Carl H confirmed that the 25 cover fits the 20 valve covers just fine.

Which means that you can choose either the vented one or the normal instead of me having to slave over making more.I would still like someone with a RB20 to test fit it and make sure its the right height and everything though.

Also, I've been working on getting a final price now that I know the material & labor cost to make it. The one's without vents are going to be between $95-$110.The ones with the vents will be just a little bit more (+$10-$40) because I'd have to individually cut out all the vent openings and the complex shape is more time consuming to lay-up.

I might have a 100% success one, it's in the bag right now. It should be cured by 2AM est. But it has a fiberglass backing so I can see through the back and see how well the core matt adhered.

100% success! Holes and back are perfect. New high viscosity epoxy gel coat gives it a deeper shine and makes the blue really come out when you look at it from the sides and front. Just doesn't look like it in the pictures though. Now I can turn my full attention to finishing the vented cover.

Old bad one is one the left <-New good one is on the right ->

Pic of it by itself.

Those covers look amazing, looking forward to seeing the vented covers as well, if they are half as good looking as these they will still be baller. Curious as to what the final price will be on these, and if it's decent I will definitely pick up one when the engine starts going in.

AZhitman (big man himself) gets the first vented one and then I'll start cranking them out. Maybe 2 or 3 weeks?

I'm still working on the vents. Its extremely hard to get them all perfect. I've also been looking for another vent design in case I can't get this one to work out.

No can do.I'm not going ship any out until AZ gives his cover a 100% approval. But I am making a few to stock up while I'm finishing the vented one and the timing cover so people won't have to wait for them to be made.

Best I can do is when I can ship them out I'll send you one of the first few to test fit for height and clearance.

I have to flush the center because it won't have a sticker, paint it, wax it, then make a mold flange around it, so I'm going to have to find one that I can buy and keep. Thanks for the support though. As for a list, your already on it. No deposit, everyone that's in this thread and has supported this build has one reserved in the color they wanted for them in the same order of the posts. If they don't want keep one reserved I'll just ship it to the next person who wants the same color. If I ever get backed up in orders or someone wants a custom color or material like hexel texalium (silver), plain carbon weave, 5HS carbon weave, pure kevlar, etc. (I will list all options in the market thread) I will take deposits.

I wouldn't buy it until I am completely done with the RB25 set so I don't know what I would offer.

Also I just found out that HKS Kansai used to make a limited carbon/kevlar set for the 26 in japan for OVER 500$ USD

It was just for the upper timing belt cover and the coil cover together. What would be the 3rd?

Edit: I forgot I made a test sheet for the different colors just so people could see how they changed when they were wet with epoxy. It came out like poo because I'm using thick weaves that are best for my vacuum bagging so hand lamination doesn't work too well. From top to bottom, left to right:top middle-pure kevlar, 1x1 plain weavemiddle left- pure carbon, 5HS special weavemiddle middle- pure carbon, 2x2 twill (carbon look)middle left- pure carbon, 1x1 plain weavebottom left- natural yellow carbon/kevlar, 2x2 twillbottom middle- red carbon/kevlar, 2x2 twillbottom right- blue carbon/kevlar, 2x2 twill (the one I've been using)

The cover looks sick. As for the vented one have you thought of going with the 2jz style vs the louvered 1jz?

As for the HKS kansai covers, I think they're a bit pricey but fit and finish on them was excellent.

The 1jz's vents are too close to use. The 2jz's vents are not an option either because in order to pull that look off you need all the screw holes to be symmetrical. On the rb25 cover one is set slightly further back.
