but is it good though? I mean for the PS3? cause, I never liked first person shooting games for game consols except for pc.
but Rainbow six vegas is hella cool!
I just hit lvl48 and my favorite assualt class isHijacker wrote:I ranked up to 40 with the M4 and red dot. Mixed with Stopping Power and martyrdom (just because I like to piss people off). I used to run with Deep Impact, but I found that I get killed often enough from someone close on my six, that martyrdom will rack up about 7-10 kills a map.
+1 for teammates who don't gaurd the rear
I find it very funny that I prefer the M249 over the M60. The M60 just doesn't have the range and accuracy I like to have for gunner support
I don't know.. I never liked full-auto guns. It's just the recoil on them bishes that kill it for me. with the M16 w/ stopping power, you just need them in your crosshair for a SPLIT second, a single burst spray and they're done. and with the red dot it offers pretty decent range.Hijacker wrote:
Hmm.. I was hoping for a CoD4 expac first, but I'll take Cod5 as well
I never got used to the M16. I've never like 3 round burst. I'm a conservative enough shooter to regulate my burst pattern, but I like having full auto for those "Oh sh1t" moments.
buy it. I'm playing it on PS3. it's pretty much exactly the same on both PS3 & 360, the only thing the pc version has over the two is the ability to "lean". but yeah, it's a great game. online is very addicting and has a surprising amount of depth to it.MiiLaNo wrote:I was so tempted to buy that game today at work!

I doubt there is a discernible difference between the game on the two systems. I have it on 360, and before this I found R6:vegas to be the most fun console shooter as well. The first time I fired this game up it replaced it. The first mission I played as a Marine solidified it. The first game I played online almost made me throw R6V out.MiiLaNo wrote:I was so tempted to buy that game today at work!

I dont think the leaning is necessary, but I wouldnt mind a "stick-to-cover" button like in Vegas. That would have helped a lot, not necessarily for single player, but for online play.s13jus10 wrote:well I got through the entire campaign mode literally without even the thought of "..if only I could lean......"
I mean no, it most definitely doesn't hurt to have it, but I also don't think it's "absolutely necessary".
I got through the 90's with out an iPod, but I like mine plenty.s13jus10 wrote:well I got through the entire campaign mode literally without even the thought of "..if only I could lean......"

Shipment is worse then hitler.xekushnr wrote:The first time I played online I only had the chance to do one quick round before I had to leave.
I got into it last night finally, and leveled almost all the way to 20. I couldnt put the game down. It's just too damn fun. The maps are great too. There's not a single one that I don't like yet, but I of course do have preferences.
I dont know if I have played that one yet. My least favorite seems to be Downpour. Im not entirely fond of Vacant either, but I guess it all depends on the game and who you are playing with.Red coupe wrote:Shipment is worse then hitler.
Shipment is like a 2 vs 2 map that keeps getting played with 32 players. Its just a small flat gated area with some shipping containers to block sight lines.xekushnr wrote:

Finally played Shipment last night with a buddy. It's too small for even 2 people. I cant imagine a 32 player match on there.Red coupe wrote:Shipment is worse then hitler.
Oh gosh. Imagine playing Headquarters or Search & Destroy with 20+ people on that map... It's pretty much impossible to capture or defuse anything, unless you've got MAJOR coverage.xekushnr wrote:

I would do that too, and Im sure juggernaut doesnt hurt either. I would probably opt for a Saw and as soon as I spawn just go prone and start firing through everything.s13jus10 wrote:

but on the other hand, if you've got the Frag x3 perk & friendly fire is off, it's super easy to rack up blind kills haha
A few buddies and I love Shipment for private games. We love doing Shipment with 4 people, free-for-all, Melee onlyxekushnr wrote:

Haha, gotta admit that sounds pretty funny.HungryNinja wrote:

Might just be me but i cant stand the P90, takes like 15+ hits to kill. I'm a level 44 or 45 cant remember which. I usually take the Ak bandolier, extra damage and extreme conditoning. I own the ps3 version but i play online on both consoles and i usually go 30-10 most games, infact the higher level players seem to suck more to me. Go figure.Hijacker wrote:I finally hit colonel (lvl 40) and got my P90. That gun is way overpowered IMO. I was slowed down a week after the game came out, so I'm way behind the level curve and was getting totally butt raped by other high levels.
I do have to say that if you land on a map full of level 40+ players and you're still in the 30s, get ready to be pwned. The power disparity is horrendous. I liked BF 2142's power difference. You could still at least function at early level, but the game was more skill based than gun based. I dislike when I get 2 shot sniped by a sub machine gun that would be highly unlikely to pull the same feat off in real life
Soon meaning 2-3 years.SketchyRollin564 wrote:also i was reading through this thread again and i noticed sombody said call of duty 5 was starting production
so does this mean call of duty 4 isnt getting any packs or updates and call of duty 5 is going to be out really soon?
