to put it in lol) since these are not internal threaded CHRA's (no direct -AN fittings)

other than that, just ordered a 95 TT harness, 1pc drive shaft, and rameyz idler pulley studs. I will be ripping the oil pan back off to shave a little more for crank clearance on the oil scraper spacer. So maybe this time ill actually take pics of the scraper installed

All that's left is radiator, fuel/oil/coolant lines before its drivable..and my 3 week backordered clutch lol. Whenever my car body actually comes back ill do a lot of test fitting everything and then running the fuel lines and such. Currently the oil filter tree is soaking (de-greaser), and i will clean it/paint it gold (and the oil pump will get re-painted since i like it. just without bubbles and i won't peel it off lol)

Nice Gino, glad it's gonna be done soon. I know you've mentioned it before and I'm too lazy to go back and search, what kind of turbo are those? They're huge.

please make a video of you trying to wrestle that into the car just so I can recall the pain of having to do it myself. :D

apparently 4 months and counting. Some how after taking s*** apart the second time- they seized 3 lugs on the PS, shattered the key, and now need to drill the studs out, replace the studs, and a new set of lug nuts...and drill out the steering knuckle for the heim joint stud. so yea...i'm losing patience with that...anyways, here are the new pics: my clutch should be here soon, mishimoto rad, oil lines/fuel lines being ordered tomorrow, all i need is the damn car body back now so i can check the turbo clocking, make the wastegate actuator brackets, and then get the exhaust made and IC piping.

ill put up more pics as stuff happens..hopefully the car is back this week..

well I know it's been a while, the car is FINALLY back!! While it was out I got a spacer for the turbo (my buddy had to mill a t25 flange down to 1/8" and I had to drill the holes out...PITA stainless steel!), so now the drivers side turbo fits also! Other than that, it's just been the waiting game. I didn't/couldn't order anything else without the car being here as all that's really left is fuel lines and s***. So i'll just post up everything since last time. The majority of my fuel system should be here tuesday (36 feet of -8an braided line and about 30 fittings lol), my FPR will be here later in the week (being drop shipped from the manufacturer), as well as a twin fuel pump controller, oil lines for the turbos, waste gate rod extensions, and other small stuff. Anyways, here's what's happened since the last update:

and now the good stuff:she's finally back!

The steering shaft is custom from the shaft adapter (round thing at the top) to the knuckle.

Custom made sleeve and then using heim joints for the rod ends. Feels very nice (with the motor out obviously lol, but shouldn't be to bad with it in). Tomorrow I will be working on shaving the engine bay and some other small stuff. Expect some more pics tuesday.

The spec clutch is still on backorder and is being very vague about the reasons, so I am canceling that and getting an HKS triple disc instead, so I should have that soon. I also made my decision about the exhaust, it will not be a side exit exhaust with dual tips (per side), somewhat like the Cobra R. The rear of the car will get a custom diffuser that I will lay in fiberglass. Things should be coming along very quickly now!

wow..nice fab work gino. mad props bro. What's the deal with your steering rack again? I don't remember what you were doing with it sorry. (non PS rack maybe?, custom rack for clearance?)

edit-(yep BDE mounts: answered my own question)

thanks man, and yes it was putting a non-powered rack in, rather than just running with no pump. The manual rack has the gearing set up to run without power so it will be easier (and safer) than just running with the power steering not hooked up on the OEM rack. As it is it feels real nice, but of course thats minus 800lbs hanging over and around the crossmember lol, but i've driven with the OE rack un-powered, it's not bad, and this rack will make it easier. and yea, those are BDE mounts, Brett makes amazing products, big props to him.

today is the fun day. gonna be putting the coil overs in and working on shaving the engine bay then painting that and my wheels (again). Once my fuel lines/fittings are here i'll be doing a lot of work on the fuel pump bracket lol that will also be fun, so expect some good pics this coming week when i have time!

don't mind the gold oil pump. I painted it just to see what it would look like and ended up wiping half of it off. It's not visible once the front of the motor is assembled anyways.

Just for reference for the heads, this is what stock heads look like:

once i get the new head washers I'll start mocking everything up
f*** it gino bling bling the b****. lol might as well.

haha thanks guys. my fuel lines and everything came in today, i'm working on modifying the fuel pump hanger assembly for the dual pumps. I will be bulk-heading the top and running the braided nylon line right from the tank to the fuel rails. It will be a pretty slick part when it's all done.

That was about 38 feet of -8 braided nylon hose, and close to 30 fittings, not to mention the turbo coolant barbs, pressure ports (will be drilling/tapping the turbo housing so I don't need to put barbs on the intercooler pipes for the boost controller), and 2" wastegate rod extensions.

here is the coolant set up for my turbos, banjo bolts/hose barb! much easier than the stock set ups. Will be running the -6 braided nylon lines to the coolant pipes.

i need to order a new lug key, because mine is stripped, before I can toss the rear coils on (the fronts are on). I will be running fuel lines this week and dropping the motor in making sure everything is cocked properly. I now have an HKS triple disc on the way instead of the spec triple. Things are happening quick! Will also be ordering all the suspension adjustable bits this week. Once everything is in and fitment is perfect I will be doing the intercooler piping, then getting the exhaust made!

Not a major update, but a very important one..I finished doing the fittings on the fuel pump hanger. Since I am running two stock fuel pumps (higher flow than Walbro 255's..each stock pump can support ~700hp), i decided to modify the entire fuel system from the pumps up. You can see the plans from the pictures above, here is how it turned out...

These little guys are -6an 90º bulkhead fittings

on the top side we have the -6an female to -8an male expanders

for inside the tank we have the -6an to 5/16" barb fitting (the feed hose from the pumps is 5/16")

So other than a short 3-4" section of 5/16" hose, the entire fuel system will be -8an nylon braided line.

Next up is figuring where to mount both pumps so that I can still fit the assembly back into the tank lol. The stock pumps are considerably bigger than Walbro 255 pumps, so space is an issue (like everything else with these cars). Depending where I mount the pumps will determine which two fittings are the feeds and which one is the return. At this point it doesn't really matter, any combination will be made to work lol. Very soon I will be finishing the assembly of the motor (water pump, cams, timing belt, etc) and dropping the motor to make sure there are no clearance issues and the turbos are clocked correctly. The motor will probably go in and out a few times just to do small tweaks here and there, but it will be worth the trouble. More pics as more progress is made soon!

sick s***!

curious as to how you're going to get 2 stock pumps in there with a pickup and get it all to slide down heh... might take some trial and error

I know 1 can be enough of a pain in the a**.

yea thats what I have to figure out lol. BUT since half the brackets and other s*** are gone, it could be a little easier without as much to get hung up on. I just need to either get it so they're centered (the biggest point in the circle) or off-set enough that I can slide one in then the other. Ill figure it out though, it's been done lol

they're going ot have to sit one ontop of the other and staggered slightly... probably going to have to modify the pickup so it's not as long. Who has done it already?

sweet can't wait to see videos of that monster.

Little off topic, but what method do you use for cutting -an line? Tape+cutters or angle grinder?

I got nylon braided line not stainless, so I can get away with tape and a razor blade lol. For SS lines I would use tape and a small metal blade hacksaw.

For a surge system, I would use SS lines for the high pressure line.

(ingore the carburetor title, it's the basic step up for a fuel surge system, stock fuel pump feeds the surge tank, and a external high pressure pump feeds the hungry engine, quite ingenious system actually.)( I figure you are trying to preserve your truck space anyways)

And those nylon lines are.. just..

the nylon hose temp range is -40F to +302F with a 350psi max pressure rating.

i think this might work for the pumps I'll make a hard line for the return assembly to mount somewhere out of the way of everything

they both sit within the edge of the top so it might be able to be finagled in lol

:\ might get a bit warm right next to the turbine housing like that... I'd be wary of it melting... those annoying stock coolant lines are hard line until they get away from the turbo's for the same reason...

Those pump pics you posted, that is someone else's setup? I see one with 1 barb and one with 3 lol.
