you have a S15 front???

okay, minor part update... thanks the Clawhammer AKA Rayan C, i got my GReddy AIRNIX and suction kit, complete with compressor inlet, and outlet, AIRNIX filter with Z maf adapter, for a really good price, thanks bro!!! (3 hundo new, not gonna tell ya what i got it for, muahahha)

also a couple other things i picked up...

gauge pod- to get my wideband out of my ash tray holebrand new OEM FPR GReddy 3" coupler (mine on the TB has got a tear in it, not leaking...yet

so thanks ryan!!!

pic of the sweetness....

and a cool shot i thought you guys might enjoy.... DD and Spee-D

more updates to come when i get my replacement turbo compressor housing, and install this stuff... this should be the end all to my problems, and my S14 should be more than road worthy at the end of this.... i haven't driven it in two weeks... I'm freakin' out!!!

well got my GReddy Suction kit installed, as well as my Z Maf wired in, and installed my NRG large oil catch can and hoses ran...

without further adieu, the pics...

and the days project begins.... pic of old intake set up in car...removed, and compared to the GReddy Suction Kit.... FAIL!!!!!i kinda like this shot... it's serious business.... i went from a bolt on inlet, to a stud and nut, studs sourced off my old SR manifold... it actually fixed the half stripped thread on the lower side... WOOT WOOT... just means i bought an extra compressor housing for nadda...GReddy Suction Kit, and TRUST AIRNIX installed...now to wire in the Z MAF..... solder, heat shrink, and elec tape!! no fancy loom, just function...very nice....DONE!!!

now on to recirculating my GReddy Type S and finally putting in my NRG catch can...

"damnit Jim, I'm a 240 owner, not a plumber!!"catch can installed over by cruise control actuator...final install shots... recirc shown, as well as CC hose set up...

there's a lot going on in my bay, and i'm not too too sure if i like it myself... but it looks OK and it WORKS....

now to tune in my Z MAF, relocate my AEM UEGO wide band from the ashtray hole, to the steering column...

more to come... just taking a cool down break as it's like 9000+ degreez out here....

okay, a little premature update, i'm just kinda pumped...

so i went to tune in my Z MAF (i know, for some of you, super elementary), and i got it right on the first try... i programmed it in, adjusted the Injection multiplier K constant, and got it dialed in to 14.7AFR at idle and 3k under no load.... WOOTWOOT

starting... Jessica Alba FTWworking on it, a bit or trial and error, but nothing major!!and the AFR @ 750RPM... this one goes out to Epstien (step one complete bro!)

now just to tune in for higher boost.. gotta make some data logging runs, i need to hit test and tune night at the Gainesville raceway, ******* house arrest!!

it started raining, but it just stopped like 5 minutes ago... i love florida, suns beaming down, and it's a torrential downpour for five minutes, and then it's all calm and sunny again...

sorry for the multipost... i'll get back to relocating my AFR gauge now i have a single mountable pod for it... and the top of the steering column will not work... looks like on top the dash, to the left or right of the cluster.... UGH....

okay, so i went and got my Lifetime Alignment at Firestone today... good news and bad news..... good news is i got my alignment.. bad new is, the most positive camber i can get in the back is -3.2, which yeah i know, "mad tyte camber yo"... BUT i can afford tires every 6 months... ALSO, the main thing, my driver side front lower control arm is f***ed... so i need a repalcement...

well, as some of you know, i don't have a lot of money, so i bought a s*** load of Godspeed parts... i know, i know!!!! you don't need to tell me... but lifetime warranty and every possible arm on the car for under $850... here's what i ordered..

REARRear lower control armsRear upper control armsRear toe rodsRear traction rodsRear 28.5mm sway barEnergy suspension end links

FRONTFront tension rodsFront lower control armFront 30.5mm sway barEnergy Suspension end linksSolid sway bar bushings

all with pillow ball mounts... i know what you're thinking "OH NO!!! NOT GODSPEED!!!1!!ONE!!", but hell, for the price, and the life time warranty, i can't go wrong as i can't afford to drop $2k+ in all my arms.... i'll be doing a 500-1000-2000 mile review as i go along, as most people say don't get the cheap s***!! but never try this stuff to begin with, so i figure why not, i'll be the guinny pig... if it breaks, i send it back and get a new one....

i also picked up a stainless steel braided ISIS high pressure power steering line, to replace the OE one that exploded on me two weeks ago... going to match my 1pc clutch line nicely....

SO, get all my suspension on, get a decent alignment now that my s*** wont be all F'd up, and tighten it up a bit, and i'll be good to go...

oh, and been driving the old girl all day today.... MAN I LOVE BOOST!!! i missed my baby... been laid up for what? three weeks now??

once again, i know godspeed is supposed to be s***ty, so i don't need 283746239847 posts saying "Godspeed sucks, your s***'s gonna break"

well, i got the ISIS stainless steel braided high pressure power steering line in... and i feel like a dip s***...

the high pressure line that was on there wasn't even bad, it was a rubber washer that goes on the part the banjo fitting slides on... it went bad, so i used the copper gaskets from the line i though was bad, and put one on the bottom, and top of the new HP line, with the lock washer, and nut .... problem solved...

another useless $100 spent... at least it looks "cool" or whatever... i could have used that money better elsewhere....

no pics cause i did it in the dark with a mini mag light.... that was fun...

diggin the build, put some miles on the godspeed parts, its not like theres alot of engineering to f***up when it comes to adjustable suspension arms. lets see how they hold up.

exactly my point..... 9.5 outta the ten people who say "godspeed sucks!!" never even ran the parts themselves.... they just "had a friend, who's cousins friends cousin had an arm break"

come on, it's a steel tube, a nut, a coupe bolts, and some pillowball mounts...

i can't wait to put some miles on the parts, and a fair amount of track time to see how they hold up... i'll be posting multiple reviews on them, as if they're actually decent parts, then a lot of entry level people can buy these, and have what they need...

if these parts had a GReddy sticker on em, i would have spent well over 4 grand on em all... instead, it's godspeed

well, a small update... the first round of the suspension came in today... having a back round in professional welding, i was actually surprised at the beads on the arms... and the over "appearance" of quality, i would rate at around a 8-9 out of 10...

pics...

all of em together... look at that BEEFY sway bars... good god...a shot of all the arms, and rods... front tension rods have dust boots on em, a nice touch...a comparison shot of the sway bars to show exactly how beefy they are... 30.5mm up front, and like 28.5mm rear... the bar on the left is the rear, and the one of the right is the front...

now i'm just waiting on the front and rear lower control arms to come in, then i'll make a day out of swapping suspension... with pics and all that... once installed, time to head to Firestone for a nice clean alignment..

oh, and i dropped my car off at my sponsors shop (Ahrens Z Car Specialist), getting the AC shiz dealt with, i got tired of trying to figure out the wiring issue so i said screw it, Don, fix it... and he's doing the work personally, which is nice, cause he runs the place....

one thing i forgot to add, i've sold my 600CC's and got a set of 550's... so i no longer have to get the car dyno tuned, as there a available tune on the PLMS site for 550's, Z Maf, and T28 ready for download. so i took the money from the 600's, bought the DW 550s, made a $40 profit.... also, i'm on my way back into gainesville to pick up a free KADE throttle body, which i need for the second pulley... instant cruise control!!! so at the end of this day, i'll have working AC, PS, Cruise control, and heat, and a good mid 12 second tune!!!!!!! friggen bad the f*** a**....

more pics and updates to come fellas!!!

they lines hold up AWESOME... but the recirc hose i have kinked, and create a prob so i capped on the recirc fitting on the GReddy intake, and now i'm VTA... i need to figure out how to get a good pend without kinking.... other than that, shiz is BA

okay so here's a decent update.... i sold the 600CC's and got a set of 550's... and i dropped them in....

in with the new...

out with the old!!

then proceeded to "test and tune" with my buddy Ryan, AKA clawhammer, i did the tuning at the house, and he made pulls down highway 441 till we got it dial in... house arrest sucks, but i think we pretty much got it dialed in.... 14.0ish at idle, and 11.3-4 under full boost, he says the car pulls like a monster, and seeing him shooting down the road i believe it... so i think I'm pretty close to dialing the tune in, just have to get it to a recommended 14.7 @ idle, and 12.0 under boost.... that was yesterday, today, my last few suspension parts came in the mail... my front and rear LCAs... now unlike the arm package i ordered, these have a lower appearing quality... as the arms were 8-9 out of ten, these appear to be 7ish out of ten, the welds look a bit sloppy, still strong, but just sloppy, i live Thia sweat shops... UGH, please keep the "i told you so's to yourself... i will put these through the test (and hang on to my stock ones just in case...)

if you're wondering what that little zip lock bags are, they're my "hyper white" 194 LEDs I'm using for my gauge cluter, to get rid of that ugly pale yellow/white color.. these are the HW and not the blues i had in my last car, these will still be blue, but not as intense, and hopefully match my cobalt gauges, and GReddy EBC, and FATT...

and an interesting pic i took while my son, Clawhammer (Ryan), and myself were hanging out messing with the car....

NSFW ALERT!!!!!

GET SOME!!! OOOOH YEAH!!!!

okay guys, got a small update, nothing big... i got my LED's in today i'd ordered for my gauge cluster, so i put em in and took pics, and I'll be making this post in a write up form, for those of you who think it's a neat idea, and to copy any paste it in several other forums, and might get stickied in their DIY sections...

So, tired of your pale yellow gauge cluster huh? maybe got a bulb out? well in this write up, it'll be a cheap upgrade to add some flash to your interior. This write up is for a S14, but I'm sure the S13 process is pretty much the same, although i think there's 4 LED's instead of the S14 3...

things you'll need-

Philips head screw driver, magnetic tips makes it easier, but not required194 LEDs, i prefer the 360* range as they provide the most light. I got mine on eBay for $8 for a pack of ten, S14 cluster takes 3, so I'll have extras.

Step one, removal of the cluster bezel, there's two screws (arrowed) that need to come out. Getting the Bezel out is a bit of a pain, but doable. If you have a SE model, you'll need to disconnect the cruise control harness, and all models remove the dash light dimmer switch on the other side.Once removed, you'll be left with your bare gauge cluster, and the three screws that need to be removed (circled).Remove those screws and work the cluster out till you can remove the plugs from the rear, it should come out enough for you to easily reach them all, then, you'll be left with the bare back of the cluster... remove orange/brown light plugs that are circled.Next step is basically removing those crappy 194 filament bulbs, and installing the LEDs. Be careful while installing the LEDs as they use their +/-, and if installed incorrectly, will not light up... a simple test to make sure they work is to install them, hook up the dash harness, and plug in the connector for the dimmer switch, and turn your lights on, they should all light up, if one doesn't, just remove it, and turn it 180* and reinstall, it should then work just fine... once all lights are working, go ahead and hook up the rear harness, and reinstall the gauge cluster.

after that, basically reverse the removal process and you're done!!

my final install, with night shots..full view.

That's it!!! pretty easy huh? and nice upgrade to your gauge cluster!!!

now back to the build... i got the KADE throttle body i needed for the second pulley for cruise control (my SR didn't come equipped with CC i guess), i got it for free, and got a little more than i bargained for lolthe hole damn intake!!

I'll just be fulling off the TB and returning the rest to the guy who gave it to me, and then I'll have to wire in the KA TPS to read for a SR harness...

suspension goes on Tuesday!!!
