Well I finally got the SR back together with the exception of the valve cover, which is taking a little while because I am wet sanding it inbetween each coat.

I also mounted my fuse box on the frame rail which makes it sit lower and a little farther forward...

Well I made a new power wire for my alternator. My old one was a bit corroded and was realy stiff.

I then covered it in my braided sleeving.

I installed my CAS and Oil catch can and kind of mocked things up.

Everything is top notch man.

I saw that you have the cx intercooler / BOV kit, I'm just about to place the order was was wondering how fitment and the blow off valve is. Any stalling problems?

No installation issues. No stalling issues once I had it adjusted correctly. You will need to remove one of the springs inside of the BOV to prevent compressor surge. It's really not a bad BOV for the price, but if you want to upgrade turbo size or turn up the boost you should look into getting the real thing... If you need more specifics just ask...

Sweet man, how it sound? Is it like a whistle (type s or ssqv) or like a whoosh or air? Love how much attention to detail there is on your daily build man, especially all the small things. Right now my main goal is to toss the SR20 in and get it running no matter how it looks haha.

The sr is honestly a good choise it is overdone, but it's over done for a reason. And make sure to not cut corners it sucks to have to go back and fix things...

dude you caught my eye so freaking quick the moment i saw your car on pg.1 cause of the fact that 1) its a 1990 like mine, 2) you have the same kit as mine AND you were able to help me identify the kit (i'm like the 4th owner of mine) and 3) the fact that you update with pics is awe inspiring.

just a quick check, i'm in search for a new cluster and i notice that your pic is of a DOHC cluster, which looks surpisingly exact to mine... did the 90 ever come with a doch cluster with their SOCH engines? cause if so now i know what to look for when trying to find a new one... mine's... lets just say i know by heart how fast i'm going in a stock 240 just by the tach needle and gear position.

I got mine from noyausa.com, Not bad at all really. It didn't come with a mafs but you can get a SOHC one for like fifty dollars. And it came with a NISMO clutch and HKS plugs.

You are the first person I have seen with the same kit!!! I had to do a lot of research to find out what kind it was.

And they never came with a DOHC cluster, there are no differences in looks when it comes to the clusters, at least that I noticed.
BTW I love the red on your car... :bigthumb:

Awww I hate myself now, I used to have 2 flawless Schwinn Stingrays with banana seats and nothing missing on either. They were the sickest Kids bikes ever but the seat meant adults can ride without banging knees.

I saw someone put new BMX handle bars, new wheels, street tires and pegs and used it as his freestyle BMX bike it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

Kinda like this but better....

Well friday I got the motor ready to put in. i.e. I took off the valve cove so I dont scuff it us, I took the intake mani off so I wouldn't damage that, and got my chains on and atatched it to the cherry picker. Unfortunately I did not have my camera so I will have to take some pictures on monday or tuesday when I go back up to jarretts shop.

I also got my I hate stickers order. The fresh sticker is gonna go on my hatch glass. The rest I am planning on covering my upper radiator support. I think it will end up looking pretty cool.

Well, I am putting the motor in tomorrow, and hopefully get to start it this friday or next monday...
Im so dang excited. I have pored a lot into this car and I just want to enjoy it. I am not a fast driver I just want to cruise around listen to some modest mouse or matt & kim and every once and awhile just get on it enough to hear it spool and blow off... :naughty:

Thanks. I still have some polishing to do but I am just too antsy to get it running to do it at the moment. And I very well may need that luck, so thanks... :bigthumb:

Here is a picture of the motor mounts jarrett (cracka400) made for me and thanks to Jarrett #2 (slagithor) we figured out play-doe cups work best for the molds..

The stupid picker was too short so desperate times call for desperate measures. The G was the one who got it in though.
