dumb reasons to get pulled over/ticketed!

Alright, my friend got pulled over today for "Down shifting too hard." Im not really sure what that means, and I dont really care. haha. But that made me think, I wonder what other ridiculous reasons people have gotten pulled over or gotten tickets for. So lets hear them!!

When I had smoked taillights i was pulled for the cop not able to see my lights. Mind you his was on my a** in a Dodge ram.Apparently your lights need to be visible from 1000ft away? I asked myself, "do you really need that kinda distance to stop?" You gotta be going pretty fast to need that kind of distance.

Wife got pulled over on base 2 nights ago for running 5mph under the speed limit.

I've also been pulled over in Kentucky for "burning rubber for a mile." No joke, the ticket literally said that. Keep in mind. I was in like a 92 Pontiac Grand Am. The tires barked as I took off from a stop going up-hill. I was 16 and had just learned to drive a 5 speed.

i was taken to jail for looking at a cop. he told me not to even look at him, i looked away. he walked in my line of vision and became the angriest little cop i had ever seen and proceded to slam me onto the hood of his car. btw happened in front of my family, he tried to take my mom to jail too. case was dropped due to "insufficent" evidence

Yesterday i paid $87 for a blown taillight that i FIXED and didn't bring proper proof of, i tried to get the officer to sign the ticket and verify the repair but he wouldn't. And i was on probation with DMV so now i lose my license for 90 days. So yeah $87 fine+90 day suspension for a tailight. Recieved no other tickets when i was pulled.

damn jeff i would have killed that a$$hole, i got 4 cop cars in my effing drive way for driving my sport bike on a side walk. i got a ticket because they said quote" i could have been looking for a fast way to get away from a robbery" mind you i was not wearing anything but jeans a riding jacket and a helmet -_-. the judge said "this doesnt seem serious, dissmissed" lmao

Cool thread... I have a few of these, lol.

1. In HS I got pulled over for having clear tail lights on my camry. Not because they were clear, but because they lit up "pink" and not red. The cop said that "maybe the previous owner put the wrong colored bulb in there, a pink one instead of red." He was dead serious. He didn't even get that the lights were aftermarket. He let me go.

2. I got pulled over in my solara and the cop said "Sir, do you know it is illegal to have a strobe light on your car in Michigan?" I told him I could not understand why anyone would have a strobe light on their car. I had been backed into and my bumper was cracked right above the license plate. My LED plate bulb had been damaged, and not all of the LEDs were lighting up... causing a very slight flicker. He let me go as well.

3. Driving "too fast" in about 1/2" of snow in my winter beater. I was going 35 in a 45 mph zone. I explained that I had new snow tires and was using caution, despite the fact that I saw no indication of the roads being slippery. She was just hoping I was drunk, since it was 3 am- was very rude to me and let me go.

4. My gf (now wife) got pulled over because I put luminics yellow bulbs in the headlights of her acura. They told her it was not illegal, but it "looked funny" and she should change them.

5. My headlight was flickering while driving home. Right as I passed a cop, it went out. I got pulled over for that, and let go. He said, "I figured while I was just sitting here doing paperwork that I might as well pull you over." After I drove away, it came back on. The plug was loose.

I have yet to be pulled over in the 240, and I am grateful for that, haha.

i got pulled over in my neighborhood by a pontiac g6 and 2 undercover cops on the street behind my house because i looked "suspicious" (im a short fat 20 year old kid that always wears black...wtf). they said i looked like i was at a common drugdeal spot and decide to pull me out of the car, search every square inch of it, pat me down twice, and then harass me for about 30 minutes saying " i know you know of some drug dealers or people that sell guns in this neighborhood, i know you do. all i need is a name kid " i repeatedly told them they have the wrong kid for this kind of info. they got pissed, and left. f***in pigs

driving home from Raleigh with my girl, noticed an suv on my a** with its high beams on; i adjusted the rear view mirror and he flicked his lights on. walks up and demands me to get out of the car. i told him f*** that what for. he pulls me out of the car and cuffs me, yells at my girl to get out of the car. now her kid is woken up, shes trying to get to him and he jumps around the car and pushes her away from the back door, restrains her and put those zip-tie? cuffs on her.

now, i've yet to be told why i've been pulled over so once i get his attention from tearing apart my car with a screaming 11 month old in the back; he says he thought i was under the influence?!?!?! apparently his headlights were bothering me more than someone who wasn't and that adjusting the mirror was a clear sign. trooper showed up and saw it all makes the ICE agent leave, then uncuffs us and we leave. his CO shows up the next day at my house with a hand written apology from the officer which i promptly ripped up without reading in his face and told him i was pressing charges. that was a year ago, still yet to go to court. f***ed up huh?

damn bro that sucks! i hope you get that f***er but to be honest it won't happen you should of kept going after him if you didn't hear back from the courts you should of went to the DA.
