Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

I ****ing hate this game. Single player was great but online just seems broken. For me its like this, spawn, die, spawn, die, accidentally kill a guy, die by his lame drop a nade when you die thing, spawn, be about to kill a guy and match end. I probably just suck at it but I play lots of shooters and I dont think theres a good enough matchmaking system, unlike halo(another game I hate, but the well designed online matching is sort of redeeming). I dont know, I guess I prefer more tactical games over the twitch reflex ones.

Same way i feel about it. But i think im still goign to pick it up. Seems like if you actually try you might live. I see some of my friends who are fairly good die after killing someone too. Gets annoying. I prefer halo =]

Whenever i get my 360, ill have enough money for two games.

One of them is going to be Forza 2, no doubt.

I dont know which i should get for the other, Halo 3, or COD4.

Ive played COD3 and 1 on PS2 (single player, offline), and i freaking LOVED the game. Its badass. Id love to be able to play it on Xbox Live.

Halo 3, i dont get whats so special about it. Its just like fake lazer alien dudes as opposed to a realistic (kinda) military game. But for some reason, this lazer tag game is FCKING FUN!

I think im probably going to go with COD4 though, i could always get Halo later.

3 isnt old and its not bad at all, i might get halo instead though, because when you buy it, you get $20 off a year subscription of live

i get a free month trial of live with the xbox, so after the month i might just buy halo and live instead of cod

id buy either of the cod's used on half.com or somthing. i think im talking too much

4 is much much much better than 3. When you buy 3, and then play 4 at a friends house, you will hate yourself. Save up for 4.

This game might seem that you die every second because its a really fast paced game. If you are used to GRAWII or other big maps games, then its going to feel weird at first. The maps are fairly small compared to other shooters but makes the online gaming much better and fun. I used to try and snipe kids all day long when I started playing, but now I run around and end up with 12-22 kills on average. It gets fun when you run around and find people just sitting there sniping your team members and you just walk up to him and stab him. This game is way fun, wait till you get enough money and get it.

You'll get used to it quickly enough. All my buddies who are not gamers played it and did HORRIBLY their first shot. After a day or 2 of addicted gameplay, they're teaching everyone a lesson!

If you want to get better playing online, you almost have to exclusively play online. Try to blow through the rest of the story - single player has a lot of great missions but the most fun lies online. If you spend all your CoD4 time online you will notice yourself getting better pretty quick. Watch those killcams too, they can sometimes give away a good strategy. My one buddy will NEVER watch them, and then asks ME how he could have possibly been killed. As with anything, practice is key, so if you play enough you should see big improvements.

I'm upset the Pistons lost to Boston on Sunday, although I figured it would probably happen. We have a tough schedule this week...we did Boston Sunday, we play the Mavs on Wednesday, and then the Spurs on Thursday. It should be very entertaining though. I'd like to see us get a permanent starter though, so Sheed can go back to power forward. McDyess has been great filling in though.

People online get hack crazy...Its probably a good game for hacking in since you can shoot through walls. A lot of the times people can just be stealthy and you are killed before you even realize whats going on, and so people just assume its hacks.

I guess your playing it on PC then? Do you have xfire? add me (VicktorVauhn) and I'll try to play sometime...I'm on a pretty bad connection though so some times I cant get a decent ping on any servers.

hehe, the knife in this game is pretty sweet

You don't know what xfire is!? lol, you not play many other games? Its kinda like aim, only tailored to gamers. Won't minimize your game when you get a message, you can send and receive messages with in game, and it keeps track of what everyone on your buddy list is playing so you can just push a button and automatically launch the game and join the same server as them.Google it, (its probably http://www.xfire.com )

Only COD4 talk I have to add is that I still haven't picked up the game again since the stupid "get back to the evac zone" mission after the sniper flashback pissed me the royal effing hell off with it's uselessly crappy teammate AI and massively unfortunate autosave timing.
