I bought a red 1989 240sx about a year and half ago for $500.

It was automatic and was stuck in drive, so no reverse action.

It has sat in my garage for about 8months untouched.

I am getting to a point in my life that i can slowly work on it...So I thought i should start my own build thread.

I didn't really take any pics of it when i first got it...but here is what i have.

I built the open and swapped it out for a VLSD but don't know what its from.

I installed the clutch master cylinder. Got a clutch pedal out of a parted s14.

I have a m/t that i just put a short shift in. Still need cross member for it and speed sensor.

I have drive shaft, flywheel, clutch, bypass line. So hopefully It will be driving aroung in the next couple months.( ha year later I am still here)

I have this SR bottom end sitting around so probably this winter I will buy a motor stand and work on getting that built.

lol for a second there my laptop screen is really dark and i thought the chain guide in the last picture was mising section of the block. i was about to say, yeah i don't know if you should be using that block.. lol

good luck though and props for changing it to a manual. a couple years back when i was trying to sell an auto shell, everyone kept crying and saying "ehh i don't know, it would be a pain." p******

OEM teardrop. I am thinking of sandblasting them to a nice shine then painting the teardrops gold or something.

It looks like bondo. But he used a little less hardener than instructed. It should make the bondo harder..................when it finally dries in a few days.

Well truth be told I did a photochop a while back and thought it looked good if you don't remember......

I thought why not, there are more pignoses around if i didn't like it.Its bondo. Yes i didn't use that much hardener. but trust me, that is alot of bondo and its not even close to being done. And I am getting rid of that line that goes all around car.

i like this idea, but i wouldnt go any farther than the se seven spokes. mirror polish with gold would be .
