I was so tempted to buy that game today at work!

but is it good though? I mean for the PS3? cause, I never liked first person shooting games for game consols except for pc.

but Rainbow six vegas is hella cool! :D

+1 for teammates who don't gaurd the rear

I find it very funny that I prefer the M249 over the M60. The M60 just doesn't have the range and accuracy I like to have for gunner support
I just hit lvl48 and my favorite assualt class is

AK-47 w/red dotcolt 1911 because I hate the shiny Desert eagle3x fragsStopping power (+ 7.62mm = quick kills)extreme conditioning

If the room is full of morons i will use martydom because they get killed by that more than moths in a flame, but in most close matches I find the improved running ability to be much more useful in keeping me alive.

For stealth I roll with

AK74u w/silencerUSP w/silencer2x claymoresUav jammerDead Silence / Extreme conditioning (depends on the map)

I never got used to the M16. I've never like 3 round burst. I'm a conservative enough shooter to regulate my burst pattern, but I like having full auto for those "Oh sh1t" moments.
I don't know.. I never liked full-auto guns. It's just the recoil on them bishes that kill it for me. with the M16 w/ stopping power, you just need them in your crosshair for a SPLIT second, a single burst spray and they're done. and with the red dot it offers pretty decent range.

buy it. I'm playing it on PS3. it's pretty much exactly the same on both PS3 & 360, the only thing the pc version has over the two is the ability to "lean". but yeah, it's a great game. online is very addicting and has a surprising amount of depth to it.

I'm now at level 43. Frag x3 & Deagle FTW!

PC also adds the mouse and keyboard, when will you silly console gamers learn

seriously though it sucks you don't get leaning...is it not in single player either? I really like games that give you a lean option now a days.

yeah yeah yeah, lol. nope, no leaning in campaign or online. imo, when playing online, the action is too fast paced that I probably wouldn't utilize the lean ability even I had it. but then again, that's just how I play I was thinking wouldn't it be cool if we were able to have a cross-console CoD tourney? ...but then I realized the PC sniper guys would pwn everybody haha

lol, I think thats actually why they said they left cross platform support out (maybe just internet rumor)

for multiplayer is it less useful though I actually now use it with out even thinking because when your turning corners its easy enough to hold the strafe right/lean right button at the same time so that you walk around the corner kinda leaning in first. not really just sitting behind cover leaning out (though that can be useful too, other then the fact that you cant just duck back for cover since they can shoot through the wall)

wow though, it would be like almost nessiary for single player though....I probably made 80% of my single player kills while leaning lol.

well I got through the entire campaign mode literally without even the thought of "..if only I could lean......"

I mean no, it most definitely doesn't hurt to have it, but I also don't think it's "absolutely necessary".

I doubt there is a discernible difference between the game on the two systems. I have it on 360, and before this I found R6:vegas to be the most fun console shooter as well. The first time I fired this game up it replaced it. The first mission I played as a Marine solidified it. The first game I played online almost made me throw R6V out.

I dont think the leaning is necessary, but I wouldnt mind a "stick-to-cover" button like in Vegas. That would have helped a lot, not necessarily for single player, but for online play.

The first time I played online I only had the chance to do one quick round before I had to leave.

I got into it last night finally, and leveled almost all the way to 20. I couldnt put the game down. It's just too damn fun. The maps are great too. There's not a single one that I don't like yet, but I of course do have preferences.

I dont know if I have played that one yet. My least favorite seems to be Downpour. Im not entirely fond of Vacant either, but I guess it all depends on the game and who you are playing with.

Shipment is like a 2 vs 2 map that keeps getting played with 32 players. Its just a small flat gated area with some shipping containers to block sight lines.

I actually somewhat like vacant though....downpour I like when I do well and dislike when I do bad

TBH I don't love any of the maps, which sucks because the game is so good.

1.3 is out for you computer guys...It mostly adjust the accuracy of the sniper rifles and ACOGs...

I lean all the time in multiplayer. It's the only way to live in hardcore mode. If you full on walk around a corner, you're asking to get two shotted

The only downside is i tend to expose only my head. which means i just get headshotted by long arms and snipers

PC guys. My xfire is qqkobushi. My new ingame GT is =WFC=Hijacker. I wasa accepted to a friend's clan and play on their hardcore mixed map.

Finally played Shipment last night with a buddy. It's too small for even 2 people. I cant imagine a 32 player match on there.

Oh gosh. Imagine playing Headquarters or Search & Destroy with 20+ people on that map... It's pretty much impossible to capture or defuse anything, unless you've got MAJOR coverage.

but on the other hand, if you've got the Frag x3 perk & friendly fire is off, it's super easy to rack up blind kills haha

I would do that too, and Im sure juggernaut doesnt hurt either. I would probably opt for a Saw and as soon as I spawn just go prone and start firing through everything.

A few buddies and I love Shipment for private games. We love doing Shipment with 4 people, free-for-all, Melee only

I do have to say that if you land on a map full of level 40+ players and you're still in the 30s, get ready to be pwned. The power disparity is horrendous. I liked BF 2142's power difference. You could still at least function at early level, but the game was more skill based than gun based. I dislike when I get 2 shot sniped by a sub machine gun that would be highly unlikely to pull the same feat off in real life
Might just be me but i cant stand the P90, takes like 15+ hits to kill. I'm a level 44 or 45 cant remember which. I usually take the Ak bandolier, extra damage and extreme conditoning. I own the ps3 version but i play online on both consoles and i usually go 30-10 most games, infact the higher level players seem to suck more to me. Go figure.

On normal servers, I 2 shot w/ my P90. I also get 1 and 2 shotted with it consistently.

Hardcore I went back to my M4 for range

are there vehicles you can use in this game like there was in all the others?

also, if yes, can you use them in online modes?

if no, then a random question about COD3, can you use THOSE vehicles in online mode?

no vehicles. there are some missions in campaign mode where you'll be manning a chopper turret, and a really cool mission where you fire missiles from the chopper, but other than that.. no vehicles at all online.if you want vehicles.. check out unreal tournament 3. great game.

This game got best war game of the year, and I wouldnt have it any other way. This thing is way fun. Im at level 47 and I cant stand the P90. For me its true about the 15+ bullets to kill some one with it. Im rolling with the Claymore,Over Kill, and Last Stand perks. Red sight M16 with red tiger camo, and the M4 carbine with red sight. I think the single player was way short though. Took me a while to beat it on Hardened but still way short IMO. The online I cant put down. Any one having doubts about getting it should get it asap.
