yeah they did, i can FEEL the motor running now, and the road A LOT better.... nature of the beast...

well i figured with a new Koyo, it's best to go ahead and replace damn near my entire cooling system... so here we go...

Nismo thermostat and GReddy radiator cap...

OEM on left, Nismo on right

yeah, it's in or whatever...

finally getting my OEM fan shroud in (had it for like 2 weeks now)....

let's see if if the "hyper lube" s*** really works...

FINISHED!!! looks pretty good IMO....

and after doing work, had some friends over.... Sydewayz, and Clawhammer, i only get to see Tim (sydeways), these days, maybe twice a year.. and for us all to be hanging out like old times is pretty cool...

Tim and i, killing Nazi Zombies whilst drunk as f***..

ummmm.....WTF?!?!

pretty much it for now.... nursing the MASSIVE zinger of a hangover, Goodys and Motrin are kinda working though... so yeah, i guess that's it... for now or w/e, i dunno.....

What's up with the fan shroud? Looks like you got an electric one on the radiator....aesthetics?

the electric fan is for the AC, and the shroud is for OEM goodness, and directional air flow for the clutch fan....

OEM sekz....

^OEM clutch fan and shroud FTW!!!!!

well another minor update... as you guys know, i was using a RS Enthalpy ECU while i was waiting on dyno tuning... well Clawhammer needed his ECU back cause he sold it, so i was left with a half assed tuned NIStune set up... FAIL... not to mention, my laptop crashed, with the NIStune program, even more FAIL... SO, i downloaded all the NIStune stuff and put it on my girl lap top and got to work....

also, i put in my black GReddy profec B and TT, and removed the silver units as i'm selling them...

pics...

my camera hates sharp photos as dawn... damn point and shoots... Either way, fairly clean set up... a lot going on. but at least it's all installed properly and with attention to detail...

Black looks soooo much better than silver...

Before...

After...

and finally.... all cleaned up.... been riding around with my ECU on the floorboard and harness all over the place... first time it's looked like this in a while... and i hate how the flash makes my dash look blue....

as for the Nistune set up, luckily Martin at Z Fever wired in my consult port, so no more wires through the glove box, i can just plug into the OEM port!! anyways, i had to basically retune my car, cause the last tune i had was a tinker tune, not really dialed in or safe (13.2AFR @ 10bls), so i sat in my car for what seemed like a half an hour for it to warm up to operating temps (Nismo Thermostat), and got to work... so far the 550's and Z MAF are tuned in, with nice 14.6-14.8AFR at idle and the same at 2.5k rpm or cruising... i wont be putting that many miles on this set up, as the loose tune makes me a bit nervous, the most miles i'll be putting on it is the drive to tampa to have it dyno tuned on thursday...

more updates to come, and sorry for the long read guys....

I have an SR20 with AC, but I don't have that electric fan on my radiator. I know the KA's have one. Anyways I ditched the clutch fan adn shroud combo and went with with a FAL dual setup. Makes it easier to work on the car too

thanks bro, and getting sideways this SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!! BE THERE!!!!

well, another update.... last pieces of stock suspension have finally been replaced... my inner and outer tie rods... so i picked up a set of Circuit Sports inner and outer tie rods with pillow balls, and new steering rack boots up for $80, and too it to my "sponsors" shop to install.....

i love free shop time and pneumatic tools on hand!!!!!

here's the pics, sorry for the low quality, but i didn't have my point and shoot on me, as i didn't think about it....

one of my fav shots, Dons SCCA Eprod Z car, and of course, mine...

CS I/O rods dangling with new rack boots on...

other random s***...

so, the 2 mile trip from Dons was quite fun... as my toe was out SUPER BAD, anything over 30mph and i was squealing... so i nursed it, at 25-30mph the whole way to Firestone, where they COMPLETELY ignored my camber/caster specs, and basically set it to stock..... ugh... hopefully i can go back up there and get it done right tomorrow by the guy who usually does my alignments...

got some more things on the way...

30mm alum F/R Z brakes (will do fronts but gonna leave the rears off till i can get the E brake set up)S14 Navan Valences (now just gotta find some side skirts) C-West mini lip spoilerNardi wheel (still need hub and QR)

that's all for now, more to come I'm sure

since all the major things are done, motor, suspension, wheels etc, s right now i guess this is my order of business

Minor aero- Navan valances and skirts

new paint (you can't tell, but the paint is not as clean as it looks, no fading, just a lot of debris)

seats and harnesses

small cage...4-6pt-only if i need it though... most everything i have is a fully functional part, and i'd like to keep the rest of the car that way...

pull motor, and either do a EPIC rebuild, rods, crank, pistons, sleeves, whole top end work and a NICE top mount T3 twin scroll set up. basically build a 700HP block and only throw 40-450 at it, that way, it's gobs of power and still reliable...

or.....

drop a RB26 or 2JZ in, i've been thinking alot about either motor lately... since this car is going to be basically my "street" car and weekender and i'll have a beater S13 coupe for a drift car, a inline 6 would be pretty sweet and being nose heavy wont really be a factor... but something like that would come a few years down the road...

other than that, besides all the filler stuff, little things here and there, small upgrades like better coils and suspension parts, that's pretty much the chronological order of things...

hell, what more can i really do?

Which fan shroud did you use, and what kind of modification you have to make in order to make it work? I want to switch back to clutch fan for my S14 with S13 SR too.

ThanksJesse

it was nice, and on point, but just a "general" tune... my dyno tune feels A LOT smoother...

i think it was a S13 SR shroud, all i had to do was cut a hole on the side for the AC drier thing... pretty simple... and just mounted it to the Koyo with zip ties till i can find a more permanent solution...

update!!!!

well guys, finally got her on the dyno.. Martin @ Z Fever is once again the s***, previously converted my harness for me...

i had some technical difficulties, and i need to order some parts, and head back down there to get the tuning finished... numbers for now, i'll going to be mum about.. at least until i fix the problem, and have the tune finalized..

on the rollers....

strapped in!

Martin on teh toonz...

had a few people show up... , Jason (ph3ar?), Sean (4wheeldrift), Seans girlfriend (for your your name, sorry!), Ryan (Clawhammer)... Sink came through to get some parts... never said hey LOL... then again neither did i.... fuzzy pic, but still cool to have some guys from the aera and the local forum come check out my car on the dyno, thanks guys!!!

that's pretty much it... i had an exhaust leak problem at the mani/turbo flange, and wasn't able to really get above 7-7.5lbs of boost... but at that, it put down good power... all i have to do is fix my leak, by either replacing s*** like i usually do, or just reusing my OEM mani, and getting a new gasket....

oh, and i also have a lot of video... this f***er ROARS on the dyno.... link will be up soon....

Just read through this whole thread. the car is looking good man! you've put a lot of hard work into it and i'm glad your finally able to start having fun with it! reminds me of my black on black (leather, se, vlsd, etc.) zenki before i wrecked it... I WILL HAVE ANOTHER ONE!! Should have my S13 KAT back on the road any day now.

thanks bro, glad you like!! and show me some pics of your set up when done man!!

SO... due to recent problems, and some money making, i went ahead and bought some parts to fix and upgrade my turbo and cooling set up.. everything's ordered and should be here before the weeks up....

OEM Exhaust manifold gasketOEM turbo to manifold metal gasketS15 Spec R T28 compressor and exhaust housing (i know the comp housing is an upgrade for a GTIR turbo, not sure on exhaust w/divider..)S15 Spec R waste gate set upS14 ARC cooling panel (traded GReddy suction kit for it)Circuit Sports stainless steel oil and coolant lines

so once all these parts are installed, i need to save a bit of money and head my a** back to Z Fever, and let Martin finish tuning this bad boy.... should make more power by upgrading the compressor housing as well...

i decided to go with the OEM manifold instead of buying a new one... as the OEM does flow REALLY well, and it's affording me the $$$ to upgrade other stuff and get new gaskets and s***.....

yeah, once everything is fixed, and no more issues, i'm going back to the dyno... with the compressor housing upgrade i think i should be looking at around 340-350wheel on pump gas...

I read your whole build!

1. I hate you cuz you not only have 2 zenki's but 2 really clean zenki's

2. I dont really like sr's (hate hate hate) BUT i really like your black gurl shes really sexy!

3. The led dash lights are so beautiful i almost cried!

4.Your suspension setup made me pee a little. The bottom line is that i have a crappy 100 stock zenki and your cars make me wanna do some MASSIVE damage! You did an EXTREMELY GREAT job on your build screw what the other forums say i think its the titties!!!!!

Oh how much leds do i have to order for my dash to make it just like yours?

wow bro, thanks!! it may not be some 1000whp baller build, but it's been done right, cleanly, and with certain goals in mind... due to my obsession, it's gotten to where it is now (i wont say done LOL), faster than it probably should have... many arguements with the lady, many empty wallets eating peanut butter and jelly bag lunches at work...

as for your LED's they're 194 bulbs, and you need three for a S14 cluster, and 4 i want to say for a S13 cluster...
