I'll try and take it easy in this car (maybe).

it 100% matters what you look like when you tear it up at the track. The fans want to see a cool car. They do NOT want to see one that is taken apart and looks like crap.
unless, its tore up from grazing barriers and such. not cool if you ripped of your aero before to save investment.

very true.

If your bumpers come off because you brushed another car or a wall or whatever, that's COOL.

very JDM.

If you took them off because you don't want them to get scratched... WUSS style.

ok,

my car isnt seen by millions of people.. only those that come out the local drift events.

im not too worried about how my car looks like..

im more worried about having fun and enjoying myself than making sure i impress my fans..

which i have none..

and its not because my car doesnt look good either brian.

or that i sucks..

i just dont think i have fans.

Makes sense. Drifting is an expensive "sport" though.

(all my opinion. My opinion does not reflect the general opinion of NICO or it's sponsors.)

bring that SMURF to the track and youll gain a few "fans".... not fans of you, but fans of you by association.and is that your corolla?cuz the guy in there has some mean lookin scruff... looks tight.

i can see that..

but does it really matter what you look like when your tearing up the track?

its not like you can even see the front of the car when your driving
Hell yes. The only reason drifting is cool is seeing rad video and pictures of your low drift machine with full aero afterward.

"Broken aero sucks, send it back to its place, don't think too much about it , put it together fast" Nakamura from Burst teachs us the "Burst way" of fixing aero kits.

When you think of Nakamura's drifting and his friends, you think aero kits to them is like paper towels, you use it once and throw it a way. But when you talk to them and ask them about aero kits, they all say the opposite, they fix them, sometimes fiber-glass them to achieve the longest life of the aero.

Team Burst way (Nakamura/Master aero repairer)-Fix it quick(1 minute is your goal)-use the trashed aero wisely.(especially the bottom lip, cause there is a lot of flat surface) cut piece of it it and use it as the back support between broken pieces. You wanna use fiber glass piece instead of sheet metal because its softer for cutting and drilling holes, hence easier repair.-use electric drill and self tapping screw. (nakamura uses self tapping screws to hold the aero to the car, this way is way stronger than zip ties, plus if the aero hits the ground only some portion would brake off not the whole thing)-use 5 yen as a washer. it gives a good surface area for the screw to stay on. Its probably good luck too. -fiberglass them from the back when you have nothing to do that weekend(no drift events what so ever), don't paint it. If its together its good to go.

the bumper isn't my main concern, it's the LIP.

super expensive and now discontinued apparently.
dammit, i had no idea that lip is discontinued, i hope i can find one when i'm ready.

this thread is getting kinda retarded, and i don't see how its a good idea to run a fiberglass/ cf hood without pins. if you don't want to run pins its fine, but don't act like its a great idea.
