Let me clarify about the xmember, it doesnt really line up well if you get one bolt in on one side but it can be made to work w/o too much effort. We started with the side that doesnt work at all [drivers side] and the threads inside the chassis are stripped at the bottom and very shallow towards the top so it will start to go in at an angle and then get too ttight to turn.

My neighbor is letting me borrow a thread tap so I will re-thread the 2 holes and get larger hardened bolts

As for the engine sitting higher I have Nismo mounts and thats what has received credit for the hood hitting my valve cover, and to combat that Ill try hood spacers-even though Im not really a fan of them.

Thanks Didderson, and trust I saw your pics lol Im watching your thread rather closely lol and I shoulda wait but wutevaa and the bay Im not too worried about because no one will see behind the engine. Oh and my pullies look like crap up close because there is silver spray paint on them lol but thanks

^ unless i'm reading it wrong, the problem isnt the holes lining up, its that they won't catch when he tries to thread into them

you might want to look more into why the vc hits the hood. i've never heard of that happening before with nismo mounts and i'm running the same mounts with fine clearance.

WC Your correct about the threads. And damnt...could it be my hood? Idk if thats not it, it was hard enough convincing the mounts to fit in this way..idk if we can do it any other way.

hmm are you sure you have them on right? its actually really easy to reverse them by accident and iirc they'll sit too high then. i did some reading about how you have to makes sure you dont mix up which side goes where, so i took one side off at a time and installed the new ones right away. it's kinda hard to explain but the left side is one way, and the right side mount is rotated 180 degrees so it mirrors it. just something to look into

If I installed one upside down..I will murder someone, I will have to rent the cherry picker AGAIN for another $45. The LN and R should face upwards right?

For the trans.Loosen the nut/bolt setup where the transmission mount bolts to the transmission.

Make it loose so the transmission mount moves easily. Then get the 4 bolts started that hold the transmission mount to the chassis. Once those are in and you're confident you're not cross threading them. Torque down the middle nut/bolt that holds the mount to the transmission. Then bolt down the mount to the chassis.

As for the engine hitting the hood. I'd put my $ on the hood being the issue. Easy to test. Find an oem hood, and see if it still hits. If the engine hits the OEM hood still, then obviously it has to do with your engine.

I don't see the mounts being an issue personally.

I hope to god you're under that car with it being supported by jack stands.

I tried threading them in by themselves and no cigar..

Gauge Power, from the main ignition (key cylinder wires).

If you want to have them come on when the radio comes on, wire the (+) lead to the BLUE wire on the key cylinder, and ground the (-) lead to chassis metal with a ring terminal.

If you want them to be on when the car is running (best way), wire the (+) lead to the BLUE w/ RED STRIPE wire on the key cylinder and the (-) wire to chassis metal.

any other questions, email me

oh and...

Its funny you say that about those connections because I pulled some of those off today, and why would it be better to only make it when the car is running over the radio?

Nice diagram!

Why would u want your boost and afr gage 'on' if the engine wasn't running anyway? You wouldn't have a use for reading them... < that is my answer to the above question.

If you're going to do some wiring, get yourself a cheap multimeter, and learn to read a diagram. Your swap will go more quickly and more smoothly.

Attempt numero uno to hook up the Power steering lines and Im confused..

I thought the resovoir would bolt right up, but no threads or even holes in the chassis for it on the drivers sideThen the banjo bolt that goes into the pump doesnt fit through the peice that connects to the lines in the car, so Im attempting to remove the peice from the SR and put it on the lines in the carand WHERE THE HELL do these go? I assume they somehow connect the low pressure line between the rack and resovoir but how..? and where do they mount?

im not sure if this makes a difference, but im pretty sure thats an s14 res which might be why it doesnt want to line up. my s13 dohc res lined up with preexisting holes perfectly. oh and btw, the lines will arrive tomorrow

Got em today thanks. Dealing with a few issues today..

-Getting aggravated with the downpipe, I have 3 studs in the elbow and they are too wide to fit the downpipe onto but they are 47mm long so Im going to try and get some shorter ones for it.

-The banjo bolt that goes into the PS pump doesnt fit thru the peice on the lines so Im pulling the peice off the cut line that was on the SR. The problem is that these things must be impacted on hella hard so it took my dad standing on it while I wrenched it to get the first off, and we cant arrange the other one so it will stay still.

Unproductive day, one more final tmrw @ 8am, then its overdrive.

SO..as I'm waiting on the last batch of parts to come in the mail before I start this car and I am wondering what is next? [after she is running]

-I can install my VLSD-Order tires and boost controller [after a few weeks of saving]

but then I have to make a choice of what to do for this summer, because I can only do one of the following...MAYBE 2 if I work a s***load.

1) Buy injectors, a tune, and Z32 MAF and crank up the boost for 300hp and womp on people from now on, parts include:- http://www.phase2motortrend.com/sa55in.html- http://www.jimwolftechnology.c...D=480

2) Buy coilovers and maybe a couple suspension peices..options:- http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms/page.php?9- http://www.stance-usa.com/sus/...o-top

3) Wheels/tires and maybe a couple luxury items- http://www.discounttire.com/dt...LCINT- http://www.tirerack.com/wheels...dClar=

Im split right now..still thinking about what to

Ide say go for some suspension bro. Tons of power with s***ty handling would suck. Plus maybe a sweet a** deal will come along on some rims or something you never know. But i would deff go with the suspension

I'm leaning towards the injectors etc, I want to trick out my suspension because it is a drift car but I feel like I would have done my entire turbo swap half assed if I dont get get it all done now.

No pics since I left my camera at my dads but a textual update.

I am in need of an MAF plug, not the MAF itself but the plug from the wiring harness itself so if anyone has a spare one Id gladly compensate you for it.

I was able to completely hook up my battery as well as gauges, and it looks amazing! Starting to come together finally! I also cleaned up the interior, it was impossible to sit in the car w/o some plastic going up my a** so that was nice to clean up-oh and Armor All interior wipes FTW! PS is almost 100% hooked up, BUT I still dont know how to do the return line..someone give me some advice if ya got it.

I am planning to get as much done as possible tomorrow and tues and hopefully by Weds Ill have the car up on jackstands and do the downpipe, fuel lines, and maybe exhaust.

Feel free to comment.
