What's up Gismonismo. Looks like your build thread got nearly as many flames as mine did on 240sxforums. Still haven't got the power I want out of mine, but I'm hoping you can get the numbers on yours so I have motivation to keep pushing on.

all good man.thanks for stoping by man.You should start a threat here and maybe we can help you out.Usually the reason of not making good numbers is bore sizes and fuel, like for example when i installed my pistons.I called them and ask them what size of gap and what size need to be bored for 32psi?If you don't ask such questions they will just tell you .025.See what I mean? Some times even turbo set ups. Many people have already built engines like ours.I always tell those who are not familiar with this engines to cupy set ups.Thats why I builded this threat.I know i still haven't fire the engine but i'm pretty sure about my numbers.for exampleMy fuel is set up for 700hp.My block and head are also set up for 700+hpMy turbo is set up for 700hpmy clutch is set up for 500torqueIt all falls down to the tuner to give me those numbers.Harmony is the key.Building balance as you go.I wanted to go and stock the engine with a tomei kit but for this chasis is just not right being one of the most shty chasis I've ever worked one. This chasis are to light and is flexible as heckyou should ask thisdid you got the right bore and honed size?did you got the right port and BF ?Solid lift is the only way I know to push more the 600hp out of a RB25detHydrolics have a hard time catching up the diff cams shafts sizes ect.blance is the key.Forge pistons and rods ect.are only for safety. The head of the engine is what makes the power.going on a aggresive port and polish job some times doesn't pay.Balance manfor turbos I only have used T04s nothing else to say,I went for the T78 just because I had it laying around and was runing low on cash.Yeah I did copy my set up from some old rb set up and used some for the RB26.Know theres almost no dif. from mines RB25 and a RB26 almost non just the stock thats it.Thats why I don't think adding stock will help the balance in power and wieght.itll only affect it more.If I was to build it for drag you bet your @s i will dump a rb30 with a rb25 or 26head and a auto or seq.transmission.maybe a SR stocked and slevs. But this is not the case for this build S chasis are one of the best for drifting and sorry I don't think I would build one for auto cross We got AWDs for that. This is a street sleeper But still you can go out and pull an 11 on the drag and head back home with no need to change sht.I only hoping for a do what ever you want on this build.Since I will never be the fastest lol its about having lots of fun lol.I'll always take them out on the street, drag and autocross and then see what needs to be further tune.Balance my friend.Thats the key

I'm picking up Tomei Pro Cam RB25DET - Solid Type - 270 deg - 10.25mm Lift - IN & EX + Cam Pulleys. Might be a missing critical piece.

hey gismo, if your getting a cage ANY place that works on race cars will charge the **** out of you. id suggest going to a shop that specializes in off road roll cages for trucks etc. they are usually pretty reasonable in pricing of cages, just a thought. oh and go with chromoly its a **** load lighter.

gismonismo where are you located in Orlando? I live in the Waterford Lakes area and work off OBT near Lee Rd at ProSource. Your setup looks great. I have been very very slowly trying to build my RB25 to similar specs. I would love to see your car in action once it is done.

So, ive read through about 4 of the 8 pages

Everyone hating on the rb25 700hp idea NOOBLEts its possiblejust alot of moneyz =P

Top gear has featured a rb25 pignose drifter with 850 hpAlso on the same show they showed a skyline for sale witha rb26 with over 1000 hp (neither on juice)

Forget the hating fella's this is a thread of a man pissing all his money away to obtain the SHIZNITS =P

(Ironic the ls1 man on the first page has no faith in the smaller lighter and more efficient inline 6, with more power at cheaper prices too =P )

Wutever Lovely buildup thread =)

happy holidays

you have no idea what your talking about, why dont you read the thread completely.

AS I SAID BEFORE HE WILL NOT MAKE 700 FT LBS OF TORQUE!!!!!!

and the IRON 6 cylinder is not lighter then an ALUMINUM v8 ls1 GENIUS. and it wayyy more expensive to build up an rb25 to make 700 hp then it is to get 700 out of an ls1 your screwing retarded if you think otherwise.
