Easy doesn't begin to describe it. It's all run and gun. Even on hardcore. No tactical thought needed whatsoever. I'm already about to prestige, and I think I've only been killed once by a sniper rifle. Everyone just uses the Famas.

Haha, nah, not THAT bad! But it is the predominate weapon used, at least from what I've seen.

You type with a lisp? :lolling:

I really was hoping that game was going to be awesome. I held off on picking it up and am so glad I did once I heard about all the bugs and the lack of interest that the publishers had in fixing them.

The only bugs I've noticed are with connections - if you're with a large group of friends, it will often fail to connect you to a game together (last night, six of us were waiting for TDM together and me and one other guy ended up getting warped into a random FFA) or you spend 30 minutes waiting for it to locate enough people to throw in with the rest of you to balance it out to be 6v6.

In spite of that, I'm having fun - level 1 to 22 yesterday afternoon. :)

I like it better than MW2. The things I hated about MW2 was the quick scope crap. You almost always died from 1 shot even somewhere stupid like the foot. I hated the fact that people could hide in areas where it was imppossible to kill them but they can kill you perfectly from a far distance. Not everyone snipes. I hated the rooftops bc people would just sit on the upper level or the roof and snipe all day and you couldn't kill them, getting like 50-3. There are almost no places like that in BO and I like that.

I think it is better that it takes more damage to kill enemies, its alittle more realistic but sometimes it does piss me off when I hit someone 6 times and they kill me first anyways. It is one or the other I guess but Ill take it. I also like the fact that extra damage is out, but I think Hardened Pro gives extra damage?? Commando was good but there were some IMPOSSIBLE kils from way far away. I like the fact that you can have a granade and a claymore, AND flashbangs, etc

There are alot of new features I like about BO. I like the new wualifications for going Pro. Its not so easy to get. I like the amount of options such as creating emblems (very nice add-on), face paint, lens color/emblem, more guns, good kilstreaks, and more. I like that you have to buy stuff too. Its not hard but it may take some time so its not so easy. I like the new levels too for the most part. They are alittle bit griddy and mazey I will give you that, but i think that solves the problem of what I said earlier. I also like Zombies. I think Campaign is great too!!

Like any game out there, there are problems. I think the connection thing is a hug issue. Sometimes I will get kicked out of a party for no reason and can't rejoin. Games don't start, they just go back to the lobby multiple times in a row. Sometimes it is annoying that the games start quickly because I dont have time to change settings for a certain level. Sometimes when migrating to a new host, my PS3 freezes and I have to turn it off.

But overall, I hated MW2 to death. I like BO much better and I actually have more kills than deaths this time :gapteeth: I think they solved alot of problems from MW2 and I thank them.

For those having connection problems...

From what I have been able to deduce, it becomes nearly impossible to join games with parties of 3 or more when some one is looking through different menus.
- If every one in the lobby stays in the same menu as the host does when he is looking for a game, the odds of finding a game greatly increase...
- So that means, no editing your emblem, changing your classes or choosing contracts.

Try it out and let me know if you notice anything.

ALSO,
Please mess around with the theater mode, it is so freaking epic!

I dont know if that makes sense. Why would that matter? Is it just because it is alot of precessing or something at once and it makes creating a new game that much more difficult???

Whatever

It doesn't make sense, that why it works for the CoD franchise.

Maybe. If you go by the law of averages there's much better competition on the Xbox just based on the sheer number of players - the competition may just be too tough for him to enjoy the game online.

I can't imagine it's actually due to game quality though given Treyarch's admission that they prefer the Xbox version and the multitude of complaints regarding lag filled games and dropped sessions on the PS3.

Have ya played both? I have and dont notice a difference aside from the fact i hear far more 12 year oldish kids yelling the N word ever word on live. I own on PSN just as much as Live

People made this same arguement with MW2 people on PSN suck vs Live. I saw this at first < a month but after that it was the same.

Ill give the fact that there are some dropped sessions and connection problems on PSN. And I will give the fact that 360 is larger than PS3. But there were some great posts there. I don't need to play against millions of freakin people to be happy. Also and one of the most important; I'll risk a bit of lag every now and then for FREE online play and movies (and internet browser??). *cough Blu ray *cough

I'm sure any game consule has some lag, nothing is perfect. I also think the numbers are a bit exagerated. I dont really care about graphics either. I mean as long as they are not blocks running around, its fun. There are other games besieds shooters that look super real. Alot of racing games including GT are smooth and very detailed.

Sorry not trying to thread jack lol. I still think BO is good IMO so I will play it for reasons stated above

I have seen some sick tomahawk (TH) throws so far (like a 4-kill RC-Car detonated by a TH) but this one takes the cake!

If you need tips try going to the Zombie section of NGT's website.

They claim they got to level 50 and so far they posted up to level 40 videos.

I'm really enjoying the mulitplayer but one thing that just pisses me off is the fact that teammates will not revive you. I'm laying there in last stand with a big flag above my head that says "REVIVE" and people from my team run right over my (soon to be) dead body. It takes two seconds to revive someone AND you get points for it! Revive your teammates!

I really like the COD $$ concept and the contracts. The only thing I can complain about is that I have trouble creating parties with my friends. None of us are able to connect with the other. Didn't have this problem with MW2 but for some reason can't with this one. Especially since we all got the game to play zombies

Make sure that you have it equipped. The same thing happened to me and I was like WTF?! Then I found out that unlocking doesn't automatically equip it. You have to go to your class that has it equipped, go the the perk and then when you select it there is an option at the bottom of the list that says "Upgrade to Second Chance Pro."

I think that's pretty lame seeing as how when you unlock it the game doesn't tell you that you have to go and upgrade the thing. At least I don't remember it telling me that, but I may be wrong.

Yeah I felt like a complete retard when I was telling some people while playing online about that. I definantly did not see the Press Square to Upgrade to Pro. I was like O..M..G.. what a dumb POS. Do you know how long I had been going with basic second chance! I got made fun of all night for that :tisk:

I also upgraded to warlord pro and hardened pro while I was at it lol. I did not see "purchase to upgrade" either. O well, I know now.

Now that the games been out for a month is it still fun to play the MP or has it become a repeat of MW2 with all the glitches and boosting? If I don't get it for Christmas I'll probably go pick it up but I'm still wary about it. I stopped playing MW2 after it became a race to see who could out prestige who and all the 10th prestige lobbies started popping up, it just became stupid and not worth my time.

Nothing really standing out glitch-wise. The connection problems are still bad. They did a software update yesterday (PS3). It's actually gotten worse! 5-10 mins to find a match. And of course, when you do get into one, 30 seconds in, it craps out. Once the connection problems are fixed, the spawning gets adjusted properly, and maybe new maps that have some variety, some decent cover, and actually allows sniping, it will get really good. I was never big on sniping in COD. But once in awhile, it's always cool to set-up somewhere and cap some heads, just to give using assault rifles and smg's a break.
