Well, it's been 2 weeks that the 4.08 swap has been available and still no takers, even at a steep discount...

Hope we don't get this kind of response on the front strut tower braces and the (eventual) supercharger! :)

Todd - $850, and turnaround should be between 1 and 2 weeks from the date you ship core to return of your new 4.08.

Shipping out is on you, return shipping is on me. :)

How can I tell if it has the updated guides or not? It's missing the ps pump and throttle body, air hoses and airbox and EGR. The rest is there.

Todd- Email me homer!

Doc - Hard to tell w/o pulling the front cover. You MAY be able to run the VIN thru Infiniti and see if it was done by a dealer....

Thanks to dgoodo for buying my screw up 4.08 rearend.

I am now on my way to some tire blazing performance. I sent off my new core that I bought at a salvage yard and this time it has "traction control" so I should be getting it back in about 2 weeks and installed shortly afterwards. I will let you all know how I like it. Check out my other 4.08 4 sale thread for pics of the differences between traction versus non traction control...the two are really different.

Also I think that BRM may have a core now for some of you all if you are considering this mod as it would eliminate any down time for you all doing this mod.

Warning!

All indications are the 90-91 diffs are a two year only part! Besides me getting something from a Nissan dump truck, I still hear (from the junkyards) the 90-91 is different than 92-96.

FWIW.

So are you saying the 92-96 won't fit on a 1990?

that is correct....I called Joe @ everything Infiniti to confirm before I bought my second core and he said that the 90-91 were different...the flange is different. I think that it is only the 90-91...but could be 92 also. Joe can tell you.
