FWIW the 25 cover should bolt onto the 20 just fine.

The 3 that are going to be in production are:RB25DET normal coil cover (no sticker bulge)RB25DET Ventedand soon RB20DET vented

Seriously, I need some color opinions so I can order in bulk with my next order.Colors are: PURE BLACK, BLUE/BLACK, ORANGE/BLACK, YELLOW/BLACK, and RED/BLACK.

Final price hasn't been decided. Somewhere between $90-$120.The more orders I get the cheaper I can get the materials for.
Can you post some examples of your colored fibre?

I'm ordering up more today. Since it's a new supplier I only ordered the Blue/black carbon/kevlar. Expensive stuff, so I made a patch with this one to test try it.
Carl H wrote:FWIW the 25 cover should bolt onto the 20 just fine.
Awesome, this is great news. It takes a long time to get these covers perfect. I put in over 40 hour of sanding and prepping into this coil cover alone. You would never guess that the stock cover had so many imperfections.
eh? wrote:Any chances of making a CF upper timing belt cover?
Actually, yes I do! When I'm done with the coil covers I'm going to start with the upper timing cover. I planed to widen it to the lip around it and make it kind of like the 26's cover. I will also have a stock carbon one too, of course.

Venting the cover is a great idea. The coils build up tons of heat. If you ever make a cf cover for the 26, I'm buyin'!

Rain has me on hold for the moment being. Too much humidity. Here's where it sits for the moment being with PVA (It's like saran wrap that dissolves with water, helps pull them apart). When it stops raining I can gelcoat and fiberglass it to make a coil cover with this and add the vents.

Awesome! Should have the vents in with pics and ready to mold either tomorrow or the day after. The vent-less one might be fully ready in a day or 2 too. Will have production pics with it so you get the idea of the color.

Alright so the rain passed and I was able to get the mold going. Since everyone has shown more interest in the vented one I'm going to finish that one first. Should have plug pics late afternoon tomorrow (Tuesday).

It does look good but you got to like being able to cover the stock coils and the wire harness while venting off heat and keeping the dust off.

Plug is finished!

Good news and bad news.First the bad: The mold I was using for the plug cracked so its going to take me awhile to fix it again and make the plain coil cover . Now the good: The plug you see in the pics is the one I'm going to be cutting up and adding the vents to. So that means... I'll have pics of how the final product will look like tonight.

Also, mods is there any chance to change the title of this to "Custom RB25/RB20 Coil cover. Opinions please."Reason being is Carl H stated that the 25 cover fits on the 20 too. Thank you!

OK, I have a problem that involves NICO member opinions! Since you guys are going to be buying them I feel you should help me decide. I would make a poll thread but I really don't want to over post about this cover. What do you you guys think? The "Flush one" (flat, the original idea and my favorite) or the "Aggressive one" (protruding).(Please keep in mind I have to make a mold of these vents so I can have them run down the entire coil cover perfectly measured and symmetrical so that's not how they're going to sit, strictly for demonstration purposes)

First up is the original "Flush vents"_________________________________________________________________

The other is the "Aggressive vents"

I'm down for either.

But.... What about cutting that vent strip in half. Then making the front half like a "scoop" and the back half as they are now a "vent"

What do you guys think?

Just went out and measured it real quick so I could have a piece of mind. The lowest part of the cover with the "flush" vents will clear the highest part (coil plug plastic) by about 8 mm. More than enough room.

I decided I'm going to go with the "flush" one due to AZ's and the wife's opinions. Also its easier to make with its mold position which means very little failures.

About the 26 cover, I know its in demand but I have the 25's upper timing chain cover to make to match the coil cover first. Then I'll work on finding a 26 cover.

I would be in for a cf 26 cover with the "flush" vents. I already have a cool cover, but the vents would be sweet!

Yeah, but I have to get my hands on a 26 cover first. They're dead expensive thanks to people wanting the 26 valve cover set.

Making molds isn't the easiest thing in the world you know, Its actually very time consuming, and the sanding, it never ends.I would prefer to get covers that I can keep around in case the mold breaks and I can't fix it so I can make a new one.

Just need to mold some more vents to run along the rest of the cover and then its time to make the final mold.

Just asked coolwhip if he has any 26 covers in stock. If he doesn't I might just have to offer someone a free carbon cover.

Also AZ, if you run by this again what are your thoughts on a carbon upper timing chain cover?

I just want to see a completed unit before committing to one. That's all.

Also, are you going to have the provisions for the factory transistor (igniter)?

Need a 25- Vented.
