Not poking fun or anything, just curious, how come you're on house arrest?

Congrats on the whole land ownership/clearing out, you're farther ahead than I wish I was at this point.

stockbee- i'm on unmonitored (no ankle bracelet), house arrest for violating the probation i was on for a DUI in 2005... i violated the probation by driving on my business license while driving my 2nd S14 home after buying it... tough break...

david-LOL no need to be J bro... my car is a overall second hand POS

spooled- thanks for reading the whole thread, i know it's quite long, and i appreciate anyone who takes the time to read the whole thing.... as for the LCAs F and R they're godspeeds, from eGay...they were like $418 for the F/R shipped i think... so far pretty bad a**... no probs yet and i've about 250-300 miles on em...

thanks bro... i just get car emo from time to time, cause i know of all the little things that are bad about this car...

so i got wicked tired of my headlights looking like this....

and i decided finally to do something about it... so i went to Auto Zone, and scooped this lil bad boy up... and got to work...

pulled my headlights off, cause it was dark outside, and well, I'm impatient as f*** and can't wait to do anything, and brought them inside and set up shop... here's the "before" shot... with and without flash to show clarity...

and the afters.... who needs German glass???

tomorrow I'm going to spray a coat of clear on the lenses to keep the yellow from coming back, as i hear that's a problem with doing this...

and i'll snap a shot or two of them actually ON the car in the daylight...

worked pretty good for me so far LOL... got bored and did my turn signals too...

the difference is negligible...

before...

after...

see, not much of a difference, but hell, in the details is where it counts... at least now it's a nice smoooooth surface for when i paint them, and the corners amber...

i know right? they're just as clear as glass, and the kit was only $19.99 @ Auto Zone...

everyones detailed up... couple things hanging out with the gray car tho... dropped exhaust, front bumper just stuck on, and the VLSD dropped...

i also spent half the morning tweaking, banging, and adjusting the front and rear end of the black car... it wasn't "perfect" before, so i had to move some things around... now it back to OEM straightness with 3/16" gaps all around... front is a still a bit off but oh well...

now the louvers on my Kouki tails line up perfect...

also, i got tired of the bad serial port on my Nistune, and i figured, since i got a new lap top, i might as well get the consult port like i like it...

work station...

final answer....

and i got a few more things coming in the mail....

CAS...FReddy extra capacity oil pan...Adjustable cam gears...

hitting the track this weekend... any guesses on what this slut will run in the 1/4?

my guess is a mid 12's probably a 12.5-12.7 @ 110+

on my "stock" setup, IE MAF, injectors, bolt ons, i ran a 13.3 @ 108.3MPH with a serious bog off the line (damn fidanza), and spining 3/4 of 2nd, and 1/2 of 3rd, so i think, even on that set up, if i could have gotten my launches down, and tire spin under control, i could have hit a 12.9 EASY if not less... i was running 16lbs psi, this go round, i should be around 18-19lbs PSI on my t28, Zmaf, and 550s....

guesses?

eBay-Godspeed... and i think it's up to 1.5" wider eaither side, for a total of 3" track width..

never made it to the track.... was too friggen hot.... you had two choices of how you wanted to be in the meets parking lot.... sunny side up, or over easy...

so i just went home and lost my starter a mile before i got home.... NICE....

good news tho, got a parts list waiting for install

new SR starterFReddy oil panCircuit Sports inner/outer tie rods w/boots (last peice of stock suspension that needs replaced)Nismo motor and transmission mounts (yes ryan, i will get them)Innovate LC-1 Wideband (finally i can datalog AFRs with my NIStune)KOYO radiator (just installed)Vision Motorworks adjustable cam gears (will put on HKS Step 1 cams if i can get them off of ryan)OEM SR20DET fan shroud (OEM bits FTW!!!!)HID's (will look OK in my restored lenses)

new Koyo w/new Samco hoses in.... ordering a Nismo thermostat, and a GReddy/Nismo 1.3 bar radiator cap..

HID's installed... yeah i know, looooooooong grain rice, but f*** it....

a shot of these cam gears i have, and my FReddy oil pan...

and a Dodge Viper i was f***ing around with on I-75...

that's all for now i think....

Dam blackzenki lovn the progress on your car, your inspiring my s14 zenki build

Quick question on your headlight cleaning, what clear coat did you use or gonna use to keep the dam yellow plauge from coming back??

i actually haven't used any clear coat yet, as i'm testing to see how long it takes to come back, and how bad it does.... and for the cost of the 3M kit, at $20, i can afford to do it every few months when i do a good detail on her.... we'll see though, and i'll post results...

a little secret? to get the yellow gone (but not the haze), use DOT3/4 brake fluid, new or used, doesn't matter, wipe it on thick on the lens, be careful not to get it on your paint, then let it soak for a bit, then wipe away... i usually do it twice each lens, and then then polish it off with some windex... it will get the yellow gone, but not the fogginess..

^^^thanks!!!!

and yes, aero is most definitely in the cards.... i'm trying to lock down some OEM/Navan Zenki side skirts and rear valances... i like not just how it's OEM and "so JDM tyte yo", but how it's just about the only aero that's clean, and subtle for a Zenki...

i had big aero on my first black zenki, and well, i think i kinda out grew all that, now i'm going for the OEM clean look....

after aero will be a new paint job... my car looks bad a**, from 12+feet away.. get up close and you see the minor flaws in the paint.... it'll be repainted same color, or maybe the House of Kolor Metallic Matte Black.... who knows, but definitely OEM sides and valences...

also, sorry for not being too conversational at the meet, but I'm kinda a shy guy when i don't know anyone, and there was a lot going on...

It has been extremely entertaining to read this whole thread. Not only are you somehow able to come up with a** loads of money but you actually have made 90% of your posts funny to read somehow!

Nice build!
