some idiot just screamed at me for breaking in my brakes. is that illegal?like really. wtf. i was driving around my development accelerating then braking almost stopped then repeat. i told the guy i was breaking in brakes and hes llike "oh well thers kids out" ok so 1. just because my cars flat black doesnt mean im a danger to children. and there wasnt any kids out anyway.2. yes theres was snow on the ground.. but im in the road. which was plowed. and salted. wtf. i hate people.

anyway.. ive decided on 350z rims. the 7spoke 17in ones.

Good to see ur build thread man. If you don't wanna be constrained to a lot of negative camber/ fender pulling, get the +15mm offset 16x8 wheels. Otherwise i should have u take a look at my 'fitment' to see if you like it...

I never broke in my brakes, just went to maple grove road for a session haha..Normal citizens always get pissy though. I'm sure doug remembers the neighbors of mine who jumped out in front of us because this guy thought we were racing and he wasn't having it! lawl

The only way z33 wheel look good on an s13 is if you go with lower profile tires, and do an aggressive lowering job.

Z33 wheels are relatively heavy, and the aggressive lowering will hurt your handling.

thats why i like the 350z ones. i have lots of 17 in tires sitting around. no 16s tho. and unless im mistaken the z wheels fit nice without any issues.and they look super sexy.

and ya id go with 40 for the tire profile. and coils are comin soon.

10lbs in unsprung weight is like 50 in sprung weight. Yes. That will make a difference. In the grand scheme of things you will more than likely notice, but I wanted to point out that your observation is flawed.

And stop boosting that much. I have been working with CA for over 6 years and that will only lead to cracked ring lands and/or cracked pistons. I have done both. Get a better fuel system and a real boost controller and then take her past 12psi.

yes theres a tire on it. but the tire isnt a complete tire. i might try to rip it off completly later. but eh..still its a pretty heavy rim for being 17x7

Yeah sprung weight is worse but meh. Get stiff coils. OE wheels should weigh less than those heavy 'sport' wheels. I had 17's on my 1st car... they were ADR fuel's. 16 lb per wheel no tire iirc. Still, the weight is more focused farther from the hub and you can feel the momentum difference. Hopefully you'll notice an increase in accel/ decel with the Z wheels versus the poop pepboys ones.

I like the look of that s13 with those z wheels. Do get Z33 wheels, don't get Z32 wheels.

You should also look into G35 wheels for a sick concave face. Friend of mine rocked them on his s13 around here but sold em. They looked great.

I second the 2nd gear redline issue that keegan suggested; rev sensor problems.

Hmmmm I wanna see your car over break... Let's wait for the snow to clear up... maybe sonic meets still exist right now on sundays in brownstown? idk

didderson.let me know about sonic. i have found the sonic over here to have uber fast scions an such...so i have learned to stay away. nvr been to brownstown.

i got some goodies for xmas. but lots of stuff to wash cars with nice paint. which i dont have. but i got a air comp. so.. i think i might paint my car one piece at a time in my garage. bad idea?

If it was a blue one low/black wheels and a stroker kit... I beat his time in autox in the summer. Cool guy though. hehe

Not a bad idea at all. especially if you have a nice regulator and a decent tank size for that compressor you can paint a car nicely Try not to cheap out on a paint gun though. Materials are expensive. I took an autobody class in highschool. Worth it, but I wish i had an air setup but it helped my rattling skills like no other lol.

didderson.i already had it resurfaced at gilberts auto. it came out nice. theyr a tiny shop but they do nice work.i cant take it somewhere to have it put in. then i dont learn anything. oh and i dont have the money. and reson needs replacing is the current flywheel has a few teeth missing so at random it doesnt crank when i go to start it. it sux cuz i gota bump start it to move the flyheel a lil bit so it engages.its just a tad annoying..

and thanks joe.
