Yep, I re-did the entire harness, and figured out a clean way to run the throttle cable. Just waiting on my SR mafs to get here.

Well I started the car and it ran but I had a problem with the clutch not completely engaging. So I got a new one. I go to put it in and its too big. I thought it was a problem with the parts company but it turns out whoever had the motor before me put a SR20DE flywheel and clutch on it. So I got an oem SR20DET flywheel and It went right in and it fixed the issue.

I also got a new oil pressure sensor for the prosport gauge since my other one never read anything. I dont recomend the oil gauge or any other that uses any electric sensor. After reading into the problem I found that almost everyone has these sensors crap out on them almost every six months.

I also removed my upper timing chain guide in hopes that was the tapping occoring when I last started it. After removing it I saw some very deep scaring so hopefully that was it.

All thats left is bolt up stater and install driveshaft.

In the mean time here are some real pictures of the new valve cover color.

I am doing this because I hate the look of after-market manifolds. I like the look of my stock heat shield and such.

Be careful removing chain guides, typically they are warning signs of other problems. How new is your upper tensioner?

Well it ended up not being that guide. It was valve chatter from no oil. I drove it about one mile like that and idled it for probably ten minutes total. Well I replaced the oil pump and replaced all of the rod and main bearings again and now the car runs great I drive it daily to work and it seems like this build can get back to the nature of the title.
