Thanks, The wiring for the stereo and alarm system was a nightmare though. And the riveted the entire lip kit to the car, So I cant take it off till I get my version select kit...

Well I picked up some VALVOLINE full synthetic oil the other day. I usually run Royal Purple, but I heard that it runs thin in turbo cars. I have heard some good things about Valvoline though. I also picked up My DOHC cluster for $30, a new PCV valve, and some coolant...I'm so close, yet so far...

Well I got some done last yesterday, It was a perfect day it was nice actually having the garage bay doors open and having some natural light. Well this time around I decided to slowly buy fluids instead of buying them all at the same time... That way it doesnt feel like I am spending so much..

Also just some random parts like PCV valve, Hood Bumpers, Timing Guide, Oil Filter, and my DOHC Cluster. The cluster had a ton of sun spots on it so one night at work I sat there with some rubbing compound and it all came of, and I think it came out very nicely. This is what I have done on the engine bay so far. The firewall and tower tops still need to be done and also a clear coat needs to be applied to everything. Then I tested my newly attained gauges...They look very very good. The picture does not do it any justice. Then I decided to install my oil pressure sensor for the gauge. I of course taped it because the last thing I need is a oil leak. Here it is installed, there is still enough clearance for the oil filter to go on easily. One issue was that the wire they give you is not long enough, and I wanted to keep it color coded, so I started sodering and shrink wrapping green wire together for the oil pressure signal, and black for the ground.

I then put an eye on each wire to connect it to the sensor...Then I dicided it was time to install the intake manifold... finally.I then stated messing with my gauges some more. Now they came with thes visors that I didn't like so much so with a little modification and BOOM perfect angled mounting!

Well, thats it for today..

Having a job helps. haha. Its hard to find one at the moment. But if you have the patience and the compassion, then get into the mental health field. The turn over rate is so high they are always hiring. The pay isn't great, but it's something.

Thanks man. I only get to work on the car about two days a week which sucks, but it's better than nothing.... And honestly I am doing this on a pretty tight budget, and If you plan it out well it becomes easy to save. I may not have the money to buy $500 gauges, but I did some research and found PRO-SPORT gauges for $50 that have VERY good reviews, etc. It'd doable man. Just do the research.

This past weekend I got both of my gauges mocked up. I absolutely love them. And here is another picture of how clear my cluster came out...And some of the almost done bay...Still waiting on my Courtesyparts.com order BTW it's kinda crazy, but what can ya do...

Congrats again, what's your opinion on the sound deadening? I kinda wanted to make an attempt at it. How long did it take to do it? Looks good

The sound deadening is kind of tedious but completely worth it. I cant wait to actually finnish mine. It's so cheap and so easy to do.

Well the other day I put the wiring harness in the car so I could get everything fitted. The wires that go to the two body harness plugs I ran through the fender. This not only makes for less wires in the engine bay, but it also enabled me to mount my ignitor chip inside of the car which I like a lot considering how touchy they are.I also re-mounted my gatorade windshield washer tank with this bracket that I ran a zip tie through. It is now much sturdier.I also painted some parts satin black. The only one that is done is the resivoir tank the others need more coats.

Well I stopped by Nissan and picked up some silicone gasket. This stuff really is woth the extra money. I never thought so till jarrett had to take a water neck off of a sentra that had this on it. It took them forever for them to get it off.I picked up a new bolt for the timing chain guide. I hope it is big enought the stock one was too small. And no more broken hood prop clamp...

And on a completely unrelated note, my fiancee last saturday bought this 1963 Schwinn Racer 3 spd for twenty dollars at a yard sale. It will be our project. Probably going to re-dip all chrome pieces, paint the frame satin black, white wall tires, and as many original decals as I can get my hands on.It's gonna be fun....

Well, my courtesyparts order has finally shipped and will be here today. I finally will be able to reassemble the bottom end and rebuild the oil pump. Also the guy I ordered my timing guide from forgot to send me the attatching bolt. He is shipping that out today which is awesome. Tomorrow I will be finnishing sound deadening the inside of the car as well as hopefully welding my intercooler piping toether. Seems like I can finally get to work again.

Well I got my courtesyparts.com order... My master cylinder was leaking so after some research I found out the seals for the resivior was the culprit, so bought the seals from nissan. They are $4.62 each and the part number is 46045-w1300I then started to rebuild the oil pump... The rotor set is $21.20 and the part number is..15020-B13001 You also need the valve set regulator it is $8.83 and the part number is..15132-B13006.I covered the gears with red line lube for stat up..I then replaced the front main seal. It costs $8.83 and the part number is..13510-B13004I then cleaned the resivior as best I could, and I think it cam out pretty good..Here it is all together, I had to use redline to get it back in..Well I got my OEM main caps and installed all of them and torqued them. They are $4.74 each and the part number is 12293-B13001Then I used my Nissan silicone on the upper lower pan. It is $18.99 and the part number is 999mp-a7007I zip-tied my fuse box up and out of the way..And I started putting my engine bay back together...Thats all for now...

Kaminari USA. I will probably be getting rid of it next year for the version select copy front bumper and the version select V rear bumper. It really depends how it looks after I lower my car and get better wheels.
