So far the computer shows 24.2, when it would usually show 26+ at this stage of amount of fuel used. I'm just under halfway thru the tank but I will post my final numbers.

btw when I started my car yesterday, the temp on the computer read 106. Ugh!

I'm in Bartlett, TN, suburb of Memphis.
I filled up today and ended up with 24.85. I had maybe about 30 less highway miles than normal. My previous 3 fill ups before this one got (from most recent) 26.02, 26.41, and 27.47. So I lost at a minimum 1 mpg with the AC on nearly non-stop.

After over 65,000km (40,000 miles) my 08 Rogue SLAWD never quite reached the mileage I had hoped for. On average 9.7L/100km and I do 90% of my driving on the Hwy. Decent but not great on gas. I still think you end up putting your foot into the accelerator more with the CVT.

It all depends on your driving habits, and whether you have FWD or AWD.

My FWD SL model routinely gets 8.2l/100km (29 US mpg) on the highway. I usually drive no faster than 120km/h (72mph). I expect the AWD models will fare slightly less. Even if the AWD isn't active, there is some parasitic drag due to spinning the rear drive shafts and rear diff. There is also additional curb weight to consider.

I don't think I have ever gotten much worse than 9.5l/100km (25 US mpg) and that was during the dead of winter.

Approx 9l/100km or 26mpg on my latest trip. All highway at avg speeds of 110km/h (66mph). Not bad considering I had a 16ft canoe strapped to the roof! I guess the canoe hull is very aerodynamic!

320 miles by 11.87 gallons, so just under 27 mpg. This is my SL AWD driving no more than 55 mph, ussually around 30-45.... (small towns). NO highway.

That is some decent mileage pianomanmv. How many miles so far on your Rogue? Fuel economy generally improves after the 5-6K mark.

Purchased my Rogue SL AWD two weeks ago. On my first fill-up I got 26.5 mpg. On the second, I got 25.5 mpg. Driving was a mix of highway and back roads. The first was a little more highway. I'm just about due to fill up again and I already have over 1100 miles on the car.

I just made my first fill up - 70% city driving and unknown level of fuel when I reset the tripometer when I picked up the car - the gauge said full, but as we all know that is not always so.

I averaged 22.29mpg.

2009 Rogue SL FWD. All city driviing so far... but at a relaxed comfortable pace. (still trying to baby the car) Anyway... we're well into the second tank of fuel and only averaging 19.8mpg!
I'm happy to report now that I've burned thru 5 or 6 tankfuls and put a couple miles on my Rogue the gas mileage has improved (as other members have reported it would) Both the trip coputer and my calculations are putting my average at 22mpg.

Have 2008 Rogue SL FWD with 30000 mi. on it. Just picked it up only a few days ago. Took a 480 mile trip with it on Monday and the information center indicated 31.2 mpg. I verified it by completely filling the tank before and after the trip, and it was the same.

I love this car!!!!!

From what I gather hear - the computer mpg calculator is usually off (confirmed in my case - computer gives 23.5 mpg and pen and paper gives 22.7mpg) is it possible the odometer is off also? I notice the milage in my old car to my job was shorter by about 1/2 mile compared to the Rogue odometer. Can't confirm which is right - just a thought.... will have to compare with other car later..

2009 SL AWD - Vancouver, BC12,000km avg around 9.5L/100km on say 60/40 Highway/City. I think the fuel economy has more to do with which brand of Gas and if your commute includes hills....

Is there a forum post/poll on type of gas people here use? So far I far I get better fuel economy from Chevron gas over Esso (in Canada)..both 87 octane. I've tried 1 tank of Husky Gas (which is regular price but gives 90 octane) and it was wost. Love to see you guy's thoughts

Had my car for 54 weeks now and these are my results.

17246.8 miles, 688.482 gallons for an average of 25.050.

My 3 lowest tanks were 21.458, 21.686, and 21.687. Those were when my wife was very/post pregnant and used my Rogue while I drove her Mustang. She did a lot of city driving, probably 90%.

My 3 highest were 28.108, 27.769, and 27.468.

I'd say about 60 - 70% of my driving is highway, mostly congested in rush hour for about 50% of the time.

According to the computer, I'm at 9.5 L/100 km @ 13,700 km on my '09 SL AWD. I know it's not as accurate as calculating, but I haven't had the time (or inclination ) to do the math properly. I'm a little disappointed, as I do mostly hwy miles and was hoping for better fuel economy. Ah well... from reading this thread, it doesn't appear that my fuel consumption is out of the ordinary.

I have had my Rogue since April. The first 2000 miles were mostly city and short trips, and the weather was hot. I got between 18 and 21 mpg. The last 3000 miles have been mostly highway miles and I am getting about 25 to 27 mpg. The weather has also cooled and I'm not using the AC, and the engine should be broke in also. I am also driving over mountain passes, so I have been really pleased with the mileage.

Per google: 1 mile per gallon = 235.214583 l/100km

22mpg = 10.7L/100km

That runs about the same as i do (i do about 70/30 city/highway) and runs about 10L/100km = 23.5MPG

I find the Rogue (or CVT) runs smoother and more efficient in the summer (even with A/C on). Also I found it the car is smoother / fuel efficient if I accelerate fast then lighten up on gas VS slow accelerate and have to press hard on gas to pass/speed up

I think the highest fuel consumption I have seen on my SL FWD is about 9.5 l/100km or 24.7mpg. I average more like 8 l/100km or about 30mpg. 30% city, 70% hwy at an average speed of 100km/h

Hey guys, I recently leased a 2010 Rogue SL AWD with premium/leather/moonroof packages. I'm still in the break-in period so a less than normal gas mileage is already expected. BUT after reading some of your postings, now I'm deeply concerned that I might have gotten a lemon.

Currently I have about 400 miles on the meter, and this is my 3rd fill-ups already. My in-dash monitor currently reads 16.4 MPG. I drive about 70% local & 30% highway. I've never seen it go up more than 17 MPG.

My Rogue also has some noise/vibration issues at low speed but they're not as concerning as the gas mileage I'm getting.

So what do you guys think?

Be less aggressive and more gentle on the gas pedal (especially during warm up time, the first 5 minutes) and you will see the mpg will improve magically.

How do I know that: Where I am doing about 25 mpg, my wife does about 18 mpg.

Most of the time, the car is not at fault, the driver is.
