I'm wondering if that would actually make a difference tho? i hear the stock intake manifold for the ka is made for low-end torque but it looks identical to the old redtop manifolds

BH, i dunno if you were considering a n/a rb but that dude on my thread with the skyline made 180 whp and he said he paid 800 bucks for the engine. Engine is cheap, looks cool, sounds phenomenal, it's different... but the swap would cost a bit purchasing the Mckinnley motor and transmission mounts, etc etc...idk just some food for thought

yeah but isn't his 180 a full on drift car? He said he didn't wanna spend too much on an engine swap.

CA does suck tho, it's a holocaust of JDM engine swaps =/

i did a itb setup on my ka in my s14 before i went kat. really woke the engine up. only thing though is i wasnt running cams, or a header. only cost me $200 for the entire setup, and took me about a week to do from start to finish. i never had any problems either. made a plenum, and ran off the stock maf. instead of it dying off at 5500 rpms, i could rev to the limiter and still pull if i wanted. now, only imagine what cams, header, and a nice tune would do. NASTY.

heres a pic for reference....
Can you please provide more pictures and details. I really want to do this. I'm staying NA KA until I go ls1 v8...

So, I spent Friday driving the car around most of the day. I haven't really driven it much at all since the last drift event. It seems to drive fine. It gets SOME looks, but not as many as the bright blue S14. (this is good)

I had police cars around me a couple times, and they didn't even slow down to follow me. GOOD.

I think this color is working out perfectly.

I'm going to try and hit up a drift event in the near future... maybe end of the month.

I don't know.

I really want to, but I'm not going to front the money for them.

I have more important things to use my money on at this point.

If somebody buys my GTRs and Advans, then I will get those Blitz wheels.

i think it's the OEM aero that keeps the attention down as well. I've had cops come up quick behind me and they just pass me :D

BH do you have all 4 GTR wheels?

Go drive Inland Drift out in Lake Perris. It was a fun track with KA. I think I will go back soon.

Well I got invited to drive the mock event so there weren't too many people when I drove. But I saw pics from later events and it doesn't look too bad. The track was a little rough on some spots and my aero was dragging on it which wasn't good, but I heard that they paved all the rough surfaces. Would have been nice if they did the whole track. I would be there every weekend. The other drawback for me was they make you sit in a dirt lot to wait and it drags all that on the track which creates a dirty a** car and interior. It was horrible.

sounds like a mess, but since i dont ave any courses like Sekia hills in my backyard, i guess this will do. i have my fingers crossed that the scene out there doesnt make it get closed down, i think a weekly drift course with "regulars" will really help the level of drifting out here. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.

There is also Adams Kart track but that place sucks. I drove it once but it isn't even fun to me. Everybody there spins and wastes time. And they raise their prices pretty much every week. And it is packed as hell. Lametown.

i think i was confusing the 2 places as 1 place, its all IE to me. that cart track seems kinda toy-ish to me.
