Who'd you buy it from? Coverlay offers a lifetime warranty against that kind of stuff. Prpoer preparation is also vital to long life.

If yours started looking like that after 2 months, seems to me you should've been all over that company!

By the way, I'm not with Coverlay. Just the guy that asked them to make them for us.

I ordered from their web site and followed their directions to the key. Just did not work out for me. I recently purchased a dash from a junk yard...so problem solved. I hope that you guys have better luck than I did. Like I said, I'm not here to bash them, just want to share my experience with this product.

now sr20pwered can finally get that black dash he's always wanted.

dash looks good, not feeling the edges on the sides, if my replacement dash cracks at least i got an option. i'd probably end up doing a dash swap then as well....

good work on getting these made.

Looks decent enough. I'd love to see detailed pics of the edges, though, especially around the a/c vents. I still don't think I can justify a 160 overlay just for one crack on my dash though.

If I had one of those dash caps, I'd paint it a satin dark charcoal. A lil too glossy.

You don't have to paint it - they can make it in whatever finish you want.

They can do a non-gloss satin finish?

You'd think they wouldn't even offer gloss. It is a dashboard after all. The glare off of that thing must be redonk.

It's better to peel off the vinyl and take out the foam and fiberglass the skeleton and flush mount in some gauge pods. You end up with a very sturdy product which you can sand and paint to your liking. I will be starting my dashboard project this weekend and continuing it during the mornings until complete. I will create a thread with walkthrough complete with pics every step of the way.

Yeah, I liked the look of the Coverlay thing before I saw it installed, and it's still better than having a cracked dash. But since labor is so cheap over here, I might do the strip/fiberglass thing, too.
