Man,all of these are great (the majority anyways haha)About a month ago when the roads were still icy,I was going for a Burger King run in the middle of the day with my brother. As I was going around the corner by my house,I lost grip in my front tires and was going towards a snow bank in front of me,so I step on the gas and kick the tail out so I hopefully don't do any damage.

I spin about 270 degrees,so I have to reverse, then pull over to the side of the road.Cop comes up and asks for the typicals, then proceeds to say, "Man, I was watching you the whole time, I know you're just trying to mess around. Don't lie to me."He then looks over to my brother, after I state my case that I wasn't being a hooligan, and asks him, "Is your story any different?"My brother says no.Now, my insurance was expired, but I had a new paper on my counter in the kitchen,so that didn't do much good.I was also on my provisional and he asked, "I thought you're not supposed to drive with anyone," and there are restrictions, however family members do not apply,so I was doing nothing wrong."

In the end, he just said he was gonna call my dad and whatnot, since I'm a minor, but he's an MP and has more important things to do ( )

A few hours later, I was at band practice at a friends house, and he comes out and says there's a sticker on my window.I go outside and it's a parking violation sticker. There was a "No parking, fire lane sign," but it was across the street from me,and I park there all the time, as well as the people that live next to the house so

I quickly ripped the sticker off and parked in his driveway, then returned to practice

Back when i was in high school my buddy lived across the street from a drug dealer. I actually new the kid, he played hockey with me. Well anyway, one night after work my buddy and i went bowling. I dropped him off at home (he lived within walking distance of our work) and ran inside real quick to say hi to his parents. As i pull out of his neighbor hood i see the red and blue and pull over thinking they were going to pass me. Wrong. They thought i was coming from the drug dealer's house (guess me driving up, walking inside with my buddy for 5 min, then leaving alone didnt look to good to them). They ask for my insurance which required me to open the glove box which is where i had some cigars still in wrapping. They ask me if they are drugs, and even take them and cut them open. I guess this pissed them off cuz they then searched my car (no drugs were in there, nor in the cigars). Well after that whole 45 minute ordeal, they find my work shirt and turns out that they were friends of my boss. We end up talking for the next 20-30 minutes about cars and fish ( i worked at an aquatic/aquarium store). So basically i got pulled over for nothing, had the s*** scared out of me, then talked with the cops like old friends. Crazy (no ticket btw)

Military Police? Those guys get bored, man. I got pulled over by one for 'not signaling when turning out of the barracks parking lot. I knew I had turned on my turn signal, so instead of arguing a losing battle, I asked him to confirm that my signals were working because I was 100% sure that I had hit it. After him walking back and forth checking everything for about 5-10 minutes, he tells me to have a good night. Considering it was pouring down rain, I don't think he'll ever make up an excuse to pull over someone out of boredom again for a while. Through all of the headache that caused him, he was still amazingly polite. Gotta give the dude credit.

I got pulled over in my old 240 and got tickets for having fictitious tags, no front plate, suspended license and not wearing my seat belt. It was bulls***.

Got a $190 ticket for going 38 in a 30, But get this. The street is a 40mph zone, Except the 2 blocks that i got a ticket by the red light/speeding camera. It drops down to 30 and doesnt have signs. So mad when i got that one.

I got pulled over once while driving home for having illegal modifications and street racing. What happened was I was about a half mile from my house turning a corner when after i turn a cop pulls up behind me and hits his lights then speeds in front of me and over the loud speaker says pull over. So I did what i was told ans pull over, the cop comes to my window with a pissed off look and says for me give give my license, blah blah. So I say"may I ask as to why I have been pulled over?" The cop goes " you know dang well why you were pulled over I have seen you in this thing running up and down this road all the time running with your little buddies." At this point I was like WTF!!! so I say " um officer I think you are thinking of another car I have never raced anybody." He looks at me like i was lying. Then he says " orly so if i pop your hood then your saying this thing wont be hopped up with parts." I said " No you would not but for you to do that you would need a warrant because I dont have to open it up. But don't worry I'll open it." I get out after popping the hood and prop it open, as I do I saw the cops face go blank and him get irritated because everything is completly stock. He says he saw enough and tells me to have a nice day, then drives off. Stupidest thing i have ever been stopped for

I'm new here so I thought I'd share a quick little story with you guys.

Working at a different store in the next city due to a shortage of employees there, I timed it to show up about 15 minutes early to get a hang of the different layout. Naturally, I was rocking out like a fool to Too Short's "Shake That Monkey", old school, I know haha. Anyway, an officer ACROSS the intersection could hear my music and promptly wrote me a ticket for $81. The ticket read "disturbing the peace/noise ordinance violation". Thanks guys, I also got pulled over for doing 49 in a 30 the same night. In the same city. FM. $200 in tickets and traffic school later, worth pissing off the cop when I refused to turn the music down as he approached my window

Cheers guys,

Zach

I was just snooping around the 240 forum and saw this, looked pretty interesting, ha. In my 720 I've been pulled over four times for exhaust (and let go), I've been kicked out of two malls, one being indoor, I was kicked out of the movie theater, I've been kicked out of my own work parking lot, and I was written up at school all due to noise. I even had a muffler, hah. Loudest four banger around :D

You are dead wrong in this case. Popping your hood is not considered a search as the officer is checking for emissions compliance. You are very luck the cop did not freak out over you spouting flawed law to him.

I'd say most of us are just so angry to have to be pulled over for what seems like nothing that we tend to get a little heated and say things we shouldn't lol

Good stories guys :D

I got taken to jail for having a different 240sx's tags on my car. That sucked, but I was wrong (and really broke... hence the not getting my own tags...Then I was even more broke after bail and getting my car out of hawk)

Dumbest reason for being pulled over so far: 21 in a 20. It was a bicycle cop, he pointed at me to pull over (my Dad was taking me to school, I was driving) I started giving him lip because most speedometers are probably off by at least 1mph (different rims or tires from the factory, etc.) and he got out his pad and started writing a ticket to me. By this time my Dad piped up (he'd been keeping me calm the whole time, telling me to chill) and started yelling at him for being such a dumbass, ONE MILE PER HOUR!!!??? He screamed... I lol every time I think about it. The cop put his pad away and let us go.

My Dad rocks.

I got pulled over on the other side of the Ben Franklin Bridge coming into Phila from NJ. The cop gave me a ticket for reckless driving because I passed a dude on the left side around a round about exit with 2 lanes when he was going 15mph and I was doing 35mph. I was like I wasn't aware that exits had speed limits... lol he gave me a ticket anyway.

I don't think "nodding & obeying" has anything to do with not getting a ticket.
