Yeah it looks better now with the s14 se rims. Ride height was cooler with the gts rims but they were kinda sketchy looking on the photos very blurry..So what are the plans for this beasty?

repair, restore, and make a s*** ton off money off it... i got it for HELLA cheap... i think total repair/restore money will = out to around 600ish... and that minor investment will allow me to make DOUBLE what i paid/invested for it...

yeah tom, i'm not working today, actually thinking of beginning the tear down on this car, as i've already ordered 3/4 of the parts i need to bring it back to DET, and not DE-T BS....

i decided to go ahead an begin the tear down....

well, got started on the new S14 today... what a mess... i wont go into any crazy paragraphs, i'll just let the pics and captions do the talking...

got about 1/2 of the random trash pulled off the motor... still got a little ways to go to clean it up... under the dash in another story....

pulled harness, and misc crap, already looking nice!!

check this out... i think it's the OEM S14 KA harness... no wonder this guy was having problems with this car, and the wiring was an ENTIRELY different story that i don't even want to get into...

what ECU is this? stock KA?!?!?!?!

good news is, all the AC lines have been converted to work with the SR AC compressor, which is in the back seat, so it seems like when all is said and done, this will be a A/C, Heat, and power steering car, maybe even cruise control if i feel froggy...

another surprise, owner said they were Tein springs... even better, Eibach Sportlines!!

another part to order... blown out/leaking clutch salve...nice fully secured shift fork LOL... both clips are off, where it's mounts to the pivot ball, and the throwout bearing... looks like the hardest part of this project is gonna be dropping the trans and fixing that.. but you can see that ACT extreme clutch in there, NICE..

another update! sorry for the same day multiple updates... and for being minor "nothing cool's going on" updates...

i already started swapping parts from the new car to the black one... so far, the driver side window switch panel (you know how the little mounting screw tab ALWAYS breaks in S14's...), the unbroken radio bezel, and i finally got my wide band out of the damn ash tray!!!

also, as a side note, that double stacked GReddy EBC and FATT set up, will be the EXACT same set up in black, in the new car, if i don't sell em first, as i got em both as a set for 2 hundo!! wicked deals FTW!!

and a couple shots of both S14's kinda snoozin' back in the driveway...

and i also stole the stubby antenna off the gray car, tu use on the black car, and put the CB sized antenna on the gray car..

well, made a little progress on the car today... pics and captions....

here's the KADE ECU modified by JWT to work with a SR20DET... seems a bit more trouble than it's worth IMHO.. it reads

GloShift water temp, oil press, and boost gauges.... most likely be sold soon and replaced with autometer units..

even bigger pile of crap....

got the inlet off the T25 to inspect, turbo has minor/moderate shaft play, not enough to replace now, but maybe some time in the next 10k miles...

now, a big question, i noticed when i took the valve cover off to take a shot to show how clean the head is, that the exhaust cam has a weird car on it for the CAS... can anyone tell me what it is? or if it will work with a DET exh cam??

for reference, here's a shot of my cams in my black top head... notice the gear on the exhaust cam for the CAS? see the difference?

that's pretty much it for now.... i think i've got a buyer for the car already, and i really haven't even begun work on it LOL... buyer seems like a cool kid, so i'll restore it right, and take my time like i normally would...

well minor update, car, and non car related...

changed out my plugs, found out they were BKR5E11's... yeah, 5's... so i put my 7IX's in there...

hell, that's pretty much it as far as car stuff goes...

now, on to the more important things in life... my 1.25 acres finally got cleared out, so i took some shots...

left a few trees, front right corner (goes all the way back)

barren country road....

back right corner of the propert, this is the planned build site for my 2 bay garage...

i was really surprised at how big the land was, before clearing it was a jungle of brush, vines, scrub oaks, snakes, s*** like that...

also, as a bonus to where i'm living....
